The Truth

If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

Reflection:
This is the absolute truth that “Jesus is Lord,” There will always be opinions and perspectives, but nothing can change the truth, for it doesn't change with time or circumstances. The truth is always constant.

Prayer:
God our Father Thank you for revealing the truth through your son Jesus. May I walk in his ways at all times as your Holy Spirit guards and guides my heart. Amen

God is Good

And Jesus said to him, "Why do you call me good? No one is good except God alone.

Reflection:

Humility is being conscious of who you are. Yes, you may be talented, you may be rich, you may even be an awesome bike rider. But all we have comes from the Grace of God. And that is why God is Good.

Prayer:

God our Father Thank you for all your Goodness. May always acknowledge your grace like Jesus your son did, giving you Glory through all his works. And as I set out to do them, I ask you to send down your Holy Spirit to guide me. Amen

Discern through Gods Wisdom

And he said, "Truly, I tell you, this poor widow has put in more than all of them.  And he said, "See that you are not led astray. For many will come in my name, saying, 'I am he!' and, 'The time is at hand!' Do not go after them.

Reflection:

There many things that go beyond our understanding and it is at these times that we are called not rely on our human intellect but trust in God's wisdom. And it is this wisdom that will help you discern.

Prayer: 

God our Father, Thank you for calling me to your kingdom through Christ your son. May he always be my beginning and end. I ask of thee, the fruits and gifts of your Holy Spirit to lead this life you've given me. Amen

God Knows Everything

Reflection:
God is aware of the condition of hearts, the words on our lips, the intent of our actions and the words of our hands. Let all we do, be for the greater Glory of God.

God our Father, Thank you for the voice of my conscience through your speak. May I always pay heed as I walk in ways of your son Jesus. And may your Holy Spirit pour out on me the gifts of wisdom and understanding. Amen

The King is Coming Again

When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit on his glorious throne.  Before him will be gathered all the nations, and he will separate people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.
Matthew 25:31‭-‬32 ESV

Reflection:
That Christ will come again as King is certain. And he is coming for a purpose; to judge the living and the dead. Sooner or later I will stand in front for judgement.

Prayer:
God our Father Thank you for the revealing the truth, may I live my life submitting my will to you, so that I am be able to stand in front of Jesus when he comes. May your Holy Spirit be with me in this my endeavour. Amen

Jesus is Joy

Reflection:
True and eternal Happiness can only be found in God, for God loves without any condition. Jesus is the joy of living, I will be glad and Praise your Holy name

God our Father Thank you for the revelation of the truth. May this unexplainable joy always be deep within my being, as I draw strength from Jesus your son and wait in your Holy Spirit to be led with wisdom and understanding. Amen

All Glory, Honour and Praise to God

Yours, O Lord , is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, for all that is in the heavens and in the earth is yours. Yours is the kingdom, O Lord , and you are exalted as head above all.

Reflection:
While God has given us free will, it is He who reigns supreme both on Heaven and on Earth. When we submit to him, he will bring out the best in us, So all Glory and Honour and Praise to God.

God Our Father, All Glory, Honour and Praise to you. May I always be like your son Jesus Christ, doing all things for your greater Glory and may your Holy Spirit be with me at all times. Amen

Calling out to God

On the day I called, you answered me; my strength of soul you increased.

Reflection:
There so many times where we feel distant from God, but that distance is usually created by own selves. To do away with that, all we need to do is cry out to the Lord and take the first step towards him.

God our Father Thank you for always being close to me, for heeding my prodigal call. May I always walk in the light and path of Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior as I am led by your Holy Spirit. Amen.

Jesus will come again

He was made king, however, and returned home. Then he sent for the servants to whom he had given the money, in order to find out what they had gained with it.

Reflection:

Jesus is the King and Saviour for this world and he surely will come again; to find out what we have done with what he has given us

God our Father Thank you what you have bestowed upon me, may I always do that what you desire thus bringing you Glory, Honour, and Praise. May your Holy Spirit guides me through this my endeavour. Amen

In need of the Grace of God

All the people saw this and began to mutter, “He has gone to be the guest of a sinner.”

Reflection:
How often have we spoken in judgement about our neighbour or the person in church? Let us not forget that someday we'll be standing in for judgement. Each one of us needs the grace of God, without it we would be lost.

Prayer:
God our Father, Thank you for the grace you pour out on me through the merits of your son Jesus Christ, my Lord and Saviour. As I strive to live a holy life may your Holy Spirit bless me with it's fruits and gifts. Amen

Be Bold in Faith

Reflection:
The world will tell you many things, but it is the conviction in your heart that matters. Believe in Christ Jesus and call out to him boldly. Your faith will make you well.

Prayer:
God our Father, thank you for instilling the truth of Jesus your son in my heart. May I walk in boldness on the path you've chosen for me fulfilling my purpose here on Earth as I am led by your Holy Spirit. Amen

For the Greater Glory of God

Reflection:
Each one of us has received talents by our Lord. But are we even aware of it? And if we are aware that are we using the talents for? Let all Glory be to God.

Prayer:
God our Father, Thank you for bestowing in me countless blessings, may I always be like your son Jesus doing things for your greater Glory. And may your Holy Spirit help me in this my endeavour. Amen

Walking on Water

“Come,” he said. Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus.
Matthew 14:29 NIV

Reflection:
While often we hear, that Peter began to sink, the verse above tells  us that he actually walked on water. We too can and are called to walk on water, all we need to do his heed Jesus' call and keep our focus on him.

Prayer:
God our Father Thank you for pouring your grace on me to hear the voice of your son Jesus. May your Holy Spirit give me the wisdom and strength to walk in water. Amen

Loving God

Reflection:
God is calling us to a greater good and to each one of us he has given a purpose of loving him. But how can we love God if we do not love our neighbour. To everyone we do good we do it unto him.

