River of Life

Wherever the river goes, every living creature that swarms will live, and there will be very many fish, once these waters reach there. It will become fresh; and everything will live where the river goes.
Ezekiel 47:9 NRSV

The sick man answered him, “Sir, I have no one to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up; and while I am making my way, someone else steps down ahead of me.”
John 5:7 NRSV

Water is life, the word of God told us this much before science did. Water washes away the old and dirty, it makes fresh that was once stagnant, it breathes life. The thirsty earth is quenched by waters from the heavens and even the soldier' hardened heart was softened by the water that gushed forth from the side of Jesus. So much we know of water, but the question is; do you have the river of life within you?

I pray that stream of living waters flow from the Grace and Mercy of God our Father into your life as it leads you to his Son Jesus so that you may be washed, cleansed and healed. May his Holy Spirit nourish your growth as you bear much fruit. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Called to be Children of God

See what love the Father has given us, that we should be called children of God; and that is what we are. The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him. Beloved, we are God’s children now; what we will be has not yet been revealed. What we do know is this: when he is revealed, we will be like him, for we will see him as he is.
1 John 3: 1-2 NRSV

What a privilege it is to be called a child of God. If only we recognise who we truly are, then this world will surely be a better place, for as God’s children we would see the world as He sees it, and every man will love his neighbour just as He loves God and himself.

I pray that you know who God our Father has created you to be and that your identity is found in his son Jesus thus making you a child of God. And may you bear the fruits and gifts of His Holy Spirit. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

God lives in our Hearts

But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look on his appearance or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him; for the Lord does not see as mortals see; they look on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.”
1 Samuel 16:7 NRSV

Jesus said, “I came into this world for judgment so that those who do not see may see, and those who do see may become blind.”
John 9:39 NRSV

We are often worried about how the world sees us, and many a times, we put on an image to show of ourselves. But God is concerned with our Hearts, as He sees and knows, that what is in the innermost and deepest recess of our hearts. May we see, how Christ sees, may we see the hearts of Men, for that is where God resides.

I pray that you open your Heart to God our Father, as He gives you the grace and gift to receive his son Jesus. And may his Holy Spirit fill your heart and eyes with love. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Choosing His Will

Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Look, the young woman is with child and shall bear a son, and shall name him Immanuel.
Isaiah 7:14 NRSV

Then Mary said, “Here am I, the servant of the Lord; let it be with me according to your word.” Then the angel departed from her.
Luke 1:38 NRSV

We often want to do the right thing, but find it hard to discern. Adam and Eve had a choice, so did Mary and Jesus. While Adam and Eve chose to do as they willed, Mary and Jesus chose the will of God. We too are called to make choices, and the best choice we can make, is to choose the will of God.

I pray that you seek the will of God our Father in every area of your life, so that you can partake in His kingdom as you become his co-heir in Christ. May His Holy Spirit help you discern and choose wisely. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Knowing Gods ways

May those who are wise understand what is written here, and may they take it to heart. The LORD's ways are right, and righteous people live by following them, but sinners stumble and fall because they ignore them.
Hosea 14:9 GNB

Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’  The second most important commandment is this: ‘Love your neighbour as you love yourself.’ There is no other commandment more important than these two.”
Mark 12:30‭-‬31 GNB

In our conquest to understand God and his ways, we often tend to run pillar to post, preacher to the podium, lest we forget what Jesus himself said to his apostles at the ascension. "Remember I am with you, till the end of age". The living voice of Jesus is in the Gospels. In it, He is talking you. The only way you can validate what He says is when you find it in his word. For Jesus came not to abolish any law, but to fulfil them. And if you find yourself struggling, then journey within yourself to the empty room and pray, then " The Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in Jesus' name, will teach you everything and make you remember all God's ways.

I pray that you earnestly seek all that God our Father desires for you and may your life find fullfilment in His word, which was made flesh in Christ Jesus. And may His Holy Spirit be your helper and guide. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Lord, Teach me to be like you

Make me to know your ways, O Lord; teach me your paths.
Psalms 25:4 NRSV

Jesus said to him, “Not seven times, but, I tell you, seventy-seven times.
Matthew 18:22

The biggest temptation to Jesus was perhaps on the cross, where he was challenged not only by the ones who crucified him but even the one who hung beside him. But Jesus lived out every word he thought, As cried aloud and asked his father to forgive us all. Mercy is God's way and that is what we called to live by, being merciful just like our Father in heaven is.

I pray that God our Father draws you close to his son Jesus, who will teach you the way of God so that in all that you do, you may bear fruit and may his Holy Spirit stay close by your side. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Keep the Faith

Your house and your kingdom shall be made sure forever before me; your throne shall be established forever.
2 Samuel 7:16 NRSV

But just when he had resolved to do this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife, for the child conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit.
Matthew 1:20 NRSV

The promise made to Abraham, to David and Joseph was established in God’s time, but these men never lost hope, they only strived forward with their faith. The common thread among these men was that they knew who God was and loved God which is why their faith stood the test of time and circumstance thus establishing God’s word.

