Called to Eternal Life

Those who try to gain their own life will lose it; but those who lose their life for my sake will gain it.
Matthew 10:39 GNBDK

Reflection:
We often live life here on earth as if life is going to last forever. The good news is that we are all called to eternal life;  but since earth is bound by time, eternity is beyond the realm of this world. Where will we spend our eternity depends on the choices we make here on earth.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to accept his gift of eternal life found in Christ Jesus his son as you accept him as your Lord and Saviour. May his Holy Spirit assist you in all that you do. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Being Christ Like

And Jesus concluded, “In your opinion, which one of these three acted like a neighbour towards the man attacked by the robbers?” The teacher of the Law answered, “The one who was kind to him.” Jesus replied, “You go, then, and do the same.”
Luke 10:36‭-‬37 GNBDK

Reflection:
We cannot love God without loving our neighbour, and this perquisite comes from Jesus himself. We all are called to reflect Christ in our Christianity. For the world then will know we are Christians by our love.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to reflect his unconditional love that you find in the Salvation gained by Jesus Christ his son. May his Holy Spirit teach you with wisdom and bless you with understanding. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Ploughing his Word

"When they persecute you in one town, run away to another one. I assure you that you will not finish your work in all the towns of Israel before the Son of Man comes".
Matthew 10:23 GNBDK

Reflection:
Jesus is second coming is inevitable, but this time around He is coming for the harvest. Our work then as disciples is the plough the Word into the hearts of the children of God all over the  world.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to go out and share his Word, made flesh in Christ Jesus his son, the source and font of all goodness. And may his Holy Spirit enrich your life with wisdom, knowledge and understanding. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Understanding Opposites

"And if some home or town will not welcome you or listen to you, then leave that place and shake the dust off your feet. I assure you that on the Judgement Day God will show more mercy to the people of Sodom and Gomorrah than to the people of that town!"
Matthew 10:14‭-‬15 GNBDK

Reflection:
While we know that God is Good and kind and loving, these words from Jesus might sound a little difficult to comprehend. But Consider this; the opposite of hot is cold, of up is down so on and so forth. Similarly, when we sin, we are distancing ourselves from God. We are going in the opposite direction, God is not moving away from us. Therefore the onus is on us and the choices we make to accept or reject God's word.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to accept his word made flesh in Christ Jesus his son. May you always stay close to God as choose what you are lead to; by his Holy Spirit. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Heaven is near

"Go and preach, ‘The Kingdom of heaven is near!’ "
Matthew 10:7 GNBDK

Reflection:
On journey here on earth heaven is perhaps the last thing on our mind, and that is because we are so caught up with life on earth, that we mistakenly live as if we are to always live on earth. Well life is a journey and our destination is Heaven. We were created for all eternity, but where we spend our eternity is all dependent on the choices we make here on earth.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to always choose wisely,  may you walk in the way and light of Jesus who is the truth. And may his Holy Spirit always lead lead you to make the right choices. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Marking disciples for Christ

Jesus went round visiting all the towns and villages. He taught in the synagogues, preached the Good News about the Kingdom, and healed people with every kind of disease and sickness.
Matthew 9:35 GNBDK

Reflection:
As disciples of Christ we have the onus us to work for the kingdom of God. We are called to build his kingdom and Jesus himself has shown us a way; Teaching, Preaching and Healing. While some may have the gifts to all three some may have none, but when we submit ourselves to God his grace will lead us on.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to move out of your comfort zone as you embrace your purpose and calling of Christ. May you make true disciples for our Lord Jesus Christ as you are lead by his Holy Spirit. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

God is with us

"Remember, I will be with you and protect you wherever you go, and I will bring you back to this land. I will not leave you until I have done all that I have promised you."
Genesis 28:15 GNBDK

Reflection:
To each one of us God has made promise. He has given us his word and he will not go back on it. For God's Word is the truth the way and the life. Know that at all times, God is with us and he will never leave.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to receive his word incarnate in our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. May you always walk in his ways led by his Holy Spirit. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Working for the Lord

He said to them, “There is a large harvest, but few workers to gather it in. Pray to the owner of the harvest that he will send out workers to gather in his harvest.
Luke 10:2 GNBDK

Reflection:
Each one of us has a role to play in the building of God's kingdom. As workers in Christ vineyard we out to work for love, peace and unity and not for worldly things, for nothing for the world we will take along with us.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to open to his calling. May you follow in the way and the light of Jesus Christ his son, spreading the word of God. May his Holy Spirit always assist you at all times. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Take it all Jesus

Then the followers of John the Baptist came to Jesus, asking, “Why is it that we and the Pharisees fast often, but your disciples don't fast at all?”  Jesus answered, “Do you expect the guests at a wedding party to be sad as long as the bridegroom is with them? Of course not! But the day will come when the bridegroom will be taken away from them, and then they will fast.
Matthew 9:14‭-‬15 GNBDK

Reflection:
We all have questions with regards to the faith, and the sometimes even the religious do. Know that there is an answer to every question, we just have to approach the right person. And that is Jesus for what a friend we have in him, not only our griefs and sorrows, but. all our questions and doubts we can take to him. The answers will come through his word or his people, be open and believe.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to accept his word in your life. May you find the answers to all your questions in Jesus Christ his son and may his Holy Spirit reveal to you the mysteries according to the will of God. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

The Authority of the son of Man

Knowing their thoughts, Jesus said, “Why do you entertain evil thoughts in your hearts? I want you to know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins.”
Matthew 9:4‭, ‬6A NIV

Reflection:
Why do we confess our sins to priest who is as human as we are? These thought have pondered the minds of men for long. But know that this authority has been established and passed on by Jesus himself, this Jesus the lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to accept the teachings of his word and authority. May you listen to the voice of Jesus that is constantly speaking to your heart and may his Holy Spirit always be by your side. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Doubt no more

Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here, and look at my hands; then stretch out your hand and put it in my side. Stop your doubting, and believe!”  Thomas answered him, “My Lord and my God!”
John 20:27‭-‬28 GNBDK

Reflection:
Many a times we get stuck with prayer requests as if we need God to answer the prayer not merely for our sake but perhaps to prove his existence. But a closer look at our very own lives, and we will find the Hand of God in every good thing. And that is the result of Faith; for if everything was logical and could be explained, we wouldn't need to be people of Faith.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to believe in his word made flesh in Christ Jesus his son so that you may have life in abundance. May his Holy Spirit always keep the flame of faith burning in your heart. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

02 July 2019

Keeping the Faith

“Why are you so frightened?” Jesus answered. “How little faith you have!” Then he got up and ordered the winds and the waves to stop, and there was a great calm.
Matthew 8:26 GNBDK

Reflection:
The Christian journey is very exciting, because Gods ways our not our ways and therefore along the way you might encounter things you weren't even expecting in the first place.  Know that God is always by your side and in the moments you think he is the far away, He is with you in the same boat. All you need to do; is to keep the Faith.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you grace to keep your faith at all times. May you always know that  and experience the love of Jesus in your life as you are comforted and guided by his Holy Spirit. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

God and his ways

A teacher of the Law came to him. “Teacher,” he said, “I am ready to go with you wherever you go.” Jesus answered him, “Foxes have holes, and birds have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lie down and rest.”
Matthew 8:19‭-‬20 GNBDK

Reflection:
We often tend to think of God as a magician. We place a request and it will be done, if we follow him things will change overnight. Know that God is more interested in your character rather than your comfort, and our journey here on earth is a preparation to meet him. God's ways our not our ways, and when we choose to follow him, we must accept his way.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to be accepting of all that He desire from you. May you become a new creation as you find your identity in Jesus Christ his son and may you be always lead by his Holy Spirit. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Lead by the Spirit

