God so loves the world

God gave the Law through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.
John 1:17 GNBDK

Reflection:
Disobedience to the law is liable for punishment, and each one of us at some point have broken the law of God. But God knows and understands our human fragility. That is why He sent his only begotten son to save us, because God loves us like no other.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to be open to the grace he pours out in you through his son Jesus. And may you always be obedient to the calling of his Holy Spirit. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Called to a Purpose

Jesus answered them, “Why did you have to look for me? Didn't you know that I had to be in my Father's house?”
Luke 2:49 GNBDK

Reflection:
Our Happiness is in God alone, for he created us for him. Once we understand this fundamental truth, life on earth will then be meaningful as we will journey in accordance to our purpose; of knowing, loving and serving God,  just like Jesus.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to understand that you belong to him. May you grow in wisdom and knowledge as yiu walk in the path of Jesus his son and may you always be led by his Holy Spirit. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Call to Obedience

If we obey God's commands, then we are sure that we know him. those who say that they remain in union with God should live just as Jesus Christ did.
1 John 2:3‭, ‬6 GNBDK

Reflection:
Jesus lived in complete obedience to the Father, even unto death on the cross. God's commandments are very clear; Love for God and love for neighbour, you can't do just one, it's value is like the coin, you have to do both. And we who claim to know God, are we obedient to his commandments?

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to be obedient to his calling just like Jesus his son. And may his Holy Spirit help you discern his voice. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Forgiveness in Jesus name

If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and there is no truth in us. But if we confess our sins to God, he will keep his promise and do what is right: he will forgive us our sins and purify us from all our wrongdoing.
1 John 1:8‭-‬9 GNBDK

Reflection:
The truth is we are all sinners and the biggest lie the enemy will tell you; 'that is not a sin, it's ok'. For that is how even Eve was tempted. But God's ways are not our ways, though Adam and Eve sinned God came looking for them and likewise is looking for us. All we need to do is humbly acknowledge our sin.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to humbly accept Jesus Christ his son as your Lord and Saviour. May you receive the promised forgiveness his name, and may all your actions be led by his Holy Spirit. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

27 December 2018

Believe

Then the other disciple, who had reached the tomb first, also went in; he saw and believed.
John 20:8 GNBDK

Reflection:
We might run to prayer centres and retreat houses seeking God, but the do we really believe and is the belief temporary or do we make it our way of life. The disciple John gives us an example that we are called to be closed to Jesus, and this will happen only when we truly believe.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to believe in his son Jesus as you live the true Christian life. May his Holy Spirit lead you alongside your every endeavour. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

26 December 2018

God is with us

"For my sake you will be brought to trial before rulers and kings, to tell the Good News to them and to the Gentiles.  When they bring you to trial, do not worry about what you are going to say or how you will say it; when the time comes, you will be given what you will say."
Matthew 10:18‭-‬19 GNBDK

Reflection:
While yesterday we celebrated a joyful occasion, today's gospel seems to be on sharp contrast. But the truth is Jesus was born to die, and in dying he has overcome even death so that we can live for all Eternity. And no matter what your circumstances are, know that God is with you at all times, for he has given us his word.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to be open to his word made flesh in Jesus Christ his son. May you always stand firm in your faith assured by his Holy Spirit. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

25 December 2018

Jesus is the Word of God

In the beginning the Word already existed; the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The Word became a human being and, full of grace and truth, lived among us. We saw his glory, the glory which he received as the Father's only Son.
John 1:1‭, ‬14 GNBDK

Reflection:
Jesus is the word of God. By this word was the world made, by this word the world was saved. Jesus is what the prophets prophesied, the fulfillment of the old testament, Jesus is the New covenant. Let us then place our hope, our trust and joy in Jesus for he is the word of God.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father give you the grace to trust in his word, made flesh in Christ Jesus his son. And may his Holy Spirit reveal to you the mysteries of his word. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

On this Joyous occasion I wish you and your loved ones a very Merry Christmas!!! May the good Lord always be close your hearts and may you always experience his presence, warmth and unconditional love.

Trusting the will of God

"Go and tell my servant David, ‘This is what the Lord says: Are you the one to build me a house to dwell in?"
2 Samuel 7:5 NIV

Reflection:
Often at times we think we can do things by our own strength and perhaps we can, but in doing so are we really discerning the will of God? Everything we have is what God has given to us, as we live our lives, let us always be humble and grateful for all we have received and pray to God for his will to be done in our lives.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to accept his will for your life. May you be like Jesus always trusting, praying and thanking the father. And may his Holy Spirit be with all the days of your life. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

23 December 2018

Called to reach out

Why should this great thing happen to me, that my Lord's mother comes to visit me?
Luke 1:43 GNBDK

Reflection:
While Mary had the privilege to be the Mother of Jesus, she didn't demand or seek attention for herself, instead she reached out to her cousin who was in need for help. Often we feel that life is unfair to us, but a closer look at our faith will teach us that we are called to deny ourselves, pick up our cross willingly and serve God as we reach out to our neighbours.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to reach out his love to all that come across your path. May Jesus be your source of strength and joy in all you do and may his Holy Spirit bless you with wisdom and understanding. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

22 December 2018

The Joy of Eternity

Mary said, "My heart praises the Lord;  my soul is glad because of God my Saviour..."
Luke 1:46‭-‬47 GNBDK

Reflection:
Mary's heart was full of praise and soul filled with joy. For God was dwelling within her, as she held the lil babe Jesus in her womb. And this privilege is given to us at the Eucharist; every time we receive Holy Communion; Jesus gives himself to us. Do we experience the same joy or are we simply participating in a practice?

