Called to Live by Faith
Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Why are you frightened? Have you still no faith?”
Mark 4:40 GNBDK
Reflection:
Whether it is a miracle, a healing or in preaching; Jesus always spoke about faith. For our faith is the measure of our trust and confidence in God in our Tangible World. For we are called to live by Faith and not by sight (2 Cor 5:7)
Prayer:
I pray that God our Father through his Grace increases your Faith so that you can be like Jesus his son. And may His Holy Spirit stir your heart and enable you to walk in faith. Amen
God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Create in me Lord a Pure Heart
For I know my transgressions, and my sin is always before me. Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.
Psalm 51:3, 10 NIV
"It is like a mustard seed, which is the smallest of all seeds on earth. Yet when planted, it grows and becomes the largest of all garden plants, with such big branches that the birds can perch in its shade."
Mark 4:31-32 NIV
Reflection:
When we are open to the word of God, it becomes alive within us without us knowing. It makes us aware of who we really are, Who God is, and our relationship with Him and God will use this growth for his purpose.
Prayer:
I pray that God our Father sows his word made flesh in Jesus his son deep within your being, so that you grow in God's wisdom and maturity. May his Holy Spirit til your heart and being enabling you to bear good fruit. Amen
God Bless you and your loved ones :)

By Love and Action we are Christian
He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.
Mark 16:15-16 NIV
Reflection:
What we believe in, Jesus wants us to put it into action, that's is why He wants us baptised. Similarly while we share the word of God, it is best done through our actions, as we love God with all mind, heart and strength. And love our neighbor as ourselves.
Prayer:
I pray that God our Father pours on you his Grace so that you can walk in the ways of Jesus his son for the world will know you are Christian by your Love and actions. And may His Holy Spirit be your guide at all times. Amen
God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Bearing Good Fruit
"Others, like seed sown on good soil, hear the word, accept it, and produce a crop—some thirty, some sixty, some a hundred times what was sown."
Mark 4:20 NIV
Reflection:
One has to keep his heart and mind open for the word to sink deep within our being, thus making it like good soil. As we accept the word which is bought to life by his Spirit, we are enabled to bear fruit a hundred times.
Prayer:
I pray that God our Father pours out his Grace on you as you keep you heart and mind open to receive his word, made flesh in Christ Jesus his son. May you emulate Jesus in every sphere of your life bringing joy and peace to all as you are enabled by his Holy Spirit. Amen
God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Let your will be done
"Whoever does God’s will is my brother and sister and mother."
Mark 3:35 NIV
Reflections:
The priority in Jesus life has always been doing God's will, right from the time he was small and found in the temple to the time he cried in the garden of Gethsemane, 'Not mine but thy will be done'. And if we want to be a part of Jesus' life then we ought to prioritize God's will for our lives.
Prayer:
I pray that you submit to God our Father accepting his will for your life and as you emulate Jesus his son. May you be enriched with the Fruits, Gifts and Charism of his Holy Spirit. Amen
God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Be open to God
“I assure you that people can be forgiven all their sins and all the evil things they may say. But whoever says evil things against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven, because he has committed an eternal sin.”
Mark 3:28-29 GNBDK
Reflection:
While there is no sin that God cannot forgive. Jesus warns of a sin that cannot be forgiven. Perhaps the understanding of that is in the rejection God's forgiveness our sin. Forgiveness is a gift that pours out from God's Mercy. And we ought to be open to receiving it.
Prayer:
I pray that God our Father, pours out on you generously his Love and Mercy as you encounter Christ and willingly accept him as you Lord and Saviour. May his Holy Spirit help you discern yours thoughts, words and deeds. Amen
God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Heeding God's Call
Jesus said to them, “Come with me, and I will teach you to catch people.” At once they left their nets and went with him.
Mark 1:17-18 GNBDK
Reflection:
We sometimes are waiting on God's call, but today's Gospel tells us that God will come looking for us where we are doing our bit. It could be the thing we love the most but can we respond to God like the disciples did 'at once'.
Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the desires of your heart so that you can live each day by doing the things that bring Glory to God. And may your heart always be open to respond to Jesus's call at once as you are guided by his Holy Spirit. Amen
God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Let his face shine on you
Turn us again to yourself, O God. Make your face shine down upon us. Only then will we be saved.
Psalms 80:3 NLT
Reflection:
We turn to God not just in need, but at all times we ought to give him Thanks and Praise...
Prayer:
I pray that God our Father shows your his abundant favor in the face of Christ Jesus from whom you can draw strength to live the Gospel life. May his Holy Spirit be with you in all your endeavors. Amen
God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Be Open to God's Direction
And he chose twelve, whom he named apostles. “I have chosen you to be with me,” he told them. “I will also send you out to preach, and you will have authority to drive out demons.”
Mark 3:14-15 GNBDK
Reflections:
The Apostle's were chosen by Christ and He gave them authority to preach and drive out demons. Most times we want to do things for God, but God has a purpose for each one of us, all we need, is to be open to his direction. And in that we will find the true meaning and purpose of our life.
Prayer:
I pray that God our Father draws you to his son Jesus as you submit your will to God. May you find what you've been looking for as you walk the narrow way as a true Disciple of Christ. And may His Holy Spirit be with you along the way. Amen
God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Encountering Jesus
And whenever the people who had evil spirits in them saw him, they would fall down before him and scream, “You are the Son of God!”
Mark 3:11 GNBDK
Reflection:
The Gospel tells us that even the evil Spirits acknowledged Jesus as 'Son of God'. Then what it is, that stops us from proclaiming him. Perhaps it is an encounter that we want, but closer look within, will show us that Jesus has been there in all our need.
Prayer:
I pray that God our Father pours out on you his Grace so that you can see his son Jesus in your life and have a fresh encounter with him this day. And may His Holy Spirit enable you to listen to his voice. Amen
God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Faith in God
The LORD has saved me from lions and bears; he will save me from this Philistine.” “All right,” Saul answered. “Go, and the LORD be with you.”
1 Samuel 17:37 GNBDK
Reflection:
David didn't not bank on the king who was with him, nor on his strength. David's confidence came from his faith in God. The Lord had saved him before, He knew the Lord would be with Him. Can we be like David and walk in confidence with Faith in God knowing the mighty things he has done for us...
Prayer:
I pray that you walk in absolute confidence with Faith in God our Father who is establishing your path along the truth, the way and the life found in Jesus his son. May his Holy Spirit always be with you. Amen
God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Value of Human Life
But the LORD said to him, “I do not judge as people judge. They look at the outward appearance, but I look at the heart.”
1 Samuel 16:7 GNBDK
And Jesus concluded, “The Sabbath was made for the good of human beings; they were not made for the Sabbath.
Mark 2:27 GNBDK
Reflection:
Our world has become so materialistic in every sense, that we've seem to have lost the value of Human life. We see people for what they have or what they've done. We fail to see them as God's creation of his image and likeness. And that is what Jesus reminds us in today's Gospel.
Prayer:
I pray that God our Father enables you to look at the world just as He does, so that like Jesus you too can reach out in love and compassion doing the will of the Father. May his Holy Spirit walk beside you as you endeavour to do God's will. Amen
God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Obedience
Samuel said, “Which does the LORD prefer: obedience or offerings and sacrifices? It is better to obey him than to sacrifice the best sheep to him.
1 Samuel 15:22 GNBDK
Reflection:
What displeases God is disobedience and that began in the Garden of Eden. While we might think that offering a sacrifice will please him, had we obeyed him they wouldn't be a need for a sacrifice.
Prayer:
I pray that you submit yourself willingly to God our Father as you obey his word made flesh in Jesus his son. May His Holy Spirit give you the wisdom, understanding and a submissive heart. Amen
God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Experiencing Christ
“Come and see,” he answered. (It was about 4 O'Clock) So they went with him and saw where he lived, and spent the rest of that day with him. At once he found his brother Simon and told him, “We have found the Messiah.” (This word means “Christ”.)
John 1:39, 41 GNBDK
Reflection:
There were many prophecies of the coming of Jesus and He came bringing the love of God our Father. Yet it is only those who accepted his invitation and experienced Him understood that Jesus is the Messiah. The Christ they all have been waiting for.
Prayer:
I pray that you keep your heart open to the calling from God our Father as you experience a new life in Jesus Christ his son. May his Holy Spirit reveal to you his voice and the path you must tread. Amen
God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Dealing with those who have fallen
On hearing this, Jesus said to them, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”
Mark 2:17 NIV
Reflection:
There is seldom any account of Jesus condemning a sinner. In fact most times he is defending them. And this shows us that Jesus came to save and not condemn. As Christians then, how do we deal with those who have fallen? Do we pick them up giving them a chance or do we push them down further?
Prayer:
I pray that God our Father renews your heart to be like his, so that like Jesus you may draw his people to him by lifting them up in prayer and deed. And may His Holy Spirit help you see the world with eyes and a heart of Love. Amen
God Bless you and your loved ones :)

In Prayer
Four men arrived carrying a paralyzed man on a mat. Seeing their faith, Jesus said to the paralyzed man, “My child, your sins are forgiven
Mark 2:3, 5 NLT
Reflection:
Many a times we are requested for prayers, because the ones requesting know our faith, and pray we must for God sees our Heart, Faith and Intention and answers the prayer.
Prayer:
I pray that you earnestly open your heart in prayer to God our Father. May Jesus our Lord and Saviour answer all your prayers and may His Holy Spirit help you accept God's will. Amen
God Bless you and your loved ones :)

God is Willing
A man with leprosy came and knelt in front of Jesus, begging to be healed. “If you are willing, you can heal me and make me clean,” he said. Moved with compassion, Jesus reached out and touched him. “I am willing,” he said. “Be healed!”
Mark 1:40-41 NLT
Reflection:
Often times we think that everything that happens in our life is God intended. There is a higher purpose, but many of our situations are the results of our choices. However, we have a God of Compassion and Love. All we need to do is submit our will to His.
Prayer:
I pray that God our Father transforms your heart to be open to his Grace through his son Jesus who is knocking at its door. May his Holy Spirit move you to call out to God and submit to him every will and intention. Amen
God Bless you and your loved ones :)