What I say is this: let the Spirit direct your lives, and you will not satisfy the desires of the human nature. For what our human nature wants is opposed to what the Spirit wants, and what the Spirit wants is opposed to what our human nature wants. These two are enemies, and this means that you cannot do what you want to do.
Galatians 5:16‭-‬17 GNBDK

Reflection:
We all call ourselves Christians because we follow Christ. But a closer examine at our inner most self will reveal to us that we are so unlike Christ. For Christ was always led by the Spirit and He obeyed no matter how difficult it was. But we tend to give in to the flesh rather than be obedient to the Spirit. Know that it is the spirit the gives life, the flesh is temporary while the spirit is eternal.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to submit willingly just like Jesus his son did. And may you always be lead by his Holy Spirit. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Depending on God's Grace like Peter and Paul

As for me, the hour has come for me to be sacrificed; the time is here for me to leave this life. I have done my best in the race, I have run the full distance, and I have kept the faith.
2 Timothy 4:6‭-‬7 GNBDK

“Good for you, Simon son of John!” answered Jesus. “For this truth did not come to you from any human being, but it was given to you directly by my Father in heaven.  And so I tell you, Peter: you are a rock, and on this rock foundation I will build my church, and not even death will ever be able to overcome it.
Matthew 16:17‭-‬18 GNBDK

Reflection:
Two very distinct personalities, one a learned scholar, Paul and t he other a passionate fisherman. Both of them had one thing in common; their burning love for Jesus. As the church celebrates the solemnity of these two pillars of our faith. Let us remember that both Peter and Paul relied not in their own strengths but solely on the Grace that comes from God.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to rely in his providence for all you need. May Jesus' words breathe  Spirit and life renewing your mind, heart, body and will. And may you always be lead by his Holy Spirit. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

God Loves You Unconditionally!!!

It is a difficult thing for someone to die for a righteous person. It may even be that someone might dare to die for a good person. But God has shown us how much he loves us — it was while we were still sinners that Christ died for us!
Romans 5:7‭-‬8 GNBDK

Reflection:
What if the Supreme Court of your country convicted you of a crime you did. But just at the time of sentencing someone who loves you immensely came and took the sentence on your behalf. How would you react? Well something similar has happened in the realm of life and beyond. God not only loves you immensely, but unconditionally and therefore Christ died for us while we were still sinners.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to know him and his unconditional love for you. May you cling on to Jesus the source of Hope and life. And may his Holy Spirit lead you to God's ways. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Inside Vs Outside

"Not everyone who calls me ‘Lord, Lord’ will enter the Kingdom of heaven, but only those who do what my Father in heaven wants them to do."
Matthew 7:21 GNBDK

Reflection:
It is imperative that as our outer is so be our inner selves, for nothing is hidden to God. While you may claim righteousness to show the world your faith, God sees our intentions and it's preceding actions. Therefore think wisely, choose right and live well.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to obedient to his will just as Jesus Christ his son was. May his Holy Spirit help you to submit to God's will at all times. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Bearing Good Fruit

Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them.
Matthew 7:17‭, ‬20 NIV

Reflection:
As Christians we are called to bear fruit (See Gal 5:22-23A) and it is by these fruits that we are recognized as the true disciples of Jesus. We are going to be challenged, tested and tempted but we ought to abide in the word and allow the word to abide in us, thus the world will know we Christians by our love.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to abide in his word made flesh in Jesus Christ as you bear the fruit of his Holy Spirit thus living as a true and faith disciple. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Living Life to the Fullest

"Do for others what you want them to do for you: this is the meaning of the Law of Moses and of the teachings of the prophets."
Matthew 7:12 GNBDK

Reflection:
Often times we find ourselves in disappointment, beacuse our expectations haven't been met. And that will always be the case for those who have expectations. Rather than focusing on expectations, we ought to consciously try to do that what we would have expected from another, and doing so we would be at peace.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to live a life pleasing to him as you walk in the way and light of Jesus Christ his son. May his Holy Spirit help you in doing all that you would expect from others. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Plan and Purpose for your life

You created every part of me; you put me together in my mother's womb.  I praise you because you are to be feared; all you do is strange and wonderful. I know it with all my heart.
Psalms 139:13‭-‬14 GNBDK

Zechariah asked for a writing tablet and wrote, “His name is John.” How surprised they all were!
Luke 1:63 GNBDK

Reflection:
Nothing in life is a coincidence, for every good thing comes from God. We aren't just born into this world, we are a handiwork of God, for he knew us much before were born, and He even knew our names. Have you ever realized you didn't choose the place, the time or family in which you are born. You are where you are because God has placed you there and he has a plan and purpose for your life.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to know and see yourself as He does. May you accept his plan and purpose for your life just like Jesus did to glorify God. And may his Holy Spirit bless you with wisdom and courage to walk in the truth and light of God. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

The Body and Blood of Jesus

This means that every time you eat this bread and drink from this cup you proclaim the Lord's death until he comes.
1 Corinthians 11:26 GNBDK

Jesus took the five loaves and two fish, looked up to heaven, thanked God for them, broke them, and gave them to the disciples to distribute to the people.
Luke 9:16 GNBDK

Reflection:
The Eucharistic celebration is the breaking and sharing of Christ Body and Jesus himself said to do it in his memory. For as it is revealed to Paul, as long as we do it; we proclaim the death and resurrection until Jesus comes again.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to partake in the breaking of the Bread. May you be nourished in mind body and soul as you worthily receive his son Jesus his son and may his Holy Spirit set your heart on fire with the love of God. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Gods grace will suffice

But his answer was: “My grace is all you need, for my power is greatest when you are weak.” I am most happy, then, to be proud of my weaknesses, in order to feel the protection of Christ's power over me.
2 Corinthians 12:9 GNBDK

So do not worry about tomorrow; it will have enough worries of its own. There is no need to add to the troubles each day brings.
Matthew 6:34 GNBDK

Reflection:
Whether it is a spiritual need or a material one, God not only knows what we need and but also what we want. If he then who takes care of the birds in the sky, will surely take care of you, for you are made in his image and likeness. God's grace will suffice at all times.

Prayer:
I pray that you be reliant at all times on the grace given by God our Father, through his word made flesh in Christ Jesus his son. May his Holy Spirit always be by your side to assist you.

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Live Well

"Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal."
Matthew 6:19‭-‬20 NIV

Reflection:
We are so caught with the world that often we think that we are going to be here forever. And this is seen in our actions, for in everything; we look at our beat interest. Know that you were made for all Eternity, and the earth is just a passing phase, how we live on earth will determine where we spend our Eternity.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to choose wisely and live the purpose He created you for. May you emulate Jesus Christ his son as you journey your stay in earth and may his Holy Spirit always lead you on. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

20 June 2019

Talk to God

"When you pray, do not use a lot of meaningless words, as the pagans do, who think that their gods will hear them because their prayers are long. Do not be like them. Your Father already knows what you need before you ask him."
Matthew 6:7‭-‬8 GNBDK

Reflection:
Prayer is a conversation with God, and conversations are very important for relationships. Many a times we don not pray simply beacause we find it to be a task, but know that God knows everything and in fact even teaches us how to pray; so the next time you find yourself unable to prayer, have a conversation with the Father in the words Jesus himself gave.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to be pure in heart as you find solace in talking to him. May Jesus be your source of perseverance and hope. And may his Holy Spirit give you the words to pray. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

19 June 2019

God knows everything

But when you pray, go to your room, close the door, and pray to your Father, who is unseen. And your Father, who sees what you do in private, will reward you.
Matthew 6:6 GNBDK

Reflection:
What you do on the outside has to be in sync with the inside. For the world may see the things you want to show, but know that we have God who can see the things hidden in the deepest recess of our hearts.

