Christ like in all aspects

So you are no longer a slave, but God’s child; and since you are his child, God has made you also an heir.

Reflection:
The exchange on the cross not only bought us our salvation but also made us Christ like in every aspect. The choice however, to choose Jesus Christ as your Saviour, is with you.

Prayer:
I pray that today and everyday God our Father, gives you the grace to choose Jesus as your Lord and Saviour. And may his Holy Spirit Bless you with wisdom, knowledge and understanding of God's purpose for your life. Amen

There is power in the name of Jesus. When Jesus is in the fore, everything becomes Holy and powerful, be it your words or deeds and for this let us always bless the Lord.

Eternal God

Reflection:
At a very base level, we all crave for immortality, and often seek it the things of this world. The world was created by Him, who was from the beginning and life is found in Him who is and will always be there.

Prayer:
I pray that your thirst for eternity draws you to God our Father. May Jesus Christ, Lord and Saviour quench your thirst with life giving waters of his Holy Spirit as you are born again into new life. Amen

Jesus my Saviour

If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

Reflection:
The truth is we are all sinners and Jesus came to set us free from sin.  However, if we do not acknowledge our sinfulness, how can Jesus, set us free?

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to acknowledge Jesus as your Saviour as you renounce the old ways. And may his Holy Spirit give you the grace and humility to walk in the light. Amen

Proclaim Jesus

Reflection:
When God touches your life, it is no longer the same. And the new found peace and joy cannot be contained, that is why the disciples shared the word and that is why we share the word.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father makes your heart fertile to receive his word in Christ Jesus, as it takes root and blossoms into fruit bearing tree led by his Holy Spirit. Amen

Rely on God

When they bring you to trial, do not worry about what you are going to say or how you will say it; when the time comes, you will be given what you will say.  For the words you will speak will not be yours; they will come from the Spirit of your Father speaking through you.

Reflection:
Many times we find ourselves at the crossroads of propositions. And it is best that we rely on God to lead us. For God's ways are not our ways and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding will guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

I pray that you submit to God our Father at all times so that your heart and mind is guarded in Christ Jesus. And may his Holy Spirit give you wisdom, knowledge, and understanding at all times. Amen

While there is nothing as small for God, we ought to know that, all He promises, will be done.  So even if He has promised to get you the moon. He will get it done.

Holy Mary

Reflection:
When we say the 'Holy Mary' 'Blessed are you amongst women...' we are only regurgitating on the word of God, which food for our soul.

I pray that God our Father brings to life his word in your heart, so that you may grow in full maturity in Jesus Christ. May his Holy Spirit bless you wisdom and understanding of the word. Amen

Intercession through Mary

When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the baby leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit.

Reflection:
We often undermine Mary's role in the salvation story. She was a simple little girl in the town of Nazareth, yet God chose her to be the Mother of Jesus, why? because even when you go to her, she will direct you to God.


Prayer:
I pray that through the intercession of Mama Mary, you are led to God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit thus bringing your life to it's purpose and fulfillment. Amen

There are so many things that God wants of us; Breaking a bad habit, Forgiving those who hurt, letting go of that we aren't supposed to hold Can we like Mary say; 'Be it unto me according to the word'

Reflection:
While we were little children, our prayers, relationship, and dependency on God was so different to what is now. We simply trusted God for everything. Can we supplicate him with the same Faith?

I pray that you are transposed by your Faith to call on God our Father, so that you may saunter in the truth, way and life of Jesus Christ. May his Holy Spirit shield your heart and chaperone you. Amen

Reflection:
God not only created us, but He gave us free will, and having misused our free will that brought us death, he came down to die for us, so that we, who are his creation may live with him. Who can comprehend the mysteries of God? But we can surely give him Thanks and Praise.

Reflection:
God has made us in his image and likeness, yet it is the choices of our free will that have distorted not just our vision, but at how we are looked at. God is maker and saviour, only he can take away our impurities and make us new and whole again.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father draws you to him, so that you can call on Jesus to make your new and whole again. And may his Holy Spirit abet your actions as you reach out to God. Amen

As humans, our vantage point is often introverted, and hence we become what we shouldn't have. But God's ways are different, and in his wisdom, He not only made us but also saved us.

Treasures in Heaven

Reflection:
While we are journeying on Earth, our final destination and true treasures are in Heaven. It is there that all the mysteries will be revealed to us, it is there that we shall see God in all his Glory.

I pray that you are open to the will of the Father so that like Jesus you too can build his kingdom. And may his Holy Spirit guide and guard you always. Amen

Reflection:
All our Joy, Peace, Hope and Rest is found in God alone. Nothing on this Earth can fill in the void. For our hearts were made for you Lord and they will only find their rest in you.

