Led by the Spirit

"The wind blows wherever it wishes; you hear the sound it makes, but you do not know where it comes from or where it is going. It is like that with everyone who is born of the Spirit."
John 3:8 GNBDK

Reflection:
When you are born of the spirit, you walk a different path and while the world may view it as indifferent. Know that you are on the right path for God's ways are not our ways nor our our thoughts his thoughts.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to persevere in the goodness that comes from Jesus Christ his son. May all that you do be for the greater Glory of God. And may his Holy Spirit be with you in all your endeavours. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Be Born Again

Jesus answered, “I am telling you the truth: no one can see the Kingdom of God without being born again.”
John 3:3 GNBDK

Reflection:
Peter and the apostles were born again on Pentecost. So was Paul when he was on the road to Damascus. We often talk about conversions of religion, but in reality we all are called to a conversion of our hearts, a conversion from our ways to God's ways and then we will be truly born again.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to let go of the old as you embrace a new life in Jesus Christ his son. And may his Holy Spirit teach you the ways of God. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Jesus is coming again

Write, then, the things you see, both the things that are now and the things that will happen afterwards.
Revelation 1:19 GNBDK

Reflection:
Every prophecy made in the old testament was fulfilled in the coming of Jesus Christ. He came suffered and died, but he rose again from dead and as it has been revealed to us; He is coming again, this time as judge of the living and the dead. Are we even paying heed to this thought?

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to be prepare your heart to welcome Jesus Christ his son. May you detach yourself from all earthly gain knowing that eternal life is with God and my his Holy Spirit bless you with wisdom, knowledge and understanding of his word. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Sharing the Hope of Christ

But Peter and John answered them, “You yourselves judge which is right in God's sight — to obey you or to obey God. For we cannot stop speaking of what we ourselves have seen and heard.”
Acts 4:19‭-‬20 GNBDK

He said to them, "Go throughout the whole world and preach the gospel to the whole human race."
Mark 16:15 GNBDK

Reflection:
Each one of us has had some kind of Godly experience. A miracle of healing, find something that is lost, breakthroughs or even deliverance. But how many of us acknowledge God's working in our lives? The good news was always meant to be shared, let's us then do what is right in the eyes of God as we share the hope of Jesus Christ.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to share with those around you the hope and joy of Jesus Christ his son, knowing that in him is a saviour and friend. And may his Holy Spirit be with you at all times. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Time to Turn Around

Jesus asked them, “Young men, haven't you caught anything?” “Not a thing,” they answered. He said to them, “Throw your net out on the right side of the boat, and you will catch some.” So they threw the net out and could not pull it back in, because they had caught so many fish.
John 21:5‭-‬6 GNBDK

Reflection:
How many times have you felt that all your efforts and actions not yielding any fruit? Perhaps it's time you turned around and listened to what Jesus wants to tell you, just as his disciples did.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to listen to the voice of his son Jesus. May you be obedient to his word as you are led by his Holy Spirit. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

All Power and Glory to God

Humble yourselves, then, under God's mighty hand, so that he will lift you up in his own good time. And after you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who calls you to share his eternal glory in union with Christ, will himself perfect you and give you firmness, strength, and a sure foundation. To him be the power for ever! Amen.
1 Peter 5:6‭, ‬10‭-‬11 GNBDK

Reflection:
Power can only be with one and it's best that we stop thinking of ourselves as powerful, for we are just mortals. Peter denied Jesus, yet that didn't change Jesus's love for him, instead Jesus  prayed for him. Paul had a thorn in his flesh, yet was grateful to God for grace to endure it. Let us then, acknowledge all our weaknesses to our all knowing, all loving and all powerful God and his grace will suffice.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to humble and accepting of all your weaknesses. May Jesus Christ his son be your hope, help and source of grace. And may the presence of his Holy Spirit in your life be a constant reminder of God's unconditional love for you. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

In the Name of Jesus

But Peter said to him, “I have no money at all, but I give you what I have: in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth I order you to get up and walk!”
Acts 3:6 GNBDK

Reflection:
You can have all the money in the world and yet be with longing. But with Jesus you are content, for what he gives; no one can give nor take away. Are you looking for a miracle? Ask it in faith, in the name of Jesus and see for yourself.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to be thankful in every circumstance knowing that Jesus is by your side at all times. May his Holy Spirit comfort you in times of distress and lead you to gratitude in times of joy. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

23 April 2019

It is Jesus!