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to be aware that you are set apart as his child. May you in all humility receive his son Jesus just like his mother Mary did. And may his Holy Spirit reveal to you the joy and happiness of eternity. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

21 December 2018

Submit to God's Plan

"How happy you are to believe that the Lord's message to you will come true!"
Luke 1:45 GNBDK

Reflection:
God has a plan for each one of us, but many of us are not aware, while some don't believe, some make their own. But we can look up to Mama Mary who leads us by example, as the handmaid of the Lord. If you are looking for happiness, know that God has a plan, and you are called to submit to it.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to submit to his will as you walk in the light and path of Jesus his son and may his Holy Spirit always be by your side to guide and govern your ways. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

20 December 2018

The Devotion to Mary

And coming to her, he said,
"Hail, full of grace! The Lord is with you."
LUKE 1:28

Reflection:
For sometime now the devotion to Mother Mary has always been a debate and this is primarily because of human intellect. But God's in his infinite wisdom has given us a clear perspective through his word. The Rosary then leads us to God through his word.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace and wisdom to live like Jesus and his mother Mary, living the word of God. And may his Holy Spirit teach you ways of God. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

19 December 2018

Perfect Timing

But the angel said to him, “Don't be afraid, Zechariah! God has heard your prayer, and your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son. You are to name him John. "So has the Lord done for me at a time when he has seen fit
to take away my disgrace before others."
Luke 1:13, 25 GNBDK

Reflection:
God is never early or late, his timing is perfect. As his people we ought to trust him and his ways. And scripture bears witness to it from Abraham to Jesus, God worked his way. When you leave everything in God's hands, He will make all things beautiful, in his time.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to trust his timing and ways. Like Jesus may you always Thank and acknowledge God for everything that happens in your life and may his Holy Spirit reveal to you the mighty plans God has for you. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

18 December 2018

Trust God to keep His Promises

“The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel” (which means “God with us”).
Matthew 1:23 NIV

Reflection:
Every prophecy of God in the old testament was fulfilled by the coming of Jesus . And his coming  was not just a religious account, it is a historical fact that is documented. So know that in every sphere of your life God is with you through his son Jesus Christ

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to be open to his word as you trust him to keep his promises. May you always be obedient like Jesus his son as you are led by his Holy Spirit. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

17 December 2018

Christ Our First Hope

So then, there were fourteen generations from Abraham to David, and fourteen from David to the exile in Babylon, and fourteen from then to the birth of the Messiah.
Matthew 1:17 GNBDK

Reflection:
The hope for a Messiah was there is since long. But God in his infinite wisdom, perfectly timed the birth of Jesus. So also, we may find ourselves in a circumstance for Hope. As Christians then, our first hope is in Christ- a promise fulfilled by God in his time.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father bring to fruition all the plans he has for your life as you submit your will to him, just like Jesus his son did. And may his Holy Spirit assist you along the way. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

16 December 2018

Joyful in the Lord

May you always be joyful in your union with the Lord. I say it again: rejoice!
Philippians 4:4 GNBDK

Reflection:
Many a times we get stuck in our everyday lives, limiting our lives to this earth. But we our God's people, made in his image and likeness. Made by him, for him, for all eternity. When you know and understand who you are in God, joy becomes your nature. And no matter the situation around you. No one can take away this Joy! Are you then, joyful in the Lord?

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the wisdom and understanding that surpasses all earthly knowledge as you rejoice in his son Jesus Christ. And may his Holy Spirit reveal to you all his graces. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

15 December 2018

Preparing away for the Lord

“Elijah is indeed coming first,” answered Jesus, “and he will get everything ready. But I tell you that Elijah has already come and people did not recognize him, but treated him just as they pleased. In the same way they will also ill-treat the Son of Man.”
Matthew 17:11‭-‬12 GNBDK

Reflection:
The metaphor for John the Baptist was in reference to his work, that like Elijah, he too was preparing a way for the Lord. Likewise, God sends Elijah  and John our way so that we can prepare well, do we recognise these instruments of God or are we too busy in our everyday lives?

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to recognise his prophets and works in your life. May Jesus Christ his son help you turn to God's ways and may his Holy Spirit guide and govern your path. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

14 December 2018

Faith in God

"Now, to what can I compare the people of this day? They are like children sitting in the market place. One group shouts to the other, ‘We played wedding music for you, but you wouldn't dance! We sang funeral songs, but you wouldn't cry!’"
Matthew 11:16‭-‬17 GNBDK

Reflection:
Children can get stubborn and rigid with their demands and the same thing can happen to us, especially when it comes to matters of the faith through the Gospel. The revelation of the truth is given by God to whom he chooses; And God's ways are not like our ways. So let it be done to us according to our faith.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to open to his wisdom that comes to you through his words made flesh in Christ Jesus his son. And may his Holy Spirit teach you to discern the word as you humbly submit your will to God. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

13 December 2018

Choosing God

"I assure you that John the Baptist is greater than anyone who has ever lived. But the one who is least in the Kingdom of heaven is greater than John.  Listen, then, if you have ears!"
Matthew 11:11‭, ‬15 GNBDK

Reflection:
While the virtues of the world has many things to offer, we ought to know and remember that our final destination is eternity. And where we spend our eternity is entirely dependent on the choices we make on earth. Are we listening to God? or doing as we please ?

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to choose wisely as you accept his son Jesus. And may his Holy Spirit help you discern the voice of God in your life. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

12 December 2018

The will of God

"For there is nothing that God cannot do."
Luke 1:37 GNBDK

Reflection:
There is nothing that God cannot do, everything is possible with God. When you know and believe this you are submitting yourself to his will, just like Mary did. God has a plan for each one of us and for each one the plan is different. Let us look at our own lives then, and know that God is with us through it all as we humbly accept his will for our lives.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to be open to his will. May Jesus Christ his son be your source of strength and inspiration. And may his Holy Spirit be with you at all times. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

11 December 2018

The lost sheep

"What do you think a man does who has 100 sheep and one of them gets lost? He will leave the other 99 grazing on the hillside and go and look for the lost sheep. In just the same way your  Father in heaven does not want any of these little ones to be lost."
Matthew 18:12‭, ‬14 GNBDK

Reflection:
God is always by our side, but it's sin that takes us away from him. Just like Adam we begin to hide from God knowing that we are sinners. And here is when the enemy tells you the lie, that your not worth it. So that you can distance yourself from God even more. The truth however is, one step of genuine repentance like the prodigal son, and God will come running to you,  for he is always on the lookout for the lost sheep.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to acknowledge your shortcomings as you accept Jesus Christ his son as your Lord and Saviour. May his Holy Spirit teach you the ways of God. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

10 December 2018

Call to Forgiveness

I will prove to you, then, that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins.” So he said to the paralysed man, “I tell you, get up, pick up your bed, and go home!”
Luke 5:24 GNBDK

Reflection:
Every time we profess our faith, we proclaim we believe in the forgiveness of sins. But we can be forgiven only when we acknowledge that we are sinners in need of a Saviour. Our Faith so beautifully leads us to the sacrament of reconciliation, through the penitential rite at mass and through confessions, are we willing to accept the forgiveness that Jesus gives us?