Prayer:
God our Father Thank you for making me the person I am, uniquely made in your image and likeness. May my actions in life always reflect the goodness of your son Jesus as I am led and guided by your Holy Spirit. Amen

Wisdom of God

For God loves nothing so much as the man who lives with wisdom.
Wisdom 7:28

Reflection:
In wisdom, there is a spirit that is intelligent, holy, unique, manifold, subtle, mobile, clear, unpolluted, distinct, invulnerable, loving the good, keen, irresistible, beneficent, humane, steadfast, sure, free from anxiety, all-powerful, overseeing all, and penetrating through all spirits that are intelligent and pure and most subtle. Wisdom is a breath of the power of God, and a pure emanation of the glory of the Almighty.

Prayer:
God our Father Thank you for gift of life you have given me. My desire is to walk in the light and path of your son Jesus. I ask you of you to enlighten me with your wisdom through the working of your Holy Spirit. Amen

Putting Faith into Practice

Then he said to him, “Rise and go; your faith has made you well.”
Luke 17:19 NIV

Reflection:
Faith is a gift from God, but it's end use lies with us. We can have all the faith in the world, but if we don't put it into practice, it won't work.

Prayer:
God our Father Thank you for giving me the gift of faith. May each day be a testimony to this faith in Christ Jesus your son as my thoughts and works are led by your Holy Spirit. Amen

The Gift of Faith

Those who trust in him will understand the truth, and the faithful will abide with him in love, because grace and mercy are upon his holy ones, and he watches over his elect.

Reflection: 

Faith in God is not an intellectual attribute, It is God’s gift to us. When we are humble and open to his grace and mercy, Faith follows suit, thus enabling us to reach out to him, The Font of Eternal and Abundant Life.

God our Father Thank you for blessing me with the gift of Faith, may  I always be humble and open to receive your graces through the merits of your son Jesus Christ my Lord and Saviour. And may your Holy Spirit bless me with wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. Amen

Reflection:

Most times we are focused on ourselves falling into sin, but oversee that we could be a cause of temptation to another. Let's be aware, not only about ourselves, but even about how we deal with others.

Prayer:

God our Father Thank you for making me aware of everything around me, may I see the world as Jesus your son did and may lead all the people that come my way to you, as I am led by your Holy Spirit. Amen

Seeking Wisdom

Wisdom is radiant and unfading, and she is easily discerned by those who love her and is found by those who seek her

Reflection: 

Wisdom is like the scent of God, it has been there, since the creation of time. It is not easily available, you have to seek and desire her, for when you do, she will come to you. 

Prayer: 

God our Father, Thank you for blessing me in all your wisdom, may I seek wisdom so as to be blessed with her, that I may walk in the footsteps of your son Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior. And may your Holy Spirit always help me discern with wisdom. Amen

God sees the heart

Reflection:

We can try put up a facade for all to see, but know that God can see beyond, for his ways are not our ways.

God our Father Thank you for the help you give me to unmask myself. In moments of weakness let me draw strength from Jesus your son. And may your Holy Spirit be with me at all times. Amen

Reflection:
When you Praise God, you praise him with all your heart, soul and might. For God is all deserving of Love and Praise.

Our Bodies are a Temple

Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in your midst?

Reflection:

As baptised Christians, each one of us receives God's Holy Spirit and our body is transformed into a temple for his spirit to reside. Let us be aware of this, so that we can make better decisions with regards to our body.

Prayer:

God our Father Thank you for sending down your Holy Spirit upon me. May I always be drawn to walk in the footsteps of Jesus your son. Amen

Reflection:

If there is one word that sums up what God is and what he desires is LOVE. Everything about and with God begins and ends with Love.

God our Father Thank you for your unconditional Love for me. Help me each day to be more like your son Jesus in all that I do. and May your most Holy Spirit be my counsel and guide at all times. Amen

Choose Wisely

Our conscience is constantly speaking to us about our choices and though it may seem difficult, with God's grace we can choose wisely and live well.

God our Father Thank you for giving me the gift of free will, may I always honour this gift by making the right choices in life just as Jesus did. And may I always be accompanied by your Holy Spirit. Amen

The Will of God

For I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of him who sent me.

Reflection:

While we all have the gift of free will, the real joy is in submitting our will to that of the Father just as Jesus did. And in doing so we will fulfill our purpose.

God our Father I willing entrust my all into your hands, for in my life, your will be done. May I draw my strength from Jesus your son and I pray that your Holy Spirit be with me at all times. Amen

Depending on God

Reflection:
Humility builds our dependency on God. While in pride we boast of what we ourselves can do, not realising that God's be the source of all that has been achieved. Let all our actions give Glory to God.

God Loves the humble of heart. It is in humility that we are close to God.

Called to Serve

Reflection:

Sometimes we create our own boundaries not realizing that God's way is different from ours. We are all called to serve while here on earth, for when we serve man, we serve God.

God our Father Thank you that I can listen to your calling, may my heart always be moved like Jesus as I reach out to your people. And may your Holy Spirit keep my humble and rooted in your word. Amen

Created for Eternity

Reflection:

We were created for Eternity, through God in Jesus Christ. For that, He came, died and was raised to life.

God our Father Thank you for creating me in your image and likeness. May my soul find its rest in Jesus your son and my mortal body be led by your Holy Spirit. Amen

Children of God

See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.

Reflection:

What a privilege for us to be called the child of God. This has been given to us by God himself, therefore no one can take it away.

God our Father Thank you for calling me your Child. May I always hold close to my heart this privilege as I walk in light and hope of your Jesus your son. And may your Holy Spirit keep me humble and grounded. Amen