I pray that God our Father reveals to you through His son Jesus the true knowledge of knowing him. So that your faith may be established and lead you to that you were created to be. And may his Holy Spirit help you discern this truth. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Living Waters Flow On

I will be standing there in front of you on the rock at Horeb. Strike the rock, and water will come out of it, so that the people may drink.” Moses did so, in the sight of the elders of Israel.
Exodus 17:6

Jesus answered her, “If you knew the gift of God, and who it is that is saying to you, ‘Give me a drink,’ you would have asked him, and he would have given you living water.”
John 4:10

If we look closely within ourselves we'll find that we are the like the people of old. Thou bought out of slavery and have encountered Christ we still our wary of the living water He gives. Water is life and in order that we live a wholesome and holy life, we need this water to lead us. We need this water to love again.

I pray that the God our Father blesses you with life-giving water that his son Jesus assured on the day of his ascension. And may his Holy Spirit the living water, wash away all your pain and bring healing to your heart as you live once again. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

God our Father

Who is a God like you, pardoning iniquity and passing over the transgression of the remnant of your possession? He does not retain his anger forever, because he delights in showing clemency.
Micah 7:18 NRSV

But when he came to himself he said, ‘I will get up and go to my father, and I will say to him, “Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you; So he set off and went to his father. But while he was still far off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion; he ran and put his arms around him and kissed him.
Luke 15: 17-18, 20 NRSV

One of the most riveting parables in the Bible, this gospel of the prodigal son, tells us about the love of God our Father, He is a Father whose anger does not retain forever, but delights in Mercy.  He is Father who will come down to meet you at you prodigal road, He will come with a ring and a robe. But it is you, who has to come to yourself, get up and go to Him.

I pray that God our Father gives you the grace, to leave your old self behind as you walk in the new light of his Son Jesus returning to life, in all it’s abundance. May his Holy Spirit give you the courage, wisdom and understanding to all that is desired of you. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

For His Glory

Now Israel loved Joseph more than any other of his children
Genesis 37:3

He had sent a man ahead of them, Joseph, who was sold as a slave.
Psalm 105:17

Finally he sent his son to them, saying, ‘They will respect my son.’
Matthew 21:37

There is a lot of similarity in the life of Joseph, the dreamer and Jesus, both the beloved of their fathers, were sent for the welfare of their kin, both were conspired against, accused falsely, sold for silver, provided for the needs of people and yet nobody recognised them. Which tells us, that we too are here on purpose, to play our part in the salvation story. For God, our Father has blessed each one of us with gifts and talents and sent us here on earth, for his glory.

I pray that God our Father draws you closer to his son Jesus so your life’s purpose is revealed to you. And as you accept God’s will in your life, may his Holy Spirit guard and guide you along the way. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

See Within

I the Lord test the mind and search the heart, to give to all according to their ways, according to the fruit of their doings.
Jeremiah 17:10

He said to him, ‘If they do not listen to Moses and the prophets, neither will they be convinced even if someone rises from the dead.’
Luke 16:31

We often do things because we are motivated to do so, but have we questioned where does this motivation come from or what is the intent of what we are doing. Be very clear, for God sees within our hearts and minds. What Abraham, Moses, Elijah preached, was fulfilled by Christ. He came to save and not condemn, therefore repent and believe for Christ has risen from the Dead.

I pray that God our Father finds your heart and mind on his son Jesus, and give you the grace to emulate him in every step and walk of life. May his Holy Spirit be at your side always. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

15 March 2017

What would Jesus do?

Into your hand I commit my spirit; you have redeemed me, O Lord, faithful God.
Psalms 31:5

“And whoever wishes to be first among you must be your slave; just as the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life a ransom for many.”
Matthew 20:27-28

It is very clear the sin that God hates the most is Pride, satan was thrown out of heaven for the very same reason. How can we free ourselves from the clutches of pride in the world that gives more importance to ‘I’. You simply go deep within and ask yourself a question, “What would Jesus do?” You’d only get the answer if you really know who Jesus is. The same Jesus who came to serve and not to be served.

I pray that God our Father gives you the grace and humility to accept his son Jesus as you walk in the way, the truth and the life knowing fully, that you are lead by your maker. And may his Holy Spirit give you a discerning heart and right judgement in all things. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Teach Me Your Ways

If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land; but if you refuse and rebel, you shall be devoured by the sword; for the mouth of the Lord has spoken.
Isaiah 1:19-20 NRSV

“The scribes and the Pharisees sit on Moses’ seat; therefore, do whatever they teach you and follow it; but do not do as they do, for they do not practice what they teach.”
Matthew 23:2-3 NRSV

It is very easy to preach, but most difficult to put into practice all that is thought. Imagine you being told that you have to love your neighbour, but the very person who told you that is having issues at home. Why would you even believe? because Jesus said so. He loved everyone, even till his last breath on the cross, as He prayed for forgiveness for those crucifying him.  The law of God will never change, what can and should change, is your heart. Therefore if you are genuinely poor in spirit, you shall see God.