I pray that God our Father draws you close to Jesus his son, so that you can find rest and strength. And as you soar high, may his Holy Spirit be the wind beneath your wings. Amen

Reflection:
You can trust God to keep his promises, you can trust God to keep his word. Through Mary God fulfilled his promises by giving to the world it's Saviour, even if it meant his only son. Can we say to God then, 'Let your will be done,' knowing fully that God will keep his word.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father opens your heart to his word in Christ Jesus, so that you may emulate the truth in your life, bringing hope, light and peace to this world. And may his Holy Spirit be upon you to guide your path and discern your decisions. Amen

Prepare for the Lord

Reflection:
When we expect guests at our home, we prepare the place to welcome them. At the Eucharist, through the penitential rite we confess our sins and prepare our hearts to receive Jesus in Holy Communion. But what if Jesus stood in front of us today. Are we prepared to meet God ?

I pray that God our Father through his grace help you prepare your heart, mind, body and soul to meet Jesus in all his Glory. May his Holy Spirit bless you with it's fruits and gifts and assist you in this your endeavour. Amen

Building The Kingdom of God

Reflection:
At some point in our life we have experienced the grace of through a fellow being, through a worker in God's vineyard. And Now that our lives have been touched, are we open to work to build his Kingdom?

God of all Possibilities

Reflection:
We have God, who created the world and its people, he has parted the red Sea, freed his people from slavery, sent down his only son, to be born of a virgin and bought us Salvation. We have God who can raise the dead to life. Know that nothing and absolutely nothing is impossible with God.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father through his grace increases the faith in your heart, to know that everything is possible through him. So you can do even greater works than Jesus to build the kingdom of God. May his Holy Spirit be your helper and guide. Amen

While we are called to be in a relationship with God above, we are also called to be in a relationship with our neighbors. As our lips pray our hands must serve.

I pray that God our Father moulds your heart like his, so that, like Jesus you will see the world and it's people in love. May his Holy Spirit give you words to pray, and strengthen your being to serve. Amen

Be Child Like

Reflection:
The beauty about children is that, they are unconditional in their trust, faith and love. But as adults we base everything on our intellect. Perhaps that is why the mysteries of the kingdom are revealed to Children.

Preparing our Hearts

Reflection:
It is true that we aren't worthy of the Lord entering under roof yet then Jesus bids us to come and abide in him and wants to abide in us, for that is the only way to our salvation.

Prayer:
I prayer that God our Father reveals to you the mystery of communion with Christ, so that you can open your heart. And may his his Holy Spirit bears in you its fruits, thus preparing you Heart, mind, body and soul. Amen

That Jesus is coming, is certain, but no one knows when? Fortunately for us we have the word of God that reminds us all the time, to be ready, for surely Jesus is coming again...

Reflection:
While we are given a life on Earth, it surely is for a purpose, and that purpose should lead us to God so that we can spend eternity with him. However there are a lot of things that keep us from finding our purpose, and that is something we are called to be aware of.


Prayer:
I pray that God our Father reveals to you his purpose for you, so that you can stay on course just like Jesus did, fulfilling the Father's will. And may his Holy Spirit be with you at all times helping you discern the steps you take. Amen

Jesus - The word of God

I saw in the night visions, and behold, with the clouds of heaven there came one like a son of man, and he came to the Ancient of Days and was presented before him. And to him was given dominion and glory and a kingdom, that all peoples, nations, and languages should serve him; his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom one that shall not be destroyed.

Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.

Reflection:
Every single word in the Bible is true. Jesus is the word of God and that word was with God in the beginning. And it is through the world that God spoke the world into existence and when man disobeyed God, the Word was made flesh to save the world. Believe and see the words come alive in your life.

Prayer:
I pray that you are lead to the word of life by the grace of God the Father, for it is only through Jesus that we are saved. And may his Holy Spirit help you open your heart to receive God's blessings. Amen

Reflection:
This is the absolute truth that “Jesus is Lord,” There will always be opinions and perspectives, but nothing can change the truth, for it doesn't change with time or circumstances. The truth is always constant.

Reflection:
Humility is being conscious of who you are. Yes, you may be talented, you may be rich, you may even be an awesome bike rider. But all we have comes from the Grace of God. And that is why God is Good.


Prayer:
God our Father Thank you for all your Goodness. May always acknowledge your grace like Jesus your son did, giving you Glory through all his works. And as I set out to do them, I ask you to send down your Holy Spirit to guide me. Amen

Discern through Gods Wisdom

And he said, "Truly, I tell you, this poor widow has put in more than all of them.  And he said, "See that you are not led astray. For many will come in my name, saying, 'I am he!' and, 'The time is at hand!' Do not go after them.

Reflection:
There many things that go beyond our understanding and it is at these times that we are called not rely on our human intellect but trust in God's wisdom. And it is this wisdom that will help you discern.