Prayer:
I prayer that God our Father gives you the grace to be yourself at all times. May you emulate Jesus Christ his son putting God and neighbour first and may his Holy Spirit guide and guard your heart. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Children of God

But now I tell you: love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,  so that you may become the children of your Father in heaven. For he makes his sun to shine on bad and good people alike, and gives rain to those who do good and to those who do evil.
Matthew 5:44‭-‬45 GNBDK

Reflection:
God does not distinguish us based on our doing. He made us all, he loves us all. And he wants us to be like him. When we pray for those that have done is wrong, we imitate Christ on the cross and in doing so we become children of God.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to pray for all those who have done you wrong, may Jesus Christ his son be your source of inspiration and strength. And may his Holy Spirit guide you to doing the will of God. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

17 June 2019

Gods ways our not our ways

"You have heard that it was said, ‘An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth.’ But now I tell you: do not take revenge on someone who wrongs you. If anyone slaps you on the right cheek, let him slap your left cheek too."
Matthew 5:38‭-‬39 GNBDK

Reflection:
The Christian worldview is almost contrarian to what we perceive as normal or regular world view. And this is beacuse the foundation laid by Christ is that of Love and that of the world is profit and gain. While love is patient, kind and not self seeking. The world teaches us and eye for and eye, tooth for tooth even if it means suffering and pain. The question is which side are you on?

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace and wisdom to choose the way and life established by Jesus Christ his son who is the truth and incarnate of our living God. May his Holy Spirit bless you with knowledge and understanding of God's ways. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

16 June 2019

Triune God

"All that belongs to the Father is mine. That is why I said the Spirit will receive from me what he will make known to you."
John 16:15 NIV

Reflection:
As Christians we worship a Triune God; The Father, Son and Spirit. Three person in one being.
God our Father created the world with his word who was with him since the beginning of time. This word was made flesh in Jesus Christ who is the true and full revealation of God. But Jesus couldn't be on earth all the time which is why He gives us his Holy Spirit to reveal to us all that He knows because all he knows comes from the Father. Know that God has been with us since the beginning of time and will always be there.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to accept the truth made known to us by his son Jesus Christ. And as we call on the name of Jesus immersing ourselves in his word may his Holy Spirit help us understand and reveal to us it's mysteries. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

The righteousness of Jesus

Christ was without sin, but for our sake God made him share our sin in order that in union with him we might share the righteousness of God.
2 Corinthians 5:21 GNBDK

Reflection:
Love was God's plan when He made man, for God's divine nature is love; and it is by this love that he does all things. While man chose disobedience Jesus chose obedience thus in the acceptance of Jesus we become one with him and that makes us a new creation. For then God sees in us the righteousness of his son.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to accept his son Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour renouncing the ways of the old. May you experience new light and life as your foretaste the abundance of God's love through his Holy Spirit. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Sin begins within

"You have heard that it was said, ‘Do not commit adultery.’  But now I tell you: anyone who looks at a woman and wants to possess her is guilty of committing adultery with her in his heart."
Matthew 5:27‭-‬28 GNBDK

Reflection:
Sin begins in the heart first, propagates in the mind and manifests in the body. And Jesus warns us about this so as to be aware of not only what happens on the outside but inside too.  Have you been struggling in a particular area? Identify the patterns, go to it root and offer it to Jesus in contemplative prayer with the word of God.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to be aware of everything that happens inside and outside of you. May you immerse yourself in the word of God made flesh in Jesus Christ his son. And may his Holy Spirit give you the wisdom and understanding to the ways of God. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Called to Righteousness within

For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven.
Matthew 5:20 NIV

Reflection:
Jesus addressed the Pharisees and Scribes as Hypocrites because; while they represented and taught a system that propagated righteousness, they themselves were far away from it. Every one can see you from the outside, but know that God can see you within. And He wants you to be righteous and clean inside out, for then ye shall  be pure in Heart and see God.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to be pure in heart as you put your faith and hope in Jesus - the way, the truth and the life and see the manifestation of the Glory of God. May his Holy Spirit always be by your side to guard and guide your heart. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Fulfilling Law

"Do not think that I have come to do away with the Law of Moses and the teachings of the prophets. I have not come to do away with them, but to make their teachings come true."
Matthew 5:17 GNBDK

Reflection:
Many a times we might tend to interpret Jesus is teaching for our own convenience. Buy know that the truth doesn't change and Jesus himself has declared he is not here to abolish the law, but to fulfill it.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to accept the teachings of scripture and the prophets, fulfilled by Jesus Christ his son. May his Holy Spirit give you the wisdom and understanding to God's word. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Proclaiming Christ

"Happy are you when people insult you and persecute you and tell all kinds of evil lies against you because you are my followers. Be happy and glad, for a great reward is kept for you in heaven. This is how the prophets who lived before you were persecuted."
Matthew 5:11‭-‬12 GNBDK

Reflection:
The sermon at mount was a teaching to the disciples; and while the some beatitudes refer to them and those; Jesus addresses this one in particular to the disciples because Jesus knew what was coming their way. Have you then ever felt that among your circle of influence some dislike you beacuse  you share the good news of Jesus or you find people keeping distance from your beacuse of your piety. Know that, the disciples went through the same and how happy you are for a great reward is kept for you for being a true disciple of Christ.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to boldly proclaim the good news of Salvation that is in Jesus Christ alone. May his Holy Spirit give the wisdom and the words as you share the gospel. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

You are a Child of God

But the LORD God called out to the man, “Where are you?”  He answered, “I heard you in the garden; I was afraid and hid from you, because I was naked.”  “Who told you that you were naked?” God asked. “Did you eat the fruit that I told you not to eat?”
Genesis 3:9‭-‬11 GNBDK

Reflection:
The devil will always try to put us in a state of despair using shame, guilt or fear, but as people of faith we ought to know that we have a living God who loves us more than we can ever imagine. He asked Adam, “Who told you that you were naked?” and he asks us; who told you that you are not my child? No matter what your past has been, no matter where you are right now; know that you are a child of God and He loves you unconditionally.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to understand his love for you. May you accept the hope that comes the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ his son. And may his Holy Spirit fill you with wisdom and knowledge. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

The gift of the Holy Spirit

They were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to talk in other languages, as the Spirit enabled them to speak.
Acts 2:4 GNBDK

Reflection:
There are some people who can speak in tongues, while some people can pray and heal the sick, and many others have different gifts. All these gifts come from the same Spirit to build the body of Christ i.e. his church. Know that each on one of us has the gift of the spirit as we received it in baptism. But it's only when we enable the Holy Spirit can we partake in these gifts.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace and understanding to his ways. May Jesus Christ his son be your source for inspiration and strength as you set out build the kingdom of God lead by his Holy Spirit. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones:)

God has a plan for you

When Peter saw him, he asked Jesus, “Lord, what about this man?”  Jesus answered him, “If I want him to live until I come, what is that to you? Follow me!”
John 21:21‭-‬22 GNBDK

Reflection:
Perhaps at some point in our life we have compared our life with another or wanted to be someone else. But in doing so we take a way what God wants for us. Know that God has a plan and purpose for your life based on how uniquely he has made you. For how he has made you, he has made no other.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to accept yourself as his wonderful creation. May the body and blood of his son  Jesus Christ make you whole and unite you with his Holy Spirit as it was always meant to be. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Jesus makes it all right

A third time Jesus said, “Simon son of John, do you love me?” Peter was sad because Jesus asked him the third time, “Do you love me?” so he said to him, “Lord, you know everything; you know that I love you!” Jesus said to him, “Take care of my sheep.”
John 21:17 GNBDK

