Be Still, like Mary....

He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” Psalm 46:10 NIV Then Simeon blessed them and said to Mary, his mother: “This child is destined to cause the falling and rising of many in Israel, and to be a sign that will be spoken against, so that the thoughts of many hearts will be revealed. And a sword will pierce your own soul too.” Luke 2:34‭-‬35 NIV The best example of 'Being Still' drawn from the word of God is that of Mary. Imagine her plight she is told she is the mother of God's son yet she is also told a sword is to pierce her soul, and it did through the seven sorrows. What would we do if we were in Mary's place. Yet Mary trusted God more than anything around her. Infact after Jesus ascension it was Mary who kept the apostles together and it was in the upper room the Glory of God was revealed, only because Mary was still and knew God. Mama Mary I pray to thee to continue your intercession for us that we may to Be still and know the Father's love as we continue to place our Hope in His Son Jesus Christ as we go about our daily lives listening to the voice of His Holy Spirit.