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to humbly acknowledge your shortcomings as you seek refuge in Jesus Christ his son. May our ever loving God grant you pardon and bring you eternal joy and peace in mind and body. And may his Holy Spirit always teach you to keep a humble and a contrite heart. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

09 December 2018

Salvation from God

As it is written in the book of the prophet Isaiah: “Someone is shouting in the desert: ‘Get the road ready for the Lord; make a straight path for him to travel! Every valley must be filled up, every hill and mountain levelled off. The winding roads must be made straight, and the rough paths made smooth. The whole human race will see God's salvation!’ ”
Luke 3:4‭-‬6 GNBDK

Reflection:
One would need a jar to draw out water from a well, likewise a cup is needed below a coffee vending machine. And so it is with Salvation, although it is a free gift from God, it requires our consent, it requires a yes from our free will. And when we repent and give up our old ways. We will see the what God has for us.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to walk in the light of Jesus Christ his son. May you willingly submit to God's will in your life as you are assisted in every endeavour by his Holy Spirit. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

08 December 2018

Lead us to Jesus, your loving son...

“I am the Lord's servant,” said Mary; “may it happen to me as you have said.” And the angel left her.
Luke 1:38 GNBDK

Reflection:
God's word is at the very foundation of the world, and so it should be the at the very core of our lives. Every move we make and every step we take should be according to God's word. And Mama Mary shows us the way, that we must thread on.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to listen and follow his word made flesh in Christ Jesus his son. And may his Holy Spirit teach you God's ways. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

07 December 2018

Faith in Jesus

Then Jesus touched their eyes and said, “Let it happen, then, just as you believe!”
Matthew 9:29 GNBDK

Reflection:
Everyday something unique happens in our lives. Some people consider these happenings as luck while some would consider them as blessings. What happens then is what we believe in, and the question we need to ask ourselves is, do we believe in Jesus?

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to believe in his son Jesus who gave himself up as a sacrifice, so that you can inherit God's kingdom. And may his Holy Spirit always lead you on. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

05 December 2018

Emphatic God

Jesus called his disciples to him and said, “I feel sorry for these people, because they have been with me for three days and now have nothing to eat. I don't want to send them away without feeding them, for they might faint on their way home.”
Matthew 15:32 GNBDK

Reflection:
You may think that God is aloof to all our emotions, but Jesus exclaims, "I feel".  No matter what you are going through, surrender it to God. Jesus empathizes with us, and knows every depth of our being. Can we then trust our God who has so wonderfully made us.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to be open to his love as you call on the name of Jesus with utmost confidence, knowing that your prayer has been answered. May his Holy Spirit bless you with faith and wisdom. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

04 December 2018

Growing in Christian Maturity

At that time Jesus, full of joy through the Holy Spirit, said, “I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children. Yes, Father, for this is what you were pleased to do.
Luke 10:21 NIV

Reflection:
The analogy of the Children in the verse above is to do with trust. Little children trust their parents immensely, because they do not know anything. And in return their parents teach their ways. And children become responsible adults, it the same thing with God, when we obey, we grow to become mature Christians.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to be obedient to his word. May you learn the ways of Christ as you grow in wisdom and understanding blessed by his Holy Spirit. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

03 December 2018

Faith

The centurion replied, "Lord, I do not deserve to have you come under my roof. But just say the word, and my servant will be healed."
Matthew 8:8 NIV

Reflection:
Every time at the Eucharist before communion, we recite the centurion's reply as a pray, but we need to ask ourselves, that is our faith so strong. That we believe Jesus can do the impossible, or are we overwhelmed by the anxieties of life? As we pray, let us pray in Faith, knowing that everything is possible with God.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to bold in your faith as you proclaim that Jesus is Lord and Saviour. May his Holy Spirit bless you with wisdom. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

02 December 2018

Hope

May the Lord make your love for one another and for all people grow more and more and become as great as our love for you.
1 Thessalonians 3:12 GNBDK

Reflection:
The prayer of the apostles was that the people of God should walk in the light. And this ray of hope comes from Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour. It was the love of God that made us, and God's love that saved us through his son. If we call ourselves Christians, let us then live like Christ, with a life full of Love.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to walk in the light of his son Jesus as you take the good news of Hope to all those around you. And may his Holy Spirit be with you in every endeavour of yours. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

01 December 2018

Preparing For Jesus

“Be on your guard! Don't let yourselves become occupied with too much feasting and drinking and with the worries of this life, or that Day may suddenly catch you  like a trap. For it will come upon all people everywhere on earth.  Be on the alert and pray always that you will have the strength to go safely through all those things that will happen and to stand before the Son of Man.”
Luke 21:34‭-‬36 GNBDK

Reflection:
Too often we focus on the things that our temporary. We are created for Eternity, this was God's plan. But man rejected it by disobedience. So God came down himself in the form of man to bring us Hope for an eternal life. As we enter the season of Advent let us prepare our hearts for the coming of the Lord, for God himself will us to be with him for all Eternity.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to prepare well to welcome his son Jesus in your heart and life. May your life be renewed with abundance, joy and Love. And may his Holy Spirit bless you with his fruits and gifts. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Believing in the Word

So then, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message comes through preaching Christ. But I ask: is it true that they did not hear the message? Of course they did — for as the scripture says: “The sound of their voice went out to all the world; their words reached the ends of the earth.”
Romans 10:17‭-‬18 GNBDK

Reflection:
We all have our daily encounters with God in our lives, through his word or through a deed. Because hope comes only from him who is the source of all. Jesus - the source of all goodness and love is knocking at the door of your heart, are you going to let him in?

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to heed to Jesus his son, as you transform yourself in his truth and light. And may his Holy Spirit always direct your paths. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

29 November 2018

Invitation to a celebration

Then the angel said to me, “Write this: happy are those who have been invited to the wedding feast of the Lamb.”
Revelation 19:9A GNBDK

Reflection:
It is privilege to be invited to the wedding Feast of the Lamb, yet often we reject God's invitation, because we are so caught up with ourselves and our lives. We fail to see that we are created for eternity. We need grace to adhere to God's call, and  at every Eucharistic celebration Jesus gives himself to us freely. Are we open to freely receive him?

