The one virtue that God loves a lot is Humility, and the word of God confirms the same throughout the Bible. Humility is not weakness or meekness, it is the acceptance of the truth, that we are dependent on God. While it is true that in making us in His image and likeness, He gave us free will, but this free will can often be fleeting and lead us to our downfall. But when we are accepting of God's will, we humble ourselves to know it is God's Grace that is working and leading our paths. The opposite of humility is pride and God hates the proud. For it was pride that got the brightest Angel thrown out of heaven. Imagine then how much we hurt God when act in pride. Let us in all our ways acknowledge God in everything and in all sincerity and humility accept His will for us.
I pray that God the Father draws your heart to imitate his Son Jesus who accepted death even on a cross by saying "Let your will be done" and may your paths be guided in Humility by the gentleness of His Holy Spirit. Amen