Then she turned round and saw Jesus standing there; but she did not know that it was Jesus.
John 20:14 GNBDK

Reflection:
How many times has the Lord worked in our lives and yet we fail to see his mighty hand in it all. Infact all we do is credit ourselves, our intelligence, our abilities. Yes all these are a gift from God, but know that you are Gods creation and our made in his image and likeness. Therefore, know that, it is his spirit that works through you.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to see his hand in all things as constant calling to you. May you be like Jesus attentive and submissive to the will of God and may his Holy Spirit be with you in all your endeavours. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

22 April 2019

Peace be with you

Suddenly Jesus met them and said, “Peace be with you.” They came up to him, took hold of his feet, and worshipped him. “Do not be afraid,” Jesus said to them. “Go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee, and there they will see me.”
Matthew 28:9‭-‬10 GNBDK

Reflection:
While the world may give you things on the outside, it's takes away a lot from within, perhaps that is why the first greeting that Jesus put out is "Peace be with you", and his peace no one can give nor take away. No matter what your circumstance is, or where you are at this point in life. Do not be afraid, assures Jesus.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you his grace and peace, which is far beyond human understanding. May it keep your hearts and minds safe in union with Christ Jesus his son and may his Holy Spirit always lead you on. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

An Easter People

You have been raised to life with Christ, so set your hearts on the things that are in heaven, where Christ sits on his throne at the right-hand side of God. Keep your minds fixed on things there, not on things here on earth.
Colossians 3:1‭-‬2 GNBDK

Reflection:
Christ came not just to die on a  cross, but to rise and raise us up too. For in our baptism we share in his death and resurrection. Life on earth is temporary, everything we do here will remain here. That said, life is gift from God and what we do with our lives becomes our gift to God. Therefore, whatever we do, let it be for the Glory of God.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to set your heart on his kingdom. May you be like Jesus relentlessly working for the Glory of God and may his Holy Spirit be with you in all your endeavours. Amen

Wishing you and your loved ones a very Happy Easter!! God Bless you all :)

Keep Calm: Its Holy Saturday

There was a garden in the place where Jesus had been put to death, and in it there was a new tomb where no one had ever been buried. Since it was the day before the Sabbath and because the tomb was close by, they placed Jesus' body there.
John 19:41‭-‬42 GNBDK

Reflection:
While there was destruction on the outside, there was calm within. As Jesus lays to rest, the spirit is at work to renew, rebuild and resurrect that which has been since the beginning of time. Just recently the world watched the Notre Dame being gutted in flames and thought this is its end. But God's ways are not our ways and just as the cross shone standing tall and firm, so will the God's church stand tall and firm in its faith.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to sustain your faith through every circumstance no matter what happens on the outside. Like Jesus may you allow his Holy Spirit to renew and  rebuild you into a new person of faith and love. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

19 April 2019

Obedient to the Father

But even though he was God's Son, he learnt through his sufferings to be obedient. When he was made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all those who obey him.
Hebrews 5:8‭-‬9 GNBDK

Reflection:
Perhaps the most difficult thing to do is to negate our ego. Because as humans everything we do has to be tangible and bring a sense pride. But Jesus, divine yet fully human, never gave into his ego and pride, but humbly accepted death, even on a cross.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to always be humble and accept his will for your life. May Jesus be your source of inspiration and strength to carry your cross and may his Holy Spirit comfort you in the knowledge of God. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

18 April 2019

Called to Humility

I, your Lord and Teacher, have just washed your feet. You, then, should wash one another's feet.
John 13:14 GNBDK

Reflection:
Just recently Pope Francis did what no other world leader would even think of doing, he kissed the feet of leader who can negotiate peace within a region. 2000 years ago Jesus set an example in humility, are we then as Christians following his teaching or do we give in to our ego and pride?

