God works through his word

Jesus said, “Do you believe just because I told you I saw you when you were under the fig tree? You will see much greater things than this!”
John 1:50 GNBDK

Reflection:
Have you experienced and believed God's work in your life, it may be help at the right time, or healing from sickness, or things falling into place. These are signs that God's word is working through you. And God's word also states that, there are much greater things to come. All we need is to be faithful to our God.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father opens your heart to his word made flesh in Christ Jesus his son. May you always be faithful to God as you depend on his grace and are strengthened by his Holy Spirit. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

In His Time

He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.
Ecclesiastes 3:11 NIV

Reflection:
Look back and see where you started out to where you have come, and try connecting the dots. You will find that everything makes sense, and no matter where you are at this point in time, know that, this is not the end. For when you leave everything in God's hands, he makes all things beautiful, in his time.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father opens your eyes to see his grace in your life. May you always be aware that Jesus took away your sin and set you free for all eternity. And may his Holy Spirit reveal to you the mighty works of God in your life. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Live Life Well

Generations come and generations go, but the world stays just the same
Ecclesiastes 1:4 GNBDK

Reflection:
When you first look at a group photograph, you will look for and at yourself first, rather than photo itself, but that is human nature. Contrary to that is divine nature that empties itself out selflessly. Life is too short to be marooned by gloom and negativity, imploring his grace we are all called to an abundant life.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father opens the eyes of your heart to see the abundant life he has called you to in Christ Jesus his son. May you always walk in his light assisted by his Holy Spirit. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Remain in the word of God

"God keeps every promise he makes. He is like a shield for all who seek his protection."
Proverbs 30:5 GNBDK

Reflection:
God speaks to us through his word, the more we want to hear him, the more we ought to remain his word. And God will fulfill all his promises in His time. Mary was the only one who did not run away from Jesus because she bore the word in her womb and her heart. And that is what kept her grounded in her faith from the start.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father draws you to his word, made flesh in Jesus Christ his son. As you a accept him while heartedly may you experience steadfastness in your faith. And may his Holy Spirit teach you with wisdom and give you the understanding of God's ways. Amen

God Bless you and your ones :)

Called to Obey

You may think that everything you do is right, but remember that the LORD judges your motives. Do what is right and fair; that pleases the LORD more than bringing him sacrifices.
Proverbs 21:2‭-‬3 GNBDK

Reflection:
The biggest gift that we can give God is the gift of obedience. And it is in obeying him that we partake in his plan for salvation. God has given us the gift of life, just as he gave Adam, but Adam went astray in disobedience, so God sent down his only son Jesus who was obedient even to death on a cross, so that we could be saved. Can we then deny ourselves and carry our own cross in obedience?

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to be obedient to his word made flesh in Jesus Christ his son. As you walk in the way, the truth and the light may his Holy Spirit help you to have more of him. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

The gift of Faith

“People do not light a lamp and cover it with a bowl or put it under a bed. Instead, they put it on the lampstand, so that people will see the light as they come in. “Be careful, then, how you listen; because those who have something will be given more, but those who have nothing will have taken away from them even the little they think they have.”
Luke 8:16‭, ‬18 GNBDK

Reflection:
Your faith is a gift from God, and through it you act in accordance, being a light to those around you. When we are open to God's ways, He leads us to where we ought to go, and when we are open to his word, He gives us the understanding to it.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the gift of faith as you open your heart to him. May Jesus his son help you to see the world in new light, as you bear witness to your faith. And may his Holy Spirit teach you God's ways. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Depend on the grace of God

Where do all the fights and quarrels among you come from? They come from your desires for pleasure, which are constantly fighting within you.
James 4:1 GNBDK

Reflection:
An unrest with another on deeper level is unrest within our own self. As human beings we will always be dependent on the grace of God, to stay away from sin, for sin itself is pleasurable and always inviting. And the flesh is always craving to satisfy itself. Perhaps that is why Jesus says 'deny yourself and take up your cross'. And one can only do this by the grace of God.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father opens your heart to his grace as you unconditionally accept his son Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour. In doing so may you find steadfast peace and joy in the abundance of life. And may his Holy Spirit guide you through your journey. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Word of God

And some seeds fell in good soil; the plants grew and produced corn, 100 grains each.” And Jesus concluded, “Listen, then, if you have ears!” The seeds that fell in good soil stand for those who hear the message and retain it in a good and obedient heart, and they persist until they bear fruit.
Luke 8:8‭, 15 GNBDK

