No One Knows the Time

So then, you also must always be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you are not expecting him.
Matthew 24:44 GNB

Reflection:
While the vain enjoy their vanity, do not envy their enjoyment. For when the time comes, the price will be dear. And no one knows the time.

Prayer:
God our Father, Thank you for keeping me in good stead and close to you, may I always acknowledge this time of my life to the merits of your Son Jesus Christ, my Lord and Saviour. And may your  Holy Spirit keep me aware of your presence at all times. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Your Friend in Christ

We encouraged you, we comforted you, and we kept urging you to live the kind of life that pleases God, who calls you to share in his own Kingdom and glory.
1 Thessalonians 2:12 GNB

Reflection:
God reaches out to us in different ways and one of them is through his people, even pondered on the fact that no mater you are you will at least have one friend/acquaintance who will nudge you closer to God. Say a prayer for that person today.

Prayer:
God Our Father, Thank you for sending your messenger in my life.  May I pay heed to thy word so that it is at work in me through the merits of Jesus your son. And may your Holy Spirit help me discern the truth. Amen

God will protect your heart

Herod was afraid of John because he knew that John was a good and holy man, and so he kept him safe. He liked to listen to him, even though he became greatly disturbed every time he heard him.
Mark 6:20 GNB

Reflection:
Have you ever got a message from the Bible, or religious person or a friend and felt very uncomfortable about it, yet there was a certain peace that guarded your heart. That message came from God.

Prayer:
God our Father Thank you for protecting my heart. May my life's message always be that of proclaiming Jesus as Lord and Saviour. And may your Holy Spirit assist me in this my endeavour. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

The Real Value

You also say, ‘If anyone swears by the altar, it means nothing; but anyone who swears by the gift on the altar is bound by that oath.’  You blind men! Which is greater: the gift, or the altar that makes the gift sacred?
Matthew 23:18‭-‬19 NIV

Reflection:
At times we get over sighted and give value to the tangible things in our lives rather than ones who make them valuable. Let us not be blinded by our short sight but see the world as Jesus taught us to see.

Prayer:
God Our Father, Thank you for helping me see the world as you want me too, help me each day to walk in the path of your son Jesus and value all those who touch my life. And may your Holy Spirit be with me at all times. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Sticking to Gods ways

For those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.
Matthew 23:12 NIV

Reflection:
The world today walks a different path to what Jesus preached. Humility is considered a weakness. But as followers of Christ we got to stick his ways. For God's ways our not our ways.

Prayer:
God our Father, Thank you for teaching me your ways, may I always be humble as Christ even though I am put on a cross. And May your Holy Spirit teach me to discern my actions. Amen

The Greatest Commandments

Jesus replied: “ ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’
Matthew 22:37‭-‬39 NIV

Reflection:
God commands us to love both, himself and his creation, for man is created in God's image and likeness. We cannot love God without loving man, and cannot love man without loving God.

The Generosity of God

Take your pay and go. I want to give the one who was hired last the same as I gave you.
Matthew 20:14 NIV

Reflection:
God's generosity is beyond our comprehension, for John the Baptist laboured all his life, while the thief on the right of the cross made his peace with God at the last hour. While the reward is the same, the motive for one's labour can make all the difference. Let us continue our work not looking for how much we can get, but how much can we give.

Prayer:
God our Father, Thank you for calling me to serve your people. Your timing Lord is perfect, may I grow each day in the knowledge of Jesus Christ my lord and may your Holy Spirit be my advocate and counselor. Amen
