Let your will be done

The Lord said, “If as one people speaking the same language they have begun to do this, then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them.

Genesis 11:6 NIV

Then he called the crowd to him along with his disciples and said: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.

Mark 8:34 NIV

We were created for God, but He didn't want robots following commands, He wants us to choose willingly, which is why He gave us a free will. So that when we pray, Lord, let your will be done, we know consciously that we are opening our lives to his will, which means that we must deny ourselves because then it's not about what you want, it's about His will. Even Jesus said, Father if it is possible, take this cup away from me, yet not mine, but thy will be done.

I pray that God our Father draws you closer to his son Jesus in whom life in all its abundance is found. And may His Holy Spirit give you the strength and fortitude to say yes to the will of God. Amen