Reflection:
When we look at a priest, preacher or someone who teaches us, we assume them to be perfect. But no one is perfect except God. Yes, those in authority have a greater calling and need to submit to Jesus for only he can make a wrong right. Just as he took away the shame of the three denials of Peter by asking him to profess his love.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to accept all those around you as your brothers and sisters in Jesus Christ. May all you desire is the saving of souls as you are lead by his Holy Spirit to build the kingdom of God. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

We are in Jesus Prayers

"I pray not only for them, but also for those who believe in me because of their message.  I pray that they may all be one. Father! May they be in us, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they be one, so that the world will believe that you sent me."
John 17:20‭-‬21 GNBDK

Reflection:
How do you feel when you know someone is praying for you? Comforting? Assured? Hopeful? And here Jesus is praying for his disciples and in turn us, who know him; How comforted and assured should we feel then, knowing that there is a pray offered by God in his human nature thus uniting us in divine nature. God’s love perhaps, is beyond human comprehension, but what is love has done through Jesus Christ is for all to see and be hopeful; that there is a God, who loves us just as we are.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to yield to his word as you submit your will following Jesus; the truth, the way and the life. And may his Holy Spirit help you understand God's will and way for your life. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Remain in Gods Word

"Now I commit you to God and to the word of his grace, which can build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified."
Acts 20:32 NIV

"Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth."
John 17:17 NIV

Reflection:
The word of God sanctifies us, just as Jesus said; however we ought to remain in his word and constantly renew our mind. We cannot accept his word without putting it into practice, doing so puts a in state of congnitive dissonance. Which is how most of us live; and then fail to understand God’s ways. Know that we haven’t come on earth on our own accord, God has a plan and a purpose. And it is best that we accept and remain in his word.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to accept his word made flesh in Jesus Christ his son. As you do so may your life be sanctified as you walk in God's ways. And may his Holy Spirit always be by your side to lead and guide you. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Being Obedient to God

And now, in obedience to the Holy Spirit I am going to Jerusalem, not knowing what will happen to me there. But I reckon my own life to be worth nothing to me; I only want to complete my mission and finish the work that the Lord Jesus gave me to do, which is to declare the Good News about the grace of God.
Acts 20:22‭, 24 GNBDK

Reflection:
The beauty about God is that; He knows us before we came into being and he knows where will spend our eternity. The space in between is a choice given to us in the form of free will and what we choose will determine, how it all pans out. We are sinners, but we have a saviour in Jesus Christ, if we then, willingly submit our will to his and be obedient to his spirit. We will see the glory of God.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to submit your will to his just like Jesus his son did. May you walk in the truth and the light lead by his Holy Spirit. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Jesus has overcome

“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
John 16:33 NIV

Reflection:
The word of God is an assurance to us; that God is with us at all times. In moments of joy or sadness know that God Jesus understands you because he has been through all the emotions you have gone through. And if Jesus has overcome every temptations,so can we by being united with him.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to be united with his son Jesus as you take leads and strides in your everyday life. May his Holy Spirit assure you of God's presence in your life at all times. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Called to be a Witness

I ask the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, to give you the Spirit, who will make you wise and reveal God to you, so that you will know him. I ask that your minds may be opened to see his light, so that you will know what is the hope to which he has called you, how rich are the wonderful blessings he promises his people.
Ephesians 1:17‭-‬18 GNBDK

You are witnesses of these things.
Luke 24:48 GNBDK

Reflection:
There are eyes and then there are eyes of faith. And as Christians we are called by our faith and not by sight. Priests, preachers, religious and the converted sinners; all see the hope they have been called in Christ Jesus and to which there bear witness. Are we then only inheriting our faith or can we see the promised hope and bear witness to it?

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father brings to fruition the plans he has for your life as you accept his son Jesus as your Lord and Saviour. And may his Holy Spirit reveal to you the hope and joy that leads you to be a witness. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

God is by our side

I am telling you the truth: you will cry and weep, but the world will be glad; you will be sad, but your sadness will turn into gladness.  When a woman is about to give birth, she is sad because her hour of suffering has come; but when the baby is born, she forgets her suffering, because she is happy that a baby has been born into the world.
John 16:20‭-‬21 GNBDK

Reflection:
It is in moments of pain and suffering we think that God is not with us. But contrary to what we think God is the closest. Because it is our hour and everything changes for good. Look back at life changing moments to understand and see God's hand in drawing you close to his plan for your life.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to understand his ways and be assured of his presence through his word made flesh in Jesus Christ his son. And may his Holy Spirit always be with you to lead and guide you. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

We need thee Holy Spirit

Some of his disciples asked among themselves, “What does this mean? He tells us that in a little while we will not see him, and then a little while later we will see him; and he also says, ‘It is because I am going to the Father.’ What does this ‘a little while’ mean? We don't know what he is talking about!”
John 16:17‭-‬18 GNBDK

Reflection:
Jesus is the word of God and everything He said came from God. Now literally when he spoke even the disciples didn't understand what he said; how then can we with all our human fragility can comprehend his word? We need the Holy Spirit to help us understand the truth. For once we know the Truth, the truth shall set us free.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to accept his word made flesh in Jesus Christ his son and may his Holy Spirit bless you with wisdom, knowledge and understanding. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones:)

Everything comes from God

All that my Father has is mine; that is why I said that the Spirit will take what I give him and tell it to you.
John 16:15 GNBDK

Reflection:
Three person in one; consubstantial and not made. The concept of God may be a bit overwhelming to comprehend. Yet in all its simplicity God gives us his word and his Spirit to understand things that are beyond the nature of this world. Are we then in good stead to the offering?

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to seek the truth that comes from every word of his. May Jesus be your source of strength and determination. And may his Holy Spirit always lead you on.

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

All for Christ

“Do not try to stop him,” Jesus told them, “because no one who performs a miracle in my name will be able soon afterward to say evil things about me. For whoever is not against us is for us.”
Mark 9:39‭-‬40 GNBDK

Reflection:
Salvation is a gift from God and it comes only through Jesus, without Jesus, there is no salvation. And everyone in Christ is for Christ. We ought to respect the other, for judgment belongs to God alone.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to be generous in your heart as you share Christ with others. May his Holy Spirit help you with words and wisdom. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

We have a Helper 24×7

"The Helper will come — the Spirit, who reveals the truth about God and who comes from the Father. I will send him to you from the Father, and he will speak about me."
John 15:26 GNBDK

Reflection:
Often in times of need we turn to tangible things, because as humans for us; seeing is believing. In giving us his Holy Spirit, God our Father has given us a helper who at all times is there for our assistance. And if we turn to him at all times, he will show us ways that will never put us in need for we will be walking in God's ways, doing his will.

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Teaching with Authority

The Holy Spirit and we have agreed not to put any other burden on you besides these necessary rules:
Acts 15:28 GNBDK

Reflection:
Rules are necessary as they established a fair ground. God doesn't give us rules that deters the goodness of life, in fact it is Jesus brings us the abundant the life. It all depends on our choices. The authority of teaching comes from the Holy Spirit and is taught by her Church. Are you in accordance?