A Relationship with God
Now Samuel did not yet know the Lord: The word of the Lord had not yet been revealed to him.
1 Samuel 3:7 NIV
Very early the next morning, long before daylight, Jesus got up and left the house. He went out of the town to a lonely place, where he prayed.
Mark 1:35 GNBDK
Reflection:
A relationship is always established and one ought to give it time to build. We all want to hear God speak to us, but how much of our time are we giving him, to hear him out. Even Jesus took time out to connect to God our Father. What are we waiting for?
Prayer:
I pray that you wholeheartedly establish a relationship with God our Father, just like Jesus did as you prioritize this relationship. May his Holy Spirit reveal the word of God to you as you firmly establish your relationship with God in humble prayer and surrender. Amen
God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Authority in the Word of God
The people were all so amazed that they asked each other, “What is this? A new teaching—and with authority! He even gives orders to impure spirits and they obey him.”
Mark 1:27 NIV
Reflection:
The first step we took as lil babies was shaky and needed a lot of support, but now we walk as if we were always meant to run. When we allow the word of God to grow and take life into to us,something similar happens, we understand ourselves, the image and likeness we are created in and the authority given to us.
Prayer:
I pray that God our Father reveals to you his word made flesh in Christ Jesus his son as you immerse yourself learning and living it. And may His Holy Spirit guide you with understanding and wisdom. Amen
God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Baptism by the Holy Spirit
"I baptize you with water, but he will baptize you with the Holy Spirit."
Mark 1:8 NIV
Reflection:
While we all are baptised as Christians, most times because we are born in a Christian family, there comes a point in time where the grace of God draws us close to him giving us a real experience with God in a new found baptism.
Prayer:
I pray that God our Father, pours out his Grace on you to draw you closer to his son Jesus so that you can experience God like never before as you are baptised by His Holy Spirit. Amen
God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Seek to Find
On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh.
Matthew 2:11 NIV
Reflection:
We have to seek God to find Him, there ought to be a deep desire to find him. And when we do, we give him ourselves. And God wants your imperfection to make it perfect with his unconditional Love, Mercy and Grace.
Prayer:
I pray that God our Father ignites a burning desire in your heart to seek him. May you submit yourself like Jesus did, willingly and totally. And may His Holy Spirit bear in you it's Fruits and Gifts. Amen
God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Say Yes to Jesus
And there came a voice from heaven, saying, Thou art my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
Mark 1:11 KJV
Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.
1 John 5:12 NIV
Reflection:
God made man but man displeased Him in disobedience. So God send down his only son to redeem man that is why we need God's grace poured out through Jesus.
Prayer:
I pray that you humbly receive the grace and blessings God our Father pours out through Jesus his son. May his Holy Spirit prepare your heart, mind, body and soul to receive him. Amen
God Bless you and your loved ones :)

In Truth and Action
Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.
1 John 3:18 NIV
Reflection:
Jesus is the word of God, but this word was made flesh and this flesh was crucified for our salvation. This is love in action and in truth. As followers of Christ let us ask ourselves; Are we loving in truth and action?
Prayer:
I pray that God our Father stirs your heart to be more like Jesus, so that you can live your faith in Truth and Action. May his Holy Spirit go before you, guiding and guarding your path. Amen
God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Come and See
“Come and see,” he answered. (It was then about four o'clock in the afternoon.) So they went with him and saw where he lived, and spent the rest of that day with him.
John 1:39 GNBDK
Reflection:
Jesus loves each one of us beyond our imagination, and that love will never change. However, this love is not compelling, in fact Jesus invites us to 'Come and See'. The choice is with us.
Prayer:
I pray that you accept the invitation of God our Father through Jesus his son, so that you can experience the joy and fullness of the eternal divinity. And may His Holy Spirit stir your heart to say Yes. Amen
God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Love of God
“The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel” (which means “God with us”).
Matthew 1:23 NIV
Reflection:
God has always been with us because we were created by and for Him, yet man chose the prodigal way and separated himself. But God being God came to earth in the Human form of Jesus. Only to let us know that He is and will always be with us.
Prayer:
I pray that you open your heart to the love God our Father pours out through the passion of his son Jesus, who confessed his love for you on the cross. And may His Holy Spirit stir your heart and renew you to new life in God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Amen
God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Abide in God
But as for you, Christ has poured out his Spirit on you. As long as his Spirit remains in you, you do not need anyone to teach you. For his Spirit teaches you about everything, and what he teaches is true, not false. Obey the Spirit's teaching, then, and remain in union with Christ.
1 John 2:27 GNBDK
Reflection:
We often hear in the Gospels that Jesus was led by the Spirit. But he was led because He abided in God. There are mysteries of God that we might not comprehend in a lifetime, however when we allow God to abide in us, there is always a sense of direction.
Prayer:
I pray that you submit to the Grace God our Father pours out as you abide in the word made flesh in Christ Jesus his son. And may you always walk as you are led by his Holy Spirit. Amen
God Bless you and your loved ones :)
