Accept whatever befalls you, and in times of humiliation be patient. For gold is tested in the fire, and those found acceptable, in the furnace of humiliation.

Often the world’s idea for how things ought to be are in contrast with the Gospel, having said that, it takes more than faith to really persist in God’s way. Perhaps that is why the first verse in the above chapter in the book of Sirach warns the faithful ready to serve God, to prepare well for testing. The only way we can prepare well, is to cling to Jesus, for He is the Way, the Truth & the Life.
I pray that God our Father through his grace pours out on you the understanding that all Hope is found only Jesus, so that you may resign to Gods way of life. May His Holy Spirit give you the strength, courage and conviction to follow your heart. Amen