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to be honest with yourself and accept the teaching of Jesus his son that comes to you as you dwell in God's word. And may his Holy Spirit guard and guide your heart. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Listening to the Holy Spirit

They travelled through the region of Phrygia and Galatia because the Holy Spirit did not let them preach the message in the province of Asia. When they reached the border of Mysia, they tried to go into the province of Bithynia, but the Spirit of Jesus did not allow them.
Acts 16:6‭-‬7 GNBDK

Reflection:
We have to be obedient to God at all times. We may have good intentions and want to do many a things, but we must always be discerning all our plans, intentions and actions with God. For Jesus himself taught us to pray, 'your will be done; on earth as it is in heaven'.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to aware at all times of his will. May you be obedient in heart and mind to his will just like Jesus and may you be always lead by his Holy Spirit. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

God has a plan for you

You did not choose me; I chose you and appointed you to go and bear much fruit, the kind of fruit that endures. And so the Father will give you whatever you ask of him in my name.
John 15:16 GNBDK

Reflection:
While you may think that everything in your life is serendipitous. The truth is that God is behind the scene. While you do have a free will to make choices; know that you were chosen before you were born, your name is carved in the hands of God. And He has a plan for your life. All you have to do, is willingly submit.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to willingly submit to his will just like Jesus his son did. And as you do so may you see the fruition of the mighty plans of God for you and your loved ones. May his Holy Spirit always help you discern the will and voice of God. Amen

Remain in the Word

“I am the vine, and you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will bear much fruit; for you can do nothing without me.”
John 15:5 GNBDK

Reflection:
The difference of doing things is the matter of will; ours or God's. And to do his will, we need his grace and strength. Because on our own we can do nothing to bear fruit for his kingdom. However, we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us; for his grace is sufficient.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to remain in his word, made flesh in Christ Jesus his son. And may his Holy Spirit teach you the ways of God. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Trusting God at all times

They strengthened the believers and encouraged them to remain true to the faith. “We must pass through many troubles to enter the Kingdom of God,” they taught.
Acts 14:22 GNBDK

“Peace is what I leave with you; it is my own peace that I give you. I do not give it as the world does. Do not be worried and upset; do not be afraid.”
John 14:27 GNBDK

Reflection:
While we may often question difficult times, we ought to know that perhaps it is for our own good as those times bring us closer to God. It helps us let go of things that are earthly and no matter what our circumstance is; we have the assurance of God's peace that no one can understand nor take away.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to patient and to persevere in your faith no matter the external situation. May Jesus Christ his son be your source of hope, joy and peace. And may his Holy Spirit assist you in all your ways. Amen

The Holy Spirit

The Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you everything and make you remember all that I have told you.
John 14:26 GNBDK

The Bible is an infallible book, and therefore needs an infallible interpreter to help us understand the word of God. Everytime you read the word, ask the Holy Spirit to reveal to you the mysteries and the truth. And you will be astonished to what unfolds.

Prayer:
I pray that God the Father gives you the grace to seek his word, made flesh in Christ Jesus his son and may his Holy Spirit help you understand his Holy word. Amen

Called to Love

"And now I give you a new commandment: love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.  If you have love for one another, then everyone will know that you are my disciples."
John 13:34‭-‬35 GNBDK

Reflection:
We all pride in calling ourselves Christians, for we place our identity in Christ. But do we adhere to his command? Love one another as I have loved you. said Jesus. Can we then love our family, friends and even those who hurt us? In doing so we will be obedient to Christ and the world then will know as Christian; by our love.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to be loving just like Jesus his son. So that through you, those around you can experience the love of God. And may his Holy Spirit be by your side. Amen

Make Jesus your source of all

Do you not believe, Philip, that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words that I have spoken to you,” Jesus said to his disciples, “do not come from me. The Father, who remains in me, does his own work. Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me. If not, believe because of the things I do.
John 14:10‭-‬11 GNBDK

Reflection:
For everything there has to be a source; and from the source comes the resource. Jesus did many a things because his source was the Father, who is the source of all goodness and love. Therefore whatever Jesus did was good and out of love. We too can do the same when we make Jesus our source.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to make Jesus your foundation and source of all that you do. And may his Holy Spirit help you in all your endeavours. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Keep the Faith

"Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me."
John 14:1 NIV

Reflection:
There is popular hymn, in which a lines goes as; Jesus knows our every weakness... Take it to the Lord in prayer. And how true is that. How often we are worried and thinking about what can go wrong rather the right God has done in our lives?  Circumstances and situations are only temporary, do not let your hearts be troubled by them.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to trust in his son Jesus. Knowing that he is in control of everything for he is your maker and saviour. May his Holy Spirit always help you with matters of faith. Amen

A call to discern

"I am telling you the truth: slaves are never greater than their master, and messengers are never greater than the one who sent them. I am telling you the truth: whoever receives anyone I send receives me also; and whoever receives me receives him who sent me."
John 13:16‭, ‬20 GNBDK

Reflection:
God can speak to us through many a ways and one of that is through people who are his instruments. As his people we ought to know that it is not the instrument that will fix you, but the word. So don't reject the word on account of the instrument. And to those who are his instruments, deliver only the word.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to accept his word made flesh in Christ Jesus his son and humbly receive it, not withstanding the instrument it comes from. And may his Holy Spirit help you discern God's ways. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

The right to choose

"If anyone hears my message and does not obey it, I will not judge him. I came, not to judge the world, but to save it.  Those who reject me and do not accept my message have one who will judge them. The words I have spoken will be their judge on the last day!"
John 12:47‭-‬48 GNBDK

Reflection:
If there is anyone who respects your freedom to choose; it is God for now only He has given us a free will but also assures us that he will not condemn us. All choices in life come with their consequence. Therefore we have to be careful and wise when we choose. For our choice will have its own consequence.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to make the right choice in choosing his son Jesus through whom you may have eternal life. May his Holy Spirit guard and guide your heart in all your decision making. Amen

Command from Jesus

"I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete. This, then, is what I command you: love one another."
John 15:11‭, ‬17 GNBDK

Reflection:
Jesus doesn't request or tell us, he commands us to Love one another. And it is only when we are in obedience to him that his joy will be in us and that will complete our joy. What we chase in this world is only temporary, but in Jesus is found eternity.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to be obedient to his son Jesus by loving one another. May his Holy Spirit give you the grace and peace as you fulfill his command. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Salvation is for all

Then I remembered what the Lord had said: ‘John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.’  It is clear that God gave those Gentiles the same gift that he gave us when we believed in the Lord Jesus Christ; who was I, then, to try to stop God!”
Acts 11:16‭-‬17 GNBDK

Reflection:
Salvation is for all, and is a free gift from God. However it is in accepting Jesus as our Lord and Saviour that we will be saved. Do not take for granted that you will be saved; for only those who seek the will of God for their life will gain eternal life.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives grace to be open to his word made flesh Jesus Christ his son. As you seek his will for your life may his Holy Spirit bless you with fruits and gifts enabling you to do his will. Amen

Listen to his Voice

"My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me."
John 10:27 GNBDK

Reflection:
When you listen, you are paying attention to what is being said; And most times Jesus is speaking to us, but the point is are we even aware, let alone paying attention. Deep within us, is our conscience and if you are attentive to it you will hear it speak to you. If your not the voice will drown out. Those who are attuned to his voice, listen and obey.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to listen to his son Jesus as he directs you path with  his truth, light and love. And may his Holy Spirit help you see clearly the ways of God. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Understanding Gods Word and Ways

Because of this, many of Jesus' followers turned back and would not go with him any more. So he asked the twelve disciples, “And you — would you also like to leave?” Simon Peter answered him, “Lord, to whom would we go? You have the words that give eternal life.
John 6:66‭-‬68 GNBDK

Reflection:
We cannot interpret God's word on our own, we need his Holy Spirit to do the same for us. And while his teaching can be challenging, we need his grace to understand and follow them. But his grace will only work when we in all humility accept our weaknesses. Perhaps this is what childlike faith is; in knowing that through him and in him is Eternal life.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to be humble and accepting of all your weaknesses. As you do so may you experience the innate joy, grace and peace of Jesus Christ, the true and living God. And may his Holy Spirit always help you understand God's word and ways. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

