And Jesus answered him, "Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jona! For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Father who is in heaven. And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the powers of death shall not prevail against it."

Tend the flock of God that is your charge, not by constraint but willingly, not for shameful gain but eagerly, not as domineering over those in your charge but being examples to the flock.
1 Peter 5:2-3
God knew the Church He wanted to establish, He came to called the sinners, the blind, the hungry, the thirsty and not the ones who were full of themselves. He came to call those who will rely on His Grace. For that is what the Church teaches, to accept God willingly, not by constraint and by being examples, and who better than Peter. For though He denied Jesus, Jesus told Peter to feed his Lambs.
I pray that God our Father pours out on you His Love and Grace so that you see Jesus as the True Shepherd and emulate him in all aspects of your life, so that, on the day you tend to his flock, your test will be your testimony. And may His Holy Spirit give you the wisdom and right judgment in all things. Amen