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to prepare your heart to welcome his son Jesus Christ as you freely partake every Eucharistic celebration. And may his Holy Spirit help you discern God's will for you, at all times. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

28 November 2018

The Grace of God

"Before all these things take place, however, you will be arrested and persecuted; you will be handed over to be tried in synagogues and be put in prison; you will be brought before kings and rulers for my sake. But not a single hair from your heads will be lost. Stand firm, and you will save yourselves."
Luke 21:12‭, ‬18‭-‬19 GNBDK

Reflection:
While life on earth comes with our cross, it also comes with the grace of God to carry it. But often we find ourselves fatigued because we are dependent on our own strength. Faith is a matter of choice. When we choose God we will be victorious.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to carry your cross each day as you draw strength and motivation from Jesus Christ his son. And may his Holy Spirit bless you with wisdom to make better choices. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

27 November 2018

Jesus is coming again

Jesus said, “Be on guard; don't be deceived. Many men, claiming to speak for me, will come and say, ‘I am he!’ and, ‘The time has come!’ But don't follow them. Don't be afraid when you hear of wars and revolutions; such things must happen first, but they do not mean that the end is near.”
Luke 21:8‭-‬9 GNBDK

Reflection:
There is one truth, that a man named Jesus walked the earth, and what he preached two thousand years ago, still holds fort. The gospel proclaim that he will come again, and these are the words of Jesus, but he also warns us to be careful about impostors.  Let's us implore the help of his Holy Spirit to discern god's voice to us.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to be obedient to his word made flesh in Christ Jesus his son. And may his Holy Spirit always guide and govern your thoughts, words and deeds. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

26 November 2018

Our Christian Calling

Jesus looked round and saw rich people dropping their gifts in the temple treasury, and he also saw a very poor widow dropping in two little copper coins.
Luke 21:1‭-‬2 GNBDK

Reflection:
We often assume that as Christians we ought to be doing great works to validate our calling. In reality God has a unique plan and purpose for each one of us and we ought to seek our calling according to his will. As for works; a kind word, a glass of water or heartfelt prayer for someone goes along way in God's eyes.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father moves your  heart to do his will as you reach out in the name of his son Jesus offering the smallest of assistance to your neighbours. And may his Holy Spirit guide and govern your thoughts, words and actions. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

25 November 2018

The Truth that sets you free

So Pilate asked him, “Are you a king, then?” Jesus answered, “You say that I am a king. I was born and came into the world for this one purpose, to speak about the truth. Whoever belongs to the truth listens to me.”
John 18:37 GNBDK

Reflection:
On earth we are always concerned about earthly things, but one must realize, that life on earth is temporary, the only thing that we must really be concerned about is our Salvation. There is only one truth, and that is salvation comes from Christ. Once we understand this truth, the truth will set us free.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to live in the truth that sets you free as you live an abundant life in Christ Jesus his son. May his Holy Spirit be with you helping you discern God's plan and purpose for your life. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Called to live for Eternity

Jesus answered them, “The men and women of this age marry,  but the men and women who are worthy to rise from death and live in the age to come will not then marry. They will be like angels and cannot die. They are the children of God, because they have risen from death.
Luke 20:34‭-‬36 GNBDK

Reflection:
As a sacrament, marriage is a visible sign of God's grace wherein within it one is called to experience the love of God through his/her spouse. But after our journey here on earth we will go back to God and hence we don't need a representation or sign of his love and grace, for we will expect first hand.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to live a worthy life, full of love and understanding as you emulate Jesus Christ his son. May his Holy Spirit teach you God's ways. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

23 November 2018

The Authority of Jesus

Then Jesus went into the Temple and began to drive out the merchants, saying to them, “It is written in the Scriptures that God said, ‘My Temple will be a house of prayer.’ But you have turned it into a hideout for thieves!”
Luke 19:45‭-‬46 GNBDK

Reflection:
Jesus did everything with authority, because all authority in heaven and on earth has be given to him. As Christians we have been commissioned with this authority to go out and bear lasting fruits. Are we heeding to this authority or taking things for granted?

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to be open to his word made flesh in Christ Jesus his son. May stand firm in your faith as you are led by his Holy Spirit. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

A Christian Testimony

They sang a new song: “You are worthy to take the scroll and to break open its seals. For you were killed, and by your sacrificial death you bought for God people from every tribe, language, nation, and race. You have made them a kingdom of priests to serve our God, and they shall rule on earth.”
Revelation 5:9‭-‬10 GNBDK

Reflection:
As Christians we have come to the right first, for we are the chosen ones of God. But we have a responsibility on us and that is to share the good news that we rejoice in. To give hope, to bring peace and most importantly to tell the world about God's Love.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father moves your heart to acknowledge his love. May your life always reflect the Gospel of Jesus his son, the testimony of God's love. And may his Holy Spirit help you discern God's plan for your life. Amen

Jesus My Saviour

The Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.
Luke 19:10 GNBDK

Reflection:
Our attitude to life determines the way we live, one can shout out a lie, or stay humble with the truth. The world has only temporary things to offer and all of it lasts only while we are here. Jesus came to give us new life, and we can receive it only when we realize and lose the old one. Therefore as Christians let us be aware of our every thought, words and actions.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to be humble as his son Jesus. May you be a Christian in the truest sense as you are led by his Holy Spirit. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Persist in Prayer

He cried out, “Jesus! Son of David! Take pity on me!” The people in front scolded him and told him to be quiet. But he shouted even more loudly, “Son of David! Take pity on me!”
Luke 18:38‭-‬39 GNBDK

Reflection:
At times we feel are prayers are in vain, but we are called to keep our faith steadfast just as the blind man of Jericho did. Nothing dettered his faith; nor his circumstance, neither the discouraging people around. Can we then continue to pray unceasingly?

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to remain in faithful prayer. May you always be inspired and draw strength from Jesus Christ his son. And may his Holy Spirit assist and give you the patience to persist in prayer. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

The Word of God

Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.
Mark 13:31 GNBDK

Reflection:
Words are very important, and we have to be very careful with our words and words that have come from God. His every word is a command, and we are called to obey. Likewise when choose our words we ought to choose well, for we ourselves are made in the image and likeness of God.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the wisdom to choose your words wisely, may you be obedient to the word made flesh in Christ Jesus his son. And may his Holy Spirit guide and govern your words. Amen

Called to Pray

Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to teach them that they should always pray and never become discouraged. "I tell you, he will judge in their favour and do it quickly. But will the Son of Man find faith on earth when he comes?"
Luke 18:1‭, ‬8 GNBDK

Reflection:
We are called to pray without ceasing, and God assures us, that he will hear our prayer, because through prayer we are in communion with God. But in all of this we must question ourselves, that is our prayer mere lips service or is it the voice from the depths of our hearts?

