And lead us not into Temptation

Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him. “This, then, is how you should pray: ‘Our Father in heaven,   hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done,   on earth as it is in heaven. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.   ’
Matthew 6:8‭-‬10‭, ‬13 NIV

On reaching the place, he said to them, “Pray that you will not fall into temptation.”  He withdrew about a stone’s throw beyond them, knelt down and prayed, “Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done.”
Luke 22:40‭-‬42 NIV

The 'Hour' that Jesus referred to was that of Him on the cross. The God who created the earth was now subject to death in most shameful manner; stripped, flogged and nailed to a cross like a criminal. He who was without sin, now had the sins of the world on Him. But as He stay on the cross He was tempted to save himself, His whole authority with what He taught was questioned. Yet He resisted the temptation, because that was His constant prayer. Temptation in itself is not sin, when we give into temptation that becomes sin. Therefore we too should always pray for the same, not to be lead into temptation, but to be delivered from every evil.

I pray the God our Father protects you in His loving mercy and may you find strength in Christ to resist temptations and may His Holy Spirit be your counsel. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)