The most perfect form of worship

Jesus said to them, “I am telling you the truth: if you do not eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you will not have life in yourselves. Those who eat my flesh and drink my blood have eternal life, and I will raise them to life on the last day.  For my flesh is the real food; my blood is the real drink.
John 6:53‭-‬55 GNBDK

Reflection:
As difficult as it sounds, this teaching is being fulfilled today from the rising of the sun to its setting. Each hour the Eucharistic is being celebrated world over. And it is in this Eucharistic that we eat his body and drink his blood. And do it in rememberance of him just as New told his disciples to do. How happy are we who are called to this celebration.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to understand the most important and highest form of worship, the Holy Eucharist. Which has been constituted by his son Jesus Christ so that through it we can become one body and one flesh as we receive Holy Communion. May his Holy Spirit reveal to you the joys of this union. Amen

Learn from God

The prophets wrote, ‘Everyone will be taught by God.’ Anyone who hears the Father and learns from him comes to me.
John 6:45 GNBDK

Reflection:
Sometime back Pope Francis remarked that, 'If we only treat our Bibles they way we treat our phones life would be so much richer'. And how true is that, the Bible is the word of the living God. It is alive and active waiting do it's bit. But are we doing ours? Do you really want to listen and learn from God? Then all you to do is immerse yourself in his word.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to know him more each day. As you dwell in the goodness of his word made flesh in Christ Jesus his son may you be filled with a new hope and everlasting peace and joy. And may his Holy Spirit help you understand God's word. Amen

Jesus will never turn you away

Everyone whom my Father gives me will come to me. I will never turn away anyone who comes to me, because I have come down from heaven to do not my own will but the will of him who sent me.
John 6:37‭-‬38 GNBDK

Reflection:
Jesus will never turn you away, if you humbly approach him. No matter what your past has been or present is like. Jesus will never ever turn you away. For this is the will of the Father, that you who are made in the image and likeness of God, be saved and have eternal life.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to approach his son Jesus Christ without any doubts or hesitation as you seek to renew your life. May his Holy Spirit teach you the ways of God. Amen

The Bread of Life is Jesus

“I am the bread of life,” Jesus told them. “Those who come to me will never be hungry; those who believe in me will never be thirsty.”
John 6:35 GNBDK

Reflection:
Man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from God and Jesus is the word made flesh. Happy are those who are called to the supper of lamb.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to humbly receive his word made flesh in Christ Jesus his son. As you are filled with the Bread of life may his Holy Spirit assist you to do the  works for the greater glory of God. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

In Jesus is Eternal Life

Jesus answered, “I am telling you the truth: you are looking for me because you ate the bread and had all you wanted, not because you understood my miracles. Do not work for food that goes bad; instead, work for the food that lasts for eternal life. This is the food which the Son of Man will give you, because God, the Father, has put his mark of approval on him.”
John 6:26‭-‬27 GNBDK

Reflection:
The material blessings we have are gift from God, and often times we tend to keep are focus on the blessing rather then the blesser. Our focus should and has to be Jesus, for through him and in him is eternal life. And everything else is temporary.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to stay focused on his will and not get distracted by worldly matters. May Jesus be your source of strength and wisdom and may his Holy Spirit always be by your side. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

A Personal Encounter

A third time Jesus said, “Simon son of John, do you love me?” Peter was sad because Jesus asked him the third time, “Do you love me?” so he said to him, “Lord, you know everything; you know that I love you!” Jesus said to him, “Take care of my sheep.”
John 21:17 GNBDK

Reflection:
Three times Jesus asked Peter the same question, in doing so atoned his denials and gives Peter a responsibility. This personal encounter with Jesus was not just essential for Peter but imperative and like wise it is for us, for we cannot share what we don't have. But when we encounter God, we do all things through his grace and for his greater glory.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to personally encounter him through his son Jesus Christ as you submit to him wholly. May his Holy Spirit teach you with wisdom, love and understanding the truth about God. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Jesus loves you

“Don't be afraid,” Jesus told them, “it is I!”
John 6:20 GNBDK

Reflection:
The times you feel most unworthy of approaching God, the times you feel distant from God, the times where the storms into your life are the most violent in your life. Know that Jesus is close beside you saying you; “Don't be afraid, it is I” and nothing in this world will change his love for you.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to approach him without hesitation as you accept Jesus his son as you Lord and Saviour. And may his Holy Spirit always be your source of  comfort and lead you to his ways. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Ask in the name of Jesus

And I will do whatever you ask for in my name, so that the Father's glory will be shown through the Son. If you ask me  for anything in my name, I will do it.
John 14:13‭-‬14

Reflection:
We to ask need to ask ourselves then when we ask Jesus for something, does it bring glory to the God, or does it simply satiate our desires? God knows what you need even before you ask; therefore when you ask, ask in Jesus name and in faith knowing that God will give you what's best for you. And when you receive, know that it is for the greater Glory of God.

Called to Chose Well

The Father loves his Son and has put everything in his power. Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever disobeys the Son will not have life, but will remain under God's punishment.
John 3:35‭-‬36 GNBDK

Reflection:
The beauty about God is He will never enforce anything on you. Submit your will to God in humble obedience and you will experience the grace of God to do all things. Or you can do as you please and whatever you do is entirely your choice. But know that every choice you make will have its consequence.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to be obedient to his word made flesh in Christ Jesus his son. And may his Holy Spirit teach you the ways of God. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Accepting Jesus

For God did not send his Son into the world to be its judge, but to be its saviour.
John 3:17 GNBDK

Reflection:
Jesus came to save the world and he did so as he took upon our sins and died. But God raised him up from the dead, so that through him we can have life. However, it is only in our acceptance and  acknowledgement that Jesus is Lord and Savior; that we will be saved.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to understand that choices you make. May you choose and accept his son Jesus as your Lord and Savior. And may his Holy Spirit bless you with wisdom and knowledge. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Led by the Spirit

"The wind blows wherever it wishes; you hear the sound it makes, but you do not know where it comes from or where it is going. It is like that with everyone who is born of the Spirit."
John 3:8 GNBDK

Reflection:
When you are born of the spirit, you walk a different path and while the world may view it as indifferent. Know that you are on the right path for God's ways are not our ways nor our our thoughts his thoughts.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to persevere in the goodness that comes from Jesus Christ his son. May all that you do be for the greater Glory of God. And may his Holy Spirit be with you in all your endeavours. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Be Born Again

Jesus answered, “I am telling you the truth: no one can see the Kingdom of God without being born again.”
John 3:3 GNBDK

Reflection:
Peter and the apostles were born again on Pentecost. So was Paul when he was on the road to Damascus. We often talk about conversions of religion, but in reality we all are called to a conversion of our hearts, a conversion from our ways to God's ways and then we will be truly born again.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to let go of the old as you embrace a new life in Jesus Christ his son. And may his Holy Spirit teach you the ways of God. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Jesus is coming again

Write, then, the things you see, both the things that are now and the things that will happen afterwards.
Revelation 1:19 GNBDK

Reflection:
Every prophecy made in the old testament was fulfilled in the coming of Jesus Christ. He came suffered and died, but he rose again from dead and as it has been revealed to us; He is coming again, this time as judge of the living and the dead. Are we even paying heed to this thought?