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to pray without ceasing as you follow in the footsteps of his son Jesus who always took time aside to pray. And may his Holy Spirit teach you how to pray. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Our Lives belong to God

Whoever tries to save his own life will lose it; whoever loses his life will save it.
Luke 17:33 GNBDK

Reflection:
Our lives are a gift from God to us, but what we make of it, becomes our gift to God. As humans we ought to realize that our life on earth is a pilgrimage, and eventually we have to return to him who made us. Let us then, not get stuck with earthly and material things, for our lives belong to God.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the wisdom to live a life detached from things that do not belong to his kingdom. May you draw strength from Jesus who himself walked the earth and has overcome it all. And may his Holy Spirit bless you with its fruits and gifts. Amen

Servants of the Word

It is the same with you; when you have done all you have been told to do, say, ‘We are ordinary servants; we have only done our duty.’
Luke 17:10 GNBDK

Reflection:
While often the attention shifts from what is being preaching to whom it is being preached by, we must know that preaching the gospel is a duty entrusted to every Christian. God's word and teachings are a command to us, and by this it is meant that we ought to obey it. Our aptitude towards the gospel has to have an attitude of a servant doing his/her duty.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to be faithful and obedient to his word made flesh in Christ Jesus his son. And may his Holy Spirit guide and govern your thoughts, words and deeds. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Watch your step

Jesus said to his disciples, “Things that make people fall into sin are bound to happen, but how terrible for the one who makes them happen!  It would be better for him if a large millstone were tied round his neck and he were thrown into the sea than for him to cause one of these little ones to sin.
Luke 17:1‭-‬2 GNBDK

The Attitude of Christ

The attitude you should have is the one that Christ Jesus had. He always had the nature of God, but he did not think that by force he should try to remain equal with God.
Philippians 2:5‭-‬6 GNBDK

Reflection:
We have been clearly given a way of life we ought to have. And this comes from Jesus himself, though he was God he never equated himself to God. As people walking in the light, we often feel privileged, but that doesn't give us the right to put down another. God makes the sun shine on Saint as well as the sinner.

I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to live in humility of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. And may his Holy Spirit always be by your side to assist you in all your endeavours. Amen

All Souls belong to God

This hope does not disappoint us, for God has poured out his love into our hearts by means of the Holy Spirit, who is God's gift to us.  But God has shown us how much he loves us — it was while we were still sinners that Christ died for us!
Romans 5:5‭, ‬8 GNBDK

"And it is the will of him who sent me that I should not lose any of all those he has given me, but that I should raise them all to life on the last day.  For what my Father wants is that all who see the Son and believe in him should have eternal life. And I will raise them to life on the last day."
John 6:39‭-‬40 GNBDK

Living like Saints

See how much the Father has loved us! His love is so great that we are called God's children and so, in fact, we are. This is why the world does not know us: it has not known God. Everyone who has this hope in Christ keeps himself pure, just as Christ is pure.
1 John 3:1‭, ‬3 GNBDK

Reflection:
We are all children of God, but how can we call ourselves his when we don't know him. In order to know we must spend time with him, when we do that, we will know him and his ways. This will become our hope then as we will live like his saints.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father makes known to you his plans for your future through Jesus Christ his son. And may you always be anointed by his Holy Spirit. Amen

Ephesians 5:32‭-‬33 GNBDK

Luke 13:7 GNBDK

The Gift from God

Jesus answered him, “My friend, who gave me the right to judge or to divide the property between you two?”  And he went on to say to them all, “Watch out and guard yourselves from every kind of greed; because a person's true life is not made up of the things he owns, no matter how rich he may be.”

Luke 11:39‭-‬40 GNBDK

Freedom is what we have — Christ has set us free! Stand, then, as free people, and do not allow yourselves to become slaves again.
Galatians 5:1 GNBDK

Reflection:
Christ came so that we may live, and live a life of abundance. But the cares and worries of the world makes us slaves to this life. Do not be conformed to the world, but have faith that transcends beyond human understanding as you seek the truth and the truth will set you free.

Wisdom from God

Realizing that I was only human, I prayed and was given understanding. The spirit of Wisdom came to me.
Wisdom 7:7 GNBDK

The word of God is alive and active, sharper than any double-edged sword. It cuts all the way through, to where soul and spirit meet, to where joints and marrow come together. It judges the desires and thoughts of the heart.
Hebrews 4:12 GNBDK

Reflection:
The word of God is active and alive, but no human knowledge can comprehend it. For human nature fell with sin, but in God's wisdom, it was redeemed by the precious blood of Jesus. Therefore ask and you shall receive wisdom from God.

Faith in Christ Jesus

It is through faith that all of you are God's children in union with Christ Jesus. So there is no difference between Jews and Gentiles, between slaves and free people, between men and women; you are all one in union with Christ Jesus.
Galatians 3:26‭, ‬28 GNBDK

Reflection:
Salvation is a free gift from God, on our merit we can do nothing to inherit it. It is only through faith in Christ Jesus that doors of heaven will be open. Closed hands cannot receive anything, one has to open them to receive. Similarly it is through our faith that we believe and are made one with Christ.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the humility to believe in things beyond the realm of the flesh. May Jesus Christ his son be your light and path to salvation and may his Holy Spirit be with you at all times. Amen

Called to be doing Christian

"Anyone who is not for me is really against me; anyone who does not help me gather is really scattering."
Luke 11:23 GNBDK

Reflection:
Jesus is very clear, as Christians we have to be ‘doing’ rather than just ‘saying’. Christ himself lead us by submitting his will to the Father by washing the feet of his disciples and carrying his cross. Sin is not only when we do wrong, not doing good is also a sin - sin of omission. Therefore let's stand for God as we gather his kingdom.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to submit your will to him. May you be lead by Jesus in every aspect of your life and may his Holy Spirit bless you at all times. Amen

Ask for Divine Providence

“And so I say to you: ask, and you will receive; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you.  For all those who ask will receive, and those who seek will find, and the door will be opened to anyone who knocks.  Bad as you are, you know how to give good things to your children. How much more, then, will the Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!”
Luke 11:9‭-‬10‭,13 GNBDK

