Discerning the will of God

The Lord came and stood there, calling as at the other times, “Samuel! Samuel!” Then Samuel said, “Speak, for your servant is listening.”
1 Samuel 3:10 NIV

“Abba ,  Father,” he said, “everything is possible for you. Take this cup from me. Yet not what I will, but what you will.”
Mark 14:36 NIV

We are all anxious in life and therefore we are constantly seeking answers in some form or the other. We want God to talk to us and tell us everything He knows about our life. The idea of being vulnerable in a definitive and tangible world is very uncomforting. Lest we forget that though God promised Abraham a son, it took a while for Issac to be born. God told Noah to build the Arch, but He didn't tell him how many days he would have to stay locked in with all kinds of Animals. The last mention of God speaking(through his Angel) to Mary was at the annunciation, but nothing after that. But in Faith they all lived and trusted God with all his plans, so how do we know what God specifically wants us to do?

God has given us instructions in the ten commandments and Jesus summarizes them into two(Mark 12:30-31). Now, this is the pathway we are all called to take for when you are on this path, you accept Gods grace to work for you and when you are open to his graces, it is His will that is established in your life. No matter who you are, or where you are at this point in time, in the words of Neil T Anderson "know that the will of God will not take you where the grace of God cannot keep you" and when you live with Faith God will specifically direct your path to his will.

I pray that you are able to listen to God our Father as He speaks to your heart through his son Jesus, as you entrust your will into His. And may His Holy Spirit guide to the path of fruition. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)
