Take up your Cross

See, I have set before you today life and prosperity, death and adversity.

Deuteronomy 30:15

Then he said to them all, “If any want to become my followers, let them deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.

Luke 9:23

The word of God is very clear in what God sets before us; the choice is with us. We can choose what we’d like or we can be like Jesus who denying himself said, “Father let your will be done.” Perhaps this can be our daily prayer too, as we deny ourselves of all that we want and allow God to work his way in our life as we take up our daily cross.

I pray that God  our Father give you the grace to take up your daily cross as you emulate His son Jesus who in all obedience submitted to the will of the Father. And may His Holy Spirit give you the heart, courage and wisdom in all that you do. Amen