Reflection:
We often hesitate to ask or we asking for the wrong things. As a parent you will never oblige your child's request for a revolver. And so it is with God, while he provides us with every blessing, He also wants us to be led by his Spirit, therefore when you ask of the Spirit, it will be given unto you.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father blesses you with Divine Providence as you yield to Jesus in doing the will of God through his Holy Spirit. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

The Lords Prayer

Jesus said to them, “When you pray, say this: ‘Father: May your holy name be honoured;  may your Kingdom come. Give us day by day the food we need. Forgive us our sins, for we forgive everyone who does us wrong.  And do not bring us to hard testing.’ ”
Luke 11:2‭-‬4 GNBDK

Reflection:
There are times when, we cannot pray, and there are times where we don't feel like praying. But we ought to know that it is pray that unties us with God, and Jesus himself taught us to pray. So every time you feel lost about prayer, reach out to God with Lord's prayer.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to be in union with him at all times, may you be like Jesus always taking time out to pray. And may his Holy Spirit intercede for you. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Rest in His Word

The Lord answered her, “Martha, Martha! You are worried and troubled over so many things,  but just one is needed. Mary has chosen the right thing, and it will not be taken away from her.”
Luke 10:41‭-‬42 GNBDK

Reflection:
The cares and worries of the world often makes us anxious and takes away our peace. But Jesus came so that we may life in abundance. All we need to do is shift our focus to him through his word. For by his word we shall be healed.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father opens your heart to his word made flesh in Christ Jesus his son. May the consumption of holy Eucharist, bring you peace and health in mind and body. And may his Holy Spirit always lead you to God's ways. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Love for God and Neighbor

The man answered, “ ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind’; and ‘Love your neighbour as you love yourself.’ ”
Luke 10:27 GNBDK

Reflection:
The Love for God is incomplete without the love for neighbour, because God decreed that love be in action and so He sent his only son as a ransom for the world. We are all called to be kind to our neighbors.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to reach out to your neighbors in loving kindness inspired by Jesus on the cross. And may his Holy Spirit give you wisdom to deal with every situation and circumstance. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

God has a plan

"No human being then must separate what God has joined together."
Mark 10:9 GNBDK

Reflection:
Our world has been put together by God and through the sacrament of matrimony he has set in motion his plans for generations. But man by nature thinks only about himself and many a times in doing so, we are not only distrupting God's plans but also going against his word.

Prayer
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to humbly accept his plan for your life, may the acceptance of Jesus bring you peace and contentment. And may his Holy Spirit reveal to you the marvellous works of God in your life. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

The Wisdom of God

At that time Jesus was filled with joy by the Holy Spirit and said, “Father, Lord of heaven and earth! I thank you because you have shown to the unlearned what you have hidden from the wise and learned. Yes, Father, this was how you wanted it to happen.
Luke 10:21 GNBDK

Reflection:
Earthly knowledge is limited to ones studies and exposure in the world. But the wisdom that comes from God is beyond any limitations. And this wisdom is given to those who are open to the will of God. For in order to accomplish his will, God our Father will equip you well.

Prayer:
I pray that you submit your will to God our Father as He draws you close to his son Jesus. May you in humble obedience draw strength from Jesus as you walk to narrow path. And may his Holy Spirit Bless you abundantly with wisdom and grace. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

God our Creator

For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful.
Psalm 139:13‭-‬14A NIV

Reflection:
At times you may feel that life happened to you by mistake and chances are these thoughts arise when the chips are low. But in all circumstances we ought to know and remember that we were individually created by God, and God doesn't make mistakes. Out of love and for a purpose He has made us.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you peace in mind and body as you entrust yourself to Jesus. And may his Holy Spirit always keep you aware of God's presence in your life. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Choosing God

But whenever you go into a town and are not welcomed, go out in the streets and say, ‘Even the dust from your town that sticks to our feet we wipe off against you. But remember that the Kingdom of God has come near you!’ I assure you that on Judgement Day God will show more mercy to Sodom than to that town!
Luke 10:10‭-‬12 GNBDK

Reflection:
While we all have been given a free will to make our choices, but we must be aware that every choice we make will have its own consequence. God has set the world in motion and he will not take away our free will. He cautions us about the consequence of rejecting his word. What then will we freely choose?

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to believe in his word made flesh in Christ Jesus his son. As you accept him as your Lord and Saviour, may his Holy Spirit rest upon you. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

God our Priority

Jesus said to him, “Anyone who starts to plough and then keeps looking back is of no use to the Kingdom of God.”
Luke 9:62 GNBDK

Reflection:
Many a times we are distracted by the worries of the world. While we all have been give the gift of life on earth, we must be aware, that we are here only temporarily, for we were created by God and for him. Therefore we must make him our priority.

Prayer:
I pray that, you make God our Father a priority in your life as you leave behind all cares and worries of the world. May Jesus be your source of inspiration and may his Holy Spirit bless you with wisdom and love. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Being Childlike

Jesus said, “I assure you that unless you change and become like children, you will never enter the Kingdom of heaven.
Matthew 18:3 GNBDK

Reflection:
Children never differentiate from one another and they simply trust, however as we grow we begin to doubt, especially the presence of God in our lives. Being child like is putting ones pride aside and being open to the grace of God.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the Grace to be childlike and obedient just like Jesus Christ his son. May you always yield to his Holy Spirit. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

All Glory to God

Then Job stood up and tore his clothes in grief. He shaved his head and threw himself face downwards on the ground. He said, “I was born with nothing, and I will die with nothing. The LORD gave, and now he has taken away. May his name be praised!”  In spite of everything that had happened, Job did not sin by blaming God.
Job 1:20‭-‬22 GNBDK

Reflection:
There might be very challenging times in your life, but these times are a times of test, for even the purity of Gold is tested by fire. While on earth we are more inclined to the flesh. We ought to live knowing we have come with nothing, and we'll take nothing when we go.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father opens your heart to his grace and like Jesus may you submit your will in His hands. And may his Holy Spirit help you in all your endeavours. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

God works through his word

Jesus said, “Do you believe just because I told you I saw you when you were under the fig tree? You will see much greater things than this!”
John 1:50 GNBDK

Reflection:
Have you experienced and believed God's work in your life, it may be help at the right time, or healing from sickness, or things falling into place. These are signs that God's word is working through you. And God's word also states that, there are much greater things to come. All we need is to be faithful to our God.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father opens your heart to his word made flesh in Christ Jesus his son. May you always be faithful to God as you depend on his grace and are strengthened by his Holy Spirit. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