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to be prepare your heart to welcome Jesus Christ his son. May you detach yourself from all earthly gain knowing that eternal life is with God and my his Holy Spirit bless you with wisdom, knowledge and understanding of his word. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Sharing the Hope of Christ

But Peter and John answered them, “You yourselves judge which is right in God's sight — to obey you or to obey God. For we cannot stop speaking of what we ourselves have seen and heard.”
Acts 4:19‭-‬20 GNBDK

He said to them, "Go throughout the whole world and preach the gospel to the whole human race."
Mark 16:15 GNBDK

Reflection:
Each one of us has had some kind of Godly experience. A miracle of healing, find something that is lost, breakthroughs or even deliverance. But how many of us acknowledge God's working in our lives? The good news was always meant to be shared, let's us then do what is right in the eyes of God as we share the hope of Jesus Christ.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to share with those around you the hope and joy of Jesus Christ his son, knowing that in him is a saviour and friend. And may his Holy Spirit be with you at all times. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Time to Turn Around

Jesus asked them, “Young men, haven't you caught anything?” “Not a thing,” they answered. He said to them, “Throw your net out on the right side of the boat, and you will catch some.” So they threw the net out and could not pull it back in, because they had caught so many fish.
John 21:5‭-‬6 GNBDK

Reflection:
How many times have you felt that all your efforts and actions not yielding any fruit? Perhaps it's time you turned around and listened to what Jesus wants to tell you, just as his disciples did.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to listen to the voice of his son Jesus. May you be obedient to his word as you are led by his Holy Spirit. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

25 April 2019

All Power and Glory to God

Humble yourselves, then, under God's mighty hand, so that he will lift you up in his own good time. And after you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who calls you to share his eternal glory in union with Christ, will himself perfect you and give you firmness, strength, and a sure foundation. To him be the power for ever! Amen.
1 Peter 5:6‭, ‬10‭-‬11 GNBDK

Reflection:
Power can only be with one and it's best that we stop thinking of ourselves as powerful, for we are just mortals. Peter denied Jesus, yet that didn't change Jesus's love for him, instead Jesus  prayed for him. Paul had a thorn in his flesh, yet was grateful to God for grace to endure it. Let us then, acknowledge all our weaknesses to our all knowing, all loving and all powerful God and his grace will suffice.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to humble and accepting of all your weaknesses. May Jesus Christ his son be your hope, help and source of grace. And may the presence of his Holy Spirit in your life be a constant reminder of God's unconditional love for you. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

In the Name of Jesus

But Peter said to him, “I have no money at all, but I give you what I have: in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth I order you to get up and walk!”
Acts 3:6 GNBDK

Reflection:
You can have all the money in the world and yet be with longing. But with Jesus you are content, for what he gives; no one can give nor take away. Are you looking for a miracle? Ask it in faith, in the name of Jesus and see for yourself.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to be thankful in every circumstance knowing that Jesus is by your side at all times. May his Holy Spirit comfort you in times of distress and lead you to gratitude in times of joy. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

23 April 2019

It is Jesus!

Then she turned round and saw Jesus standing there; but she did not know that it was Jesus.
John 20:14 GNBDK

Reflection:
How many times has the Lord worked in our lives and yet we fail to see his mighty hand in it all. Infact all we do is credit ourselves, our intelligence, our abilities. Yes all these are a gift from God, but know that you are Gods creation and our made in his image and likeness. Therefore, know that, it is his spirit that works through you.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to see his hand in all things as constant calling to you. May you be like Jesus attentive and submissive to the will of God and may his Holy Spirit be with you in all your endeavours. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

22 April 2019

Peace be with you

Suddenly Jesus met them and said, “Peace be with you.” They came up to him, took hold of his feet, and worshipped him. “Do not be afraid,” Jesus said to them. “Go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee, and there they will see me.”
Matthew 28:9‭-‬10 GNBDK

Reflection:
While the world may give you things on the outside, it's takes away a lot from within, perhaps that is why the first greeting that Jesus put out is "Peace be with you", and his peace no one can give nor take away. No matter what your circumstance is, or where you are at this point in life. Do not be afraid, assures Jesus.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you his grace and peace, which is far beyond human understanding. May it keep your hearts and minds safe in union with Christ Jesus his son and may his Holy Spirit always lead you on. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

An Easter People

You have been raised to life with Christ, so set your hearts on the things that are in heaven, where Christ sits on his throne at the right-hand side of God. Keep your minds fixed on things there, not on things here on earth.
Colossians 3:1‭-‬2 GNBDK

Reflection:
Christ came not just to die on a  cross, but to rise and raise us up too. For in our baptism we share in his death and resurrection. Life on earth is temporary, everything we do here will remain here. That said, life is gift from God and what we do with our lives becomes our gift to God. Therefore, whatever we do, let it be for the Glory of God.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to set your heart on his kingdom. May you be like Jesus relentlessly working for the Glory of God and may his Holy Spirit be with you in all your endeavours. Amen

Wishing you and your loved ones a very Happy Easter!! God Bless you all :)

Keep Calm: Its Holy Saturday

There was a garden in the place where Jesus had been put to death, and in it there was a new tomb where no one had ever been buried. Since it was the day before the Sabbath and because the tomb was close by, they placed Jesus' body there.
John 19:41‭-‬42 GNBDK

Reflection:
While there was destruction on the outside, there was calm within. As Jesus lays to rest, the spirit is at work to renew, rebuild and resurrect that which has been since the beginning of time. Just recently the world watched the Notre Dame being gutted in flames and thought this is its end. But God's ways are not our ways and just as the cross shone standing tall and firm, so will the God's church stand tall and firm in its faith.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to sustain your faith through every circumstance no matter what happens on the outside. Like Jesus may you allow his Holy Spirit to renew and  rebuild you into a new person of faith and love. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

19 April 2019

Obedient to the Father

But even though he was God's Son, he learnt through his sufferings to be obedient. When he was made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all those who obey him.
Hebrews 5:8‭-‬9 GNBDK

Reflection:
Perhaps the most difficult thing to do is to negate our ego. Because as humans everything we do has to be tangible and bring a sense pride. But Jesus, divine yet fully human, never gave into his ego and pride, but humbly accepted death, even on a cross.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to always be humble and accept his will for your life. May Jesus be your source of inspiration and strength to carry your cross and may his Holy Spirit comfort you in the knowledge of God. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

18 April 2019

Called to Humility

I, your Lord and Teacher, have just washed your feet. You, then, should wash one another's feet.
John 13:14 GNBDK

Reflection:
Just recently Pope Francis did what no other world leader would even think of doing, he kissed the feet of leader who can negotiate peace within a region. 2000 years ago Jesus set an example in humility, are we then as Christians following his teaching or do we give in to our ego and pride?

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace always to be humble know that Jesus taught us the best lesson in humility. May his Holy Spirit always guide and guard your ways. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

17 April 2019

God's way

But their insults cannot hurt me because the Sovereign LORD gives me help. I brace myself to endure them. I know that I will not be disgraced...
Isaiah 50:7 GNBDK

Reflection:
The ideologies of this world is far away from that of God. For what we seek here on here is only temporary. But when you know and understand that life is for eternity, then you will no longer chase what's impresses yourself and other, but will do what is important to God.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to discern what He wills for you so that you can follow suit of Jesus Christ his son. May his Holy Spirit always guide and guard you. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

15 April 2019

Acknowledge God's Goodness

Six days before the Passover, Jesus went to Bethany, the home of Lazarus, the man he had raised from death. They prepared a dinner for him there, which Martha helped to serve; Lazarus was one of those who were sitting at the table with Jesus.
John 12:1‭-‬2 GNBDK

Reflection:
God will always do good in our lives. And it is right to give him thanks and praise for all that He does. For in doing so we acknowledge our gratitude to God's goodness and in turn set a ripple in motion.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to always acknowledge the goodness you receive. May your heart always reach out to those in need as you walk in the ways of Jesus and may his Holy Spirit always lead you on. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