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace always to be humble know that Jesus taught us the best lesson in humility. May his Holy Spirit always guide and guard your ways. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

17 April 2019

God's way

But their insults cannot hurt me because the Sovereign LORD gives me help. I brace myself to endure them. I know that I will not be disgraced...
Isaiah 50:7 GNBDK

Reflection:
The ideologies of this world is far away from that of God. For what we seek here on here is only temporary. But when you know and understand that life is for eternity, then you will no longer chase what's impresses yourself and other, but will do what is important to God.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to discern what He wills for you so that you can follow suit of Jesus Christ his son. May his Holy Spirit always guide and guard you. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

15 April 2019

Acknowledge God's Goodness

Six days before the Passover, Jesus went to Bethany, the home of Lazarus, the man he had raised from death. They prepared a dinner for him there, which Martha helped to serve; Lazarus was one of those who were sitting at the table with Jesus.
John 12:1‭-‬2 GNBDK

Reflection:
God will always do good in our lives. And it is right to give him thanks and praise for all that He does. For in doing so we acknowledge our gratitude to God's goodness and in turn set a ripple in motion.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to always acknowledge the goodness you receive. May your heart always reach out to those in need as you walk in the ways of Jesus and may his Holy Spirit always lead you on. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

14 April 2019

God is with us at all times

“Simon, Simon! Listen! Satan has received permission to test all of you, to separate the good from the bad, as a farmer separates the wheat from the chaff. But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith will not fail. And when you turn back to me, you must strengthen your brothers.”
Luke 22:31‭-‬32 GNBDK

Reflection:
Trials and tribulations is not a sign of God's absence in one's life. In fact it's even more an assurance that God is right by your side praying for you, that your faith may remain strong. For Satan is constantly on the prowl to hunt those who are close to God.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to bear every trail and tribulations that come your way. May Jesus Christ his son be your source of strength, hope and renewed faith. And may his Holy Spirit always be by your side. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

God will keep his promise

The LORD is our God; his commands are for all the world.  He will keep his covenant for ever, his promises for a thousand generations.
Psalms 105:7‭-‬8 GNBDK

Reflection:
When times are good we are assured of God's goodness, but in difficult circumstances we think that God has gone away. But know that God will never leave you, nor forsake. He is at all times by your side. For this is his convenant made to us through Jesus Christ his son.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to trust in his word at all times, especially in difficult times knowing that your source and strength comes from Jesus his son. And may you always be comforted by his Holy Spirit. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

10 April 2019

Free in the word

So Jesus said to those who believed in him, “If you obey my teaching, you are really my disciples;  you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
John 8:31‭-‬32 GNBDK

Reflections:
When you are in the word, the word remains in you and you know the word. The world then doesn't define your will and doing, but the word of God does. Like Jesus you will willingly submit to the will of God for you are free from the slavery of this world.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to know his word made flesh in Christ Jesus his son. May his Holy Spirit bless you with wisdom and understanding in knowing the ways of God.

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

09 April 2019

Acknowledge your Sin

Jesus answered, “You belong to this world here below, but I come from above. You are from this world, but I am not from this world. That is why I told you that you will die in your sins. And you will die in your sins if you do not believe that ‘I Am Who I Am’.”
John 8:23‭-‬24 GNBDK

Reflection:
We are all sinners, irrespective of our acknowledgement of being one. The only way to the forgiveness of our sins is Jesus. Therefore we ought humbly acknowledge our sin as we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to acknowledge your sin as you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour. And may you always be led by his Holy Spirit. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

The right to Judgement

He straightened himself up and said to her, “Where are they? Is there no one left to condemn you?” “No one, sir,” she answered. “Well, then,” Jesus said, “I do not condemn you either. Go, but do not sin again.”
John 8:10‭-‬11 GNBDK