I pray that God our Loving Father gives you the grace to be poor in spirit so that you may be lead by His son Jesus and in all humility accept all that has been willed for you embracing the promised life of Abundance. And may his Holy Spirit teach you his precepts as you keep them all in your heart. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

13 March 2017

Be like your Heavenly Father

I prayed to the Lord my God and made confession, saying, “Ah, Lord, great and awesome God, keeping covenant and steadfast love with those who love you and keep your commandments
Daniel 9:1

Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful. “Do not judge, and you will not be judged; do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven”
Luke 6:36-37

Our covenant with God is since the beginning of creation, for we were created out of an overflowing love. God created us in His image and likeness, so it is but natural that we ought to reflect that image and likeness. And that is what Christ is urging us to be like: Full of Love, Merciful and Forgiving. For that is how, our Heavenly Father is.

I pray that God our Father pours out on you His grace so that you can be like Him as you walk in the way shown by His son Jesus. And may His Holy Spirit be your good counsel and guide. Amen

God Bless your and your loved ones :)

Allow God to Transform You

Now the Lord said to Abram, “Go from your country and your kindred and your father’s house to the land that I will show you.
Genesis 12:1

And he was transfigured before them, and his face shone like the sun, and his clothes became dazzling white.
Matthew 17:2

Our lives are a gift from God, and what we make of it is our gift to him. However, it is He who has made us, and He who made us knows why He has made us, therefore the best gift to him would be to give him back our current selves and allow him to transform us so that we may truly live our purpose here on earth.

I pray that God our Father in his grace transforms your life as you accept his son Jesus as the Lord and Saviour of your life. And may His Holy Spirit give you courage to accept, the wisdom to understand and the strength to walk in God’s way. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

11 March 2017

Are You Willing?

Today the Lord has obtained your agreement: to be his treasured people, as he promised you, and to keep his commandments.
Deuteronomy 26:18

But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be children of your Father in heaven; for he makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the righteous and on the unrighteous.
Matthew 5:44-45

Everybody wants to go to heaven but nobody wants to die. As ironic as this line seems, it is a stark truth in reality. For the only way, we can go to heaven is when we die to ourselves and live the life God wants us to. And know that, it’s not easy, but it’s not impossible too. All you need is a willing heart and God’s grace will be sufficient.

I pray that God our Father reveals to you your identity in Christ Jesus so that you may know your true calling as you give up your old ways and be lead by His Holy Spirit to the streams of Eternal Life. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

God is Just

Yet you say, “The way of the Lord is unfair.” Hear now, O house of Israel: Is my way unfair? Is it not your ways that are unfair?
Ezekiel 18:25 NRSV

Leave your gift there before the altar and go; first, be reconciled to your brother or sister, and then come and offer your gift.
Matthew 5:24 NRSV

You cannot please God by putting on a facade, for God knows your innermost being.  You were created by God, and given a free will, to choose him or the world. Now what you do with that free will is your own doing, and for everything you do, there is a consequence, because God’s ways are not like your ways and He is a just God.

I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to know him more as you follow the true light and in the way of His Son Christ Jesus. And may His Holy Spirit lead you to choose what God wills for you. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Ask, Ask, Ask...

And she prayed to the Lord God of Israel, and said: “O my Lord, thou only art our King; help me, who am alone and have no helper but thee”
Esther C: 14:3 RSVCE

“Ask, and it will be given you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.  For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.”
Matthew 7:7-8 RSVCE

As a child, you asked your parents/elders everything you wanted, it didn't matter whether you actually understood what you were asking for or if it were in their means or not, you simply asked. In the garden of Gethsemane, even Jesus asked His Father, to take his cup away, yet he concluded with allowing His Father’s will to be done. So why do we stop short of asking God our Father; Ask, ask, ask but in all humility be open to what the Father wills for you.

I pray that God our Father gives you the grace and humility to ask for all that you want, like Jesus may you be open to accepting all that He wills for you. And may His Holy Spirit give you wisdom and understanding to all that you need. Amen

God Bless you and yours loved ones :)

Happy Women's Day

Deep Within

Create in me a clean heart, O God, and put a new and right spirit within me Do not cast me away from your presence, and do not take your holy spirit from me.
Psalms 51:10-11 NRSV

For just as Jonah became a sign to the people of Nineveh, so the Son of Man will be to this generation.
Luke 11:30 NRSV

Jesus built his Church two thousand years ago and her teaching has remained constant right from Peter to Pope Francis. But the biggest gift Christ gave us, is the gift of the Holy Spirit, which we receive at our baptism and is with us, guiding us throughout our lives. We all want signs from God, but have we paid heed to the voice that comes from deep within?

I pray that God our Father in His Mercy, pour out on you his Grace that you may be lead by His Holy Spirit and like Jesus may you be open and willing to all that the Father wills for you. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones.
