My Lord and My God

You, God, are my God, earnestly I seek you; I thirst for you, my whole being longs for you, in a dry and parched land where there is no water.
Psalm 63:1 NIV

Jesus replied: ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’
Matthew 22:37‭, Mark 12:30, Luke 10:27  NIV

The first and the greatest commandment mentioned in the old testament in Deuteronomy 6:5 is also reiterated by Jesus in three out of the four gospels. Surely it means that this is very important to God, for He desires us, to himself. But this world He has placed us in seems to be lost, with loss comes hurt and suffering, and all you need to ease the pain is Love. But God wants us to love him with all our heart, soul and mind? How is this possible when we cannot see or feel him, how does He expect us to love him when He himself has placed us in a tangible world?

You do so by simply placing him first in your life, before your relationships, before you career, before money, before your every need and want, before anything and everything in your life God has to be first. When you enter in a romantic relationship, no matter how busy or tired you are, you would find time to connect with the one you love. In the same way, God wants to be loved, which is why He commands us, so as to know that Love is not just about affection, it's also about commitment. And when we love God with all our heart, and all our soul and with all our mind, by giving him the number one priority in our life, we shall experience what it is to be unconditionally loved without having to place our hands in his wounds or in his side, thus our hearts will exclaim; "My Lord and My God."

I pray that you feel loved by God our Father as He pours out on you unconditional Grace through his Son Jesus Christ and may His Holy Spirit wrap around you the unending joys of the peace and acceptance that comes from knowing that you are God's beloved. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)