Reflection:
We can be quick to judge others, but we ought to know and remember, that only Jesus can do so, for the Father has entrusted him the right to do it. But also know that Jesus didn't come to condemn our sins, but to save us.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to accept his son Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour as he cleanses you from all your sins and may you always be lead by his Holy Spirit. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones:)

06 April 2019

Vengeance belongs to God

Then I prayed, “Almighty LORD , you are a just judge; you test people's thoughts and feelings. I have placed my cause in your hands; so let me watch you take revenge on these people.”
Jeremiah 11:20 GNBDK

Reflection:
There are times when we go through unjust situations, but rather than retaliating we are called to be submissive to God for vengeance belongs to him. And our God is a just God because only he can weigh ones thoughts and intentions. And no matter what, justice will always prevail.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to always be submissive to him just like Jesus his son. And may his Holy Spirit bless and protect you at all times. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones:)

05 April 2019

A Call to Goodness

That is how evil people think, but they are wrong. They are blinded by their own wickedness. They have never known God's secrets, never hoped for the rewards of a holy and blameless life.
Wisdom 2:21‭-‬22 GNBDK

Reflection:
It's more easier to dwell of the negatives rather than positives. Getting easily angered, harbouring resentment, vindictive thinking come easily to the human mind rather promoting peace, loving those around you and making it better for the other. But we ought to know that God's ways are not those of human ones, and sooner or later we will stand in front of God giving him an account of the ways we've pursued.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to walk his ways of love, peace and justice. May Jesus Christ his son be your source of strength and consolation. And may his Holy Spirit lead you to Holiness. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones:)

04 April 2019

Understanding God

"If you had really believed Moses, you would have believed me, because he wrote about me. But since you do not believe what he wrote, how can you believe what I say?"
John 5:46‭-‬47 GNBDK

Reflection:
Sometimes we fail to see the obvious; the Israelites did that in the land of Horeb, the Jews during the time of Jesus. And today we too are following suit. For even thou, we know the word of God yet, we choose to do our own will. How then will we stand before God at the end of our journey?

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to seek the truth about all the doubts you have in your mind. May Jesus lead you in his way, under his light to the ultimate truth in himself, setting you free. And may his Holy Spirit bless you with wisdom and love. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones:)

03 April 2019

Judgement is inevitable

Just as the Father is himself the source of life, in the same way he has made his Son to be the source of life. And he has given the Son the right to judge, because he is the Son of Man.
John 5:26‭-‬27 GNBDK

Reflection:
We all have been given life as a gift from God, but what we make of this life, is our gift to God. And sooner or later there will come a time, when we will be before the judge. What then will you present?

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to be true to your calling as you do good in the name of his son Jesus Christ. And may his Holy Spirit be with you in all your endeavours. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones:)

02 April 2019

Sickness and Sin

Afterwards, Jesus found him in the Temple and said, “Listen, you are well now; so stop sinning or something worse may happen to you.
John 5:14 GNBDK

Reflection:
Sin takes us away from God and His protection leaving our mortal bodies open to sickness and disease. Suppressing sin can be fatal and Jesus warns us through this man; that sin can do worse things to our health. Therefore walking in the light of God is the best preventive health care.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to be free all all your sinful ways and lead happy and healthy life in Christ Jesus his son. May his Holy Spirit be by your side at all times. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones:)

01 April 2019

Believe in the Word

Jesus said to him, “Go, your son will live!” The man believed Jesus' words and went.
John 4:50 GNBDK

Reflection:
God's word is so powerful, that he only has to say to word and it us done. But are we believing of God's word or is it mere text to us. Every single word in the Bible is the word of God. For In the beginning the Word already existed; the Word was with God, and the Word was God. Jn 1:1 Therefore, believe.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to trust each and every word he has made through Jesus Christ his son. Let your hearts and mind be renewed daily as you dwell in his word and  may his Holy Spirit help you discern and interpret the word of God. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones:)