Prayer
God our Father, Thank you for calling me to your kingdom through Christ your son. May he always be my beginning and end. I ask of thee, the fruits and gifts of your Holy Spirit to lead this life you've given me. Amen

God is aware of the condition of hearts, the words on our lips, the intent of our actions and the words of our hands. Let all we do, be for the greater Glory of God.

The King is Coming Again

When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit on his glorious throne.  Before him will be gathered all the nations, and he will separate people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.

Reflection:
That Christ will come again as King is certain. And he is coming for a purpose; to judge the living and the dead. Sooner or later I will stand in front for judgement.

Prayer:
God our Father Thank you for the revealing the truth, may I live my life submitting my will to you, so that I am be able to stand in front of Jesus when he comes. May your Holy Spirit be with me in this my endeavour. Amen

Reflection:
While God has given us free will, it is He who reigns supreme both on Heaven and on Earth. When we submit to him, he will bring out the best in us, So all Glory and Honour and Praise to God.

God Our Father, All Glory, Honour and Praise to you. May I always be like your son Jesus Christ, doing all things for your greater Glory and may your Holy Spirit be with me at all times. Amen

Calling out to God

Reflection:
There so many times where we feel distant from God, but that distance is usually created by own selves. To do away with that, all we need to do is cry out to the Lord and take the first step towards him.

Prayer:
God our Father Thank you for always being close to me, for heeding my prodigal call. May I always walk in the light and path of Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior as I am led by your Holy Spirit. Amen.

In need of the Grace of God

How often have we spoken in judgement about our neighbour or the person in church? Let us not forget that someday we'll be standing in for judgement. Each one of us needs the grace of God, without it we would be lost.

Reflection:
The world will tell you many things, but it is the conviction in your heart that matters. Believe in Christ Jesus and call out to him boldly. Your faith will make you well.

Prayer:

Reflection:
Each one of us has received talents by our Lord. But are we even aware of it? And if we are aware that are we using the talents for? Let all Glory be to God.

Walking on Water

Reflection:
While often we hear, that Peter began to sink, the verse above tells  us that he actually walked on water. We too can and are called to walk on water, all we need to do his heed Jesus' call and keep our focus on him.

God our Father Thank you for pouring your grace on me to hear the voice of your son Jesus. May your Holy Spirit give me the wisdom and strength to walk in water. Amen

Reflection:
God is calling us to a greater good and to each one of us he has given a purpose of loving him. But how can we love God if we do not love our neighbour. To everyone we do good we do it unto him.

Reflection:
In wisdom, there is a spirit that is intelligent, holy, unique, manifold, subtle, mobile, clear, unpolluted, distinct, invulnerable, loving the good, keen, irresistible, beneficent, humane, steadfast, sure, free from anxiety, all-powerful, overseeing all, and penetrating through all spirits that are intelligent and pure and most subtle. Wisdom is a breath of the power of God, and a pure emanation of the glory of the Almighty.

Prayer:
God our Father Thank you for gift of life you have given me. My desire is to walk in the light and path of your son Jesus. I ask you of you to enlighten me with your wisdom through the working of your Holy Spirit. Amen

Putting Faith into Practice

Reflection:
Faith is a gift from God, but it's end use lies with us. We can have all the faith in the world, but if we don't put it into practice, it won't work.

Reflection: 
Faith in God is not an intellectual attribute, It is God’s gift to us. When we are humble and open to his grace and mercy, Faith follows suit, thus enabling us to reach out to him, The Font of Eternal and Abundant Life.

Reflection:
Most times we are focused on ourselves falling into sin, but oversee that we could be a cause of temptation to another. Let's be aware, not only about ourselves, but even about how we deal with others.

God our Father Thank you for making me aware of everything around me, may I see the world as Jesus your son did and may lead all the people that come my way to you, as I am led by your Holy Spirit. Amen

Reflection: 
Wisdom is like the scent of God, it has been there, since the creation of time. It is not easily available, you have to seek and desire her, for when you do, she will come to you. 

Prayer: 
God our Father, Thank you for blessing me in all your wisdom, may I seek wisdom so as to be blessed with her, that I may walk in the footsteps of your son Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior. And may your Holy Spirit always help me discern with wisdom. Amen

As baptised Christians, each one of us receives God's Holy Spirit and our body is transformed into a temple for his spirit to reside. Let us be aware of this, so that we can make better decisions with regards to our body.

Co-heirs with Christ

Will of God

“Don't forget what I am about to tell you! The Son of Man is going to be handed over to the power of human beings.”

Reflection:
Although Jesus was Divine, he was also a man, and in giving unto God's will he was given up for men. We cannot fathom God's ways yet we can keep his words in our heart.


Prayer:
God our Father Thank you for your son Jesus whom you sent for my salavation. May always be aware and grateful for his sacrifice as I submit my will to you led by your Holy Spirit. Amen

Gods Promise

There is nothing hidden from God and he wants to show us the promises in reality
