Be Wise, yet Be Innocent

When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it.
Genesis 3:6 NIV

Brothers and sisters, if someone is caught in a sin, you who live by the Spirit should restore that person gently. But watch yourselves, or you also may be tempted.
Galatians 6:1 NIV

We are all called to evangelize, and once we are born in the faith it becomes a desire in our heart to do so, but there is catch and one ought to be very careful, for our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces(Eph 6:12) that can deceive even the ones closest to God. The question then arises that do we stop evangelizing or should we change our personality?

Jesus said, "seeing I am sending you out like sheep among wolves, so be shrewd as snakes and innocent as doves" (Mat 10:16), quite a contrast that, snakes and doves, wolves and sheep. But God knows every being, cos he has made them. He made the snake shrewd, but the snake acts to its own accord, which is why the enemy used the serpent to tempt Eve, that it compelled her to give into temptation thus committing sin. When you do God's work you don't rely on your own strength, you rely on Jesus, for He overcame every temptation in the dessert, likewise when Jesus spoke the Gospel, He proclaimed God's Love and Mercy. Therefore Be Wise, yet Be Innocent

I pray to God our Father, that you walk in the path chosen for you in Christ Jesus our Saviour and Lord, that every step you take may bring you and all you encounter closer to God, and in this, your endeavor may you be guided and guarded by His Holy Spirit. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)