In His Time

He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.
Ecclesiastes 3:11 NIV

Reflection:
Look back and see where you started out to where you have come, and try connecting the dots. You will find that everything makes sense, and no matter where you are at this point in time, know that, this is not the end. For when you leave everything in God's hands, he makes all things beautiful, in his time.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father opens your eyes to see his grace in your life. May you always be aware that Jesus took away your sin and set you free for all eternity. And may his Holy Spirit reveal to you the mighty works of God in your life. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Live Life Well

Generations come and generations go, but the world stays just the same
Ecclesiastes 1:4 GNBDK

Reflection:
When you first look at a group photograph, you will look for and at yourself first, rather than photo itself, but that is human nature. Contrary to that is divine nature that empties itself out selflessly. Life is too short to be marooned by gloom and negativity, imploring his grace we are all called to an abundant life.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father opens the eyes of your heart to see the abundant life he has called you to in Christ Jesus his son. May you always walk in his light assisted by his Holy Spirit. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Remain in the word of God

"God keeps every promise he makes. He is like a shield for all who seek his protection."
Proverbs 30:5 GNBDK

Reflection:
God speaks to us through his word, the more we want to hear him, the more we ought to remain his word. And God will fulfill all his promises in His time. Mary was the only one who did not run away from Jesus because she bore the word in her womb and her heart. And that is what kept her grounded in her faith from the start.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father draws you to his word, made flesh in Jesus Christ his son. As you a accept him while heartedly may you experience steadfastness in your faith. And may his Holy Spirit teach you with wisdom and give you the understanding of God's ways. Amen

God Bless you and your ones :)

Called to Obey

You may think that everything you do is right, but remember that the LORD judges your motives. Do what is right and fair; that pleases the LORD more than bringing him sacrifices.
Proverbs 21:2‭-‬3 GNBDK

Reflection:
The biggest gift that we can give God is the gift of obedience. And it is in obeying him that we partake in his plan for salvation. God has given us the gift of life, just as he gave Adam, but Adam went astray in disobedience, so God sent down his only son Jesus who was obedient even to death on a cross, so that we could be saved. Can we then deny ourselves and carry our own cross in obedience?

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to be obedient to his word made flesh in Jesus Christ his son. As you walk in the way, the truth and the light may his Holy Spirit help you to have more of him. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

The gift of Faith

“People do not light a lamp and cover it with a bowl or put it under a bed. Instead, they put it on the lampstand, so that people will see the light as they come in. “Be careful, then, how you listen; because those who have something will be given more, but those who have nothing will have taken away from them even the little they think they have.”
Luke 8:16‭, ‬18 GNBDK

Reflection:
Your faith is a gift from God, and through it you act in accordance, being a light to those around you. When we are open to God's ways, He leads us to where we ought to go, and when we are open to his word, He gives us the understanding to it.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the gift of faith as you open your heart to him. May Jesus his son help you to see the world in new light, as you bear witness to your faith. And may his Holy Spirit teach you God's ways. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Depend on the grace of God

Where do all the fights and quarrels among you come from? They come from your desires for pleasure, which are constantly fighting within you.
James 4:1 GNBDK

Reflection:
An unrest with another on deeper level is unrest within our own self. As human beings we will always be dependent on the grace of God, to stay away from sin, for sin itself is pleasurable and always inviting. And the flesh is always craving to satisfy itself. Perhaps that is why Jesus says 'deny yourself and take up your cross'. And one can only do this by the grace of God.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father opens your heart to his grace as you unconditionally accept his son Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour. In doing so may you find steadfast peace and joy in the abundance of life. And may his Holy Spirit guide you through your journey. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Word of God

And some seeds fell in good soil; the plants grew and produced corn, 100 grains each.” And Jesus concluded, “Listen, then, if you have ears!” The seeds that fell in good soil stand for those who hear the message and retain it in a good and obedient heart, and they persist until they bear fruit.
Luke 8:8‭, 15 GNBDK

Reflection:
While we hear the word of God, we ought to listen to it. We are all called to bear fruit, for which we must allow the word to germinate in our heart, we've got to do our bit, to guard it and take care of it, and as the word finds roots, it will grow us to being God's own people and it is through his grace that we will bear much fruit. For then it will be less of me, and more of him.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father opens your ears, heart and mind to his word, made flesh in Christ Jesus his son. As you embrace and embody it, may it take deep root in you and become the source of all your actions. And may his Holy Spirit help you bear much fruit. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Being open to his Grace

On hearing this, Jesus said, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice.’  For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”
Matthew 9:12‭-‬13 NIV

Reflection:
It could be a dangerous zone to find oneself questioning the need to go for regular confessions and the Eucharist. And a prayer meetings or a retreat is totally out of the question. But in doing so we put ourselves away from God, assuming that we have it all on our own strength. Jesus came to give us his grace, the question is, are we open enough to receive it?

Prayer:
I prayer that God our Father helps you open your heart to receive Jesus his son. May the grace you receive be your source of peace, joy and love as you witness Christ to the world. And may his Holy Spirit be by your side at all times. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

We all need his Grace

“There were two men who owed money to a moneylender,” Jesus began. “One owed him 500 silver coins, and the other owed him fifty.  Neither of them could pay him back, so he cancelled the debts of both. Which one, then, will love him more?”  “I suppose,” answered Simon, “that it would be the one who was forgiven more.” “You are right,” said Jesus.
Luke 7:41‭-‬43 GNBDK

Reflection:
Human tendency is to always compare ourselves with another, but God has made each one of us uniquely, therefore it is not right to compare. And our need for God is because sin has separated us from God. We were all born with original sin, and hence constantly need to depend on his grace rather than our abilities.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father opens your heart to his grace, as you humbly acknowledge Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour. May his Holy Spirit teach you God's ways. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

What is Love

Love is patient and kind; it is not jealous or conceited or proud; love is not ill-mannered or selfish or irritable; love does not keep a record of wrongs; love is not happy with evil, but is happy with the truth. Love never gives up; and its faith, hope, and patience never fail.  Love is eternal.
1 Corinthians 13:4‭-‬8a GNBDK