14 April 2019

God is with us at all times

“Simon, Simon! Listen! Satan has received permission to test all of you, to separate the good from the bad, as a farmer separates the wheat from the chaff. But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith will not fail. And when you turn back to me, you must strengthen your brothers.”
Luke 22:31‭-‬32 GNBDK

Reflection:
Trials and tribulations is not a sign of God's absence in one's life. In fact it's even more an assurance that God is right by your side praying for you, that your faith may remain strong. For Satan is constantly on the prowl to hunt those who are close to God.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to bear every trail and tribulations that come your way. May Jesus Christ his son be your source of strength, hope and renewed faith. And may his Holy Spirit always be by your side. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

God will keep his promise

The LORD is our God; his commands are for all the world.  He will keep his covenant for ever, his promises for a thousand generations.
Psalms 105:7‭-‬8 GNBDK

Reflection:
When times are good we are assured of God's goodness, but in difficult circumstances we think that God has gone away. But know that God will never leave you, nor forsake. He is at all times by your side. For this is his convenant made to us through Jesus Christ his son.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to trust in his word at all times, especially in difficult times knowing that your source and strength comes from Jesus his son. And may you always be comforted by his Holy Spirit. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

10 April 2019

Free in the word

So Jesus said to those who believed in him, “If you obey my teaching, you are really my disciples;  you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
John 8:31‭-‬32 GNBDK

Reflections:
When you are in the word, the word remains in you and you know the word. The world then doesn't define your will and doing, but the word of God does. Like Jesus you will willingly submit to the will of God for you are free from the slavery of this world.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to know his word made flesh in Christ Jesus his son. May his Holy Spirit bless you with wisdom and understanding in knowing the ways of God.

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

09 April 2019

Acknowledge your Sin

Jesus answered, “You belong to this world here below, but I come from above. You are from this world, but I am not from this world. That is why I told you that you will die in your sins. And you will die in your sins if you do not believe that ‘I Am Who I Am’.”
John 8:23‭-‬24 GNBDK

Reflection:
We are all sinners, irrespective of our acknowledgement of being one. The only way to the forgiveness of our sins is Jesus. Therefore we ought humbly acknowledge our sin as we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to acknowledge your sin as you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour. And may you always be led by his Holy Spirit. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

The right to Judgement

He straightened himself up and said to her, “Where are they? Is there no one left to condemn you?” “No one, sir,” she answered. “Well, then,” Jesus said, “I do not condemn you either. Go, but do not sin again.”
John 8:10‭-‬11 GNBDK

Reflection:
We can be quick to judge others, but we ought to know and remember, that only Jesus can do so, for the Father has entrusted him the right to do it. But also know that Jesus didn't come to condemn our sins, but to save us.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to accept his son Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour as he cleanses you from all your sins and may you always be lead by his Holy Spirit. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones:)

06 April 2019

Vengeance belongs to God

Then I prayed, “Almighty LORD , you are a just judge; you test people's thoughts and feelings. I have placed my cause in your hands; so let me watch you take revenge on these people.”
Jeremiah 11:20 GNBDK

Reflection:
There are times when we go through unjust situations, but rather than retaliating we are called to be submissive to God for vengeance belongs to him. And our God is a just God because only he can weigh ones thoughts and intentions. And no matter what, justice will always prevail.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to always be submissive to him just like Jesus his son. And may his Holy Spirit bless and protect you at all times. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones:)

05 April 2019

A Call to Goodness

That is how evil people think, but they are wrong. They are blinded by their own wickedness. They have never known God's secrets, never hoped for the rewards of a holy and blameless life.
Wisdom 2:21‭-‬22 GNBDK

Reflection:
It's more easier to dwell of the negatives rather than positives. Getting easily angered, harbouring resentment, vindictive thinking come easily to the human mind rather promoting peace, loving those around you and making it better for the other. But we ought to know that God's ways are not those of human ones, and sooner or later we will stand in front of God giving him an account of the ways we've pursued.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to walk his ways of love, peace and justice. May Jesus Christ his son be your source of strength and consolation. And may his Holy Spirit lead you to Holiness. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones:)

04 April 2019

Understanding God

"If you had really believed Moses, you would have believed me, because he wrote about me. But since you do not believe what he wrote, how can you believe what I say?"
John 5:46‭-‬47 GNBDK

Reflection:
Sometimes we fail to see the obvious; the Israelites did that in the land of Horeb, the Jews during the time of Jesus. And today we too are following suit. For even thou, we know the word of God yet, we choose to do our own will. How then will we stand before God at the end of our journey?

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to seek the truth about all the doubts you have in your mind. May Jesus lead you in his way, under his light to the ultimate truth in himself, setting you free. And may his Holy Spirit bless you with wisdom and love. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones:)

03 April 2019

Judgement is inevitable

Just as the Father is himself the source of life, in the same way he has made his Son to be the source of life. And he has given the Son the right to judge, because he is the Son of Man.
John 5:26‭-‬27 GNBDK

Reflection:
We all have been given life as a gift from God, but what we make of this life, is our gift to God. And sooner or later there will come a time, when we will be before the judge. What then will you present?

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to be true to your calling as you do good in the name of his son Jesus Christ. And may his Holy Spirit be with you in all your endeavours. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones:)

Sickness and Sin

Afterwards, Jesus found him in the Temple and said, “Listen, you are well now; so stop sinning or something worse may happen to you.
John 5:14 GNBDK

Reflection:
Sin takes us away from God and His protection leaving our mortal bodies open to sickness and disease. Suppressing sin can be fatal and Jesus warns us through this man; that sin can do worse things to our health. Therefore walking in the light of God is the best preventive health care.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to be free all all your sinful ways and lead happy and healthy life in Christ Jesus his son. May his Holy Spirit be by your side at all times. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones:)

01 April 2019

Believe in the Word

Jesus said to him, “Go, your son will live!” The man believed Jesus' words and went.
John 4:50 GNBDK

Reflection:
God's word is so powerful, that he only has to say to word and it us done. But are we believing of God's word or is it mere text to us. Every single word in the Bible is the word of God. For In the beginning the Word already existed; the Word was with God, and the Word was God. Jn 1:1 Therefore, believe.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to trust each and every word he has made through Jesus Christ his son. Let your hearts and mind be renewed daily as you dwell in his word and  may his Holy Spirit help you discern and interpret the word of God. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones:)

Made New in Christ

Anyone who is joined to Christ is a new being; the old is gone, the new has come.
2 Corinthians 5:17 GNBDK

Reflection:
No matter what your past has been, when you are reconciled with Christ, you start a new. For we were made out of God's love and we are saved by his love too.

To Love God

I want your constant love, not your animal sacrifices. I would rather have my people know me than burn offerings to me.
Hosea 6:6 GNBDK

Reflection:
If your child never loved you in return, but only obeyed you out of fear. What would you do as a parent? And what if you child constantly did wrong, would your love change for your child? Will you give up and love another or would you do all that you can so that your child can you love you back, just the way you do... Perhaps that is what God wants from us; to love him the way He loves us.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to know him and love him just as He loves you. May Jesus Christ his son be your inspiration and strength and may his Holy Spirit teach you the ways of God. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones:)

Loving God and Neighbour

“The most important one,” answered Jesus, “is this: ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.  Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’  The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’  There is no commandment greater than these.”
Mark 12:29‭-‬31 NIV

Reflection:
We cannot love God without serving and caring for our neighbour. Both are intertwined, for when we truly know God, we know his ways; and reach out to those made in his image and likeness. The second part is we cannot love and serve our neighbour alone, for to do so we require strength and grace, while we may have the strength, grace is a gift from God.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to know, love and serve him and reach out to your neighbour. May you emulate Jesus in all his ways and may you be led by his Holy Spirit. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones:)