Reflection:
While there many definitions, opinion and perspective about love. The one true meaning and explaination about love is as above. Because this comes the word of God and God himself is love.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father moves your heart to Love the way he does. May Jesus be your source of strength and love as you unconditionally accept his love for you. And may his Holy Spirit bear in you much fruit of love. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

What a Friend we have in Jesus

When the Lord saw her, his heart was filled with pity for her, and he said to her, “Don't cry.”
Luke 7:13 GNBDK

Reflection:
You might be going through a very challenging time, a loss of job, health issues, marital discord or even lack of self esteem. You might think that God is not aware of what you are going through, but that is not the truth. Jesus knows our every weakness, and at times even consoles us. But we will notice it only if we have a relationship with him. And truly he is the friend that we have the privilege to share; for all our sins and sorrows he bears.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father draws you to his son Jesus, so that you can establish your relationship with him, may you draw strength for him as you see every situation of your life in new light. And may his Holy Spirit bless you with wisdom and understanding. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Open to the Grace of God

So Jesus went with them. He was not far from the house when the centurion sent friends to say to him: “Lord, don’t trouble yourself, for I do not deserve to have you come under my roof. That is why I did not even consider myself worthy to come to you. But say the word, and my servant will be healed.
Luke 7:6‭-‬7 NIV

Reflection:
We can often feel entitled to the grace of God, but on our own we can do nothing to merit it, for grace is a gift from God. Infact most times we ourselves end up blocking this grace by giving into our ego and pride. The common thread between the Centurion, the publican and the theif on the right side of the cross, was their humility and the acknowledgement of the need for a saviour. And in doing they received God's grace in abundance. Are we then willing to receive God's grace?

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father removes all obstacles from your life as you humbly acknowledge his son Jesus as your Lord and Saviour. In doing so may you experience the richness of his grace in the abundance of your life. And may his Holy Spirit guide you along the way. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Putting God First

But Jesus turned round, looked at his disciples, and rebuked Peter. “Get away from me, Satan,” he said. “Your thoughts don't come from God but from human nature!” Then Jesus called the crowd and his disciples to him. “If anyone wants to come with me,” he told them, “he must forget self, carry his cross, and follow me.
Mark 8:33‭-‬34 GNBDK

Reflections:
Our actions precede from our thoughts, and therefore we have to be very careful about how we think. The better way of doing this, is to think what would Jesus do? And his word gives us the answer to every situation  we are in. It is in doing so that we will deny ourselves and put God first.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to humbly deny yourself as you put Jesus first in your life. In doing so, may you experience steadfast peace and joy in the depths of your heart. And may His Holy Spirit help you yeild to God as you bear much Fruit. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Mary our Mother

Jesus saw his mother and the disciple he loved standing there; so he said to his mother, “He is your son.” Then he said to the disciple, “She is your mother.” From that time the disciple took her to live in his home.
John 19:26‭-‬27 GNBDK

Reflection:
The one person who was a constant in Jesus life on earth, is his mother, Mary. She stood there watching her son die, that son who the Angel told her would save the people from their sins, was now on a cross. How deep her sorrow yet she stood by his side. And Jesus knew that she would stand by us too and through his disciple, he gave his mother to call our own. Have we then bought her home?

Prayer:
I pray that through the intercession of Mama Mary, may God our Father give you the grace to understand his ways. May Jesus be your source of Love, joy and peace. And may his Holy Spirit teach you obedience, gentleness and to be steadfast in all your ways. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

The Cross: Our sign of Victory

As Moses lifted up the bronze snake on a pole in the desert, in the same way the Son of Man must be lifted up,  so that everyone who believes in him may have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to be its judge, but to be its saviour.
John 3:14‭-‬15‭, ‬17 GNBDK

Reflection:
The cross is our sign of victory, and that was God's purpose and plan. We have all been given the gift of life,   therefore this life comes with a plan and purpose. However, on earth it is sin that distracts us from our purpose, but we have a saviour. All we need to do is to look up at his cross and acknowledge our need for salvation.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to humbly accept your need for salvation. May you look up to Jesus on the cross and accept him as your Lord and Saviour. And may his Holy Spirit give you the wisdom and understanding of God ways. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

What goes around comes around

"Do for others just what you want them to do for you. Give to others, and God will give to you. Indeed, you will receive a full measure, a generous helping, poured into your hands — all that you can hold. The measure you use for others is the one that God will use for you."
Luke 6:31‭, ‬38 GNBDK

Reflection:
How attached are we especially to material things, that we find it difficult to let go and to give? But God is calling us to a different way of life - a life of selflessness. Often we wonder how to treat the other, a good is measure is how we ourselves would like to be treated. So when we are being kind, polite and generous to another, we are setting it motion to come back to us, for what goes around comes around.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you a generous heart so that like Jesus may you willingly submit your will and may his Holy Spirit bear in you much fruit. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Set apart in Christ

Jesus looked at his disciples and said,  “Happy are you poor; the Kingdom of God is yours!
Luke 6:20 GNBDK

Reflection:
A disciple is the one who follows his/her Teacher. As Christians then we are the disciples of Christ and his teachings are particularly meant for us. So while the world may toe a different line, we, who are set apart, are called to walk in the truth, the way and life of Jesus Christ.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to accept his teachings through Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour. And may his Holy Spirit enable us to bear much fruit. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Recharge with Personal Prayer

At that time Jesus went up a hill to pray and spent the whole night there praying to God.
Luke 6:12 GNBDK

Reflection:
In our modern world today, the one thing that we'd seldom fail to do is to put our gadgets on charge. For we know if it not charged, it wont work. But as humans are we dependent on our own strength or are we recharging  with God. Jesus being the son of God leads by example and shows us the way by connecting with the Father in personal prayer. Can we then, do the same?

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father draws you to his son Jesus from who you can draw strength and inspiration to face the world and its challenges. May his Holy Spirit help and guide you through your everyday endeavours. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Called to live in Humility

It is not right for you to be proud! You know the saying, “A little bit of yeast makes the whole batch of dough rise.”
1 Corinthians 5:6 GNBDK

Reflection:
It's amazing what a little bit of yeast can do to a whole batch of dough. It makes it fluffy and appear delicious. But in reality that part of the bread is unhealthy. It is the same thing with pride. It will make us appear big in our own eyes, but eventually will lead us to our fall.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father, blesses you with the virtue of humility, so that you live in acknowledgement of Jesus Christ his son through who's grace you can do all things. And may his Holy Spirit teach you Gods ways. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)