Reflection:
While we hear the word of God, we ought to listen to it. We are all called to bear fruit, for which we must allow the word to germinate in our heart, we've got to do our bit, to guard it and take care of it, and as the word finds roots, it will grow us to being God's own people and it is through his grace that we will bear much fruit. For then it will be less of me, and more of him.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father opens your ears, heart and mind to his word, made flesh in Christ Jesus his son. As you embrace and embody it, may it take deep root in you and become the source of all your actions. And may his Holy Spirit help you bear much fruit. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Being open to his Grace

On hearing this, Jesus said, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice.’  For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”
Matthew 9:12‭-‬13 NIV

Reflection:
It could be a dangerous zone to find oneself questioning the need to go for regular confessions and the Eucharist. And a prayer meetings or a retreat is totally out of the question. But in doing so we put ourselves away from God, assuming that we have it all on our own strength. Jesus came to give us his grace, the question is, are we open enough to receive it?

Prayer:
I prayer that God our Father helps you open your heart to receive Jesus his son. May the grace you receive be your source of peace, joy and love as you witness Christ to the world. And may his Holy Spirit be by your side at all times. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

We all need his Grace

“There were two men who owed money to a moneylender,” Jesus began. “One owed him 500 silver coins, and the other owed him fifty.  Neither of them could pay him back, so he cancelled the debts of both. Which one, then, will love him more?”  “I suppose,” answered Simon, “that it would be the one who was forgiven more.” “You are right,” said Jesus.
Luke 7:41‭-‬43 GNBDK

Reflection:
Human tendency is to always compare ourselves with another, but God has made each one of us uniquely, therefore it is not right to compare. And our need for God is because sin has separated us from God. We were all born with original sin, and hence constantly need to depend on his grace rather than our abilities.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father opens your heart to his grace, as you humbly acknowledge Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour. May his Holy Spirit teach you God's ways. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

What is Love

Love is patient and kind; it is not jealous or conceited or proud; love is not ill-mannered or selfish or irritable; love does not keep a record of wrongs; love is not happy with evil, but is happy with the truth. Love never gives up; and its faith, hope, and patience never fail.  Love is eternal.
1 Corinthians 13:4‭-‬8a GNBDK

Reflection:
While there many definitions, opinion and perspective about love. The one true meaning and explaination about love is as above. Because this comes the word of God and God himself is love.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father moves your heart to Love the way he does. May Jesus be your source of strength and love as you unconditionally accept his love for you. And may his Holy Spirit bear in you much fruit of love. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

What a Friend we have in Jesus

When the Lord saw her, his heart was filled with pity for her, and he said to her, “Don't cry.”
Luke 7:13 GNBDK

Reflection:
You might be going through a very challenging time, a loss of job, health issues, marital discord or even lack of self esteem. You might think that God is not aware of what you are going through, but that is not the truth. Jesus knows our every weakness, and at times even consoles us. But we will notice it only if we have a relationship with him. And truly he is the friend that we have the privilege to share; for all our sins and sorrows he bears.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father draws you to his son Jesus, so that you can establish your relationship with him, may you draw strength for him as you see every situation of your life in new light. And may his Holy Spirit bless you with wisdom and understanding. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Open to the Grace of God

So Jesus went with them. He was not far from the house when the centurion sent friends to say to him: “Lord, don’t trouble yourself, for I do not deserve to have you come under my roof. That is why I did not even consider myself worthy to come to you. But say the word, and my servant will be healed.
Luke 7:6‭-‬7 NIV

Reflection:
We can often feel entitled to the grace of God, but on our own we can do nothing to merit it, for grace is a gift from God. Infact most times we ourselves end up blocking this grace by giving into our ego and pride. The common thread between the Centurion, the publican and the theif on the right side of the cross, was their humility and the acknowledgement of the need for a saviour. And in doing they received God's grace in abundance. Are we then willing to receive God's grace?

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father removes all obstacles from your life as you humbly acknowledge his son Jesus as your Lord and Saviour. In doing so may you experience the richness of his grace in the abundance of your life. And may his Holy Spirit guide you along the way. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Putting God First

But Jesus turned round, looked at his disciples, and rebuked Peter. “Get away from me, Satan,” he said. “Your thoughts don't come from God but from human nature!” Then Jesus called the crowd and his disciples to him. “If anyone wants to come with me,” he told them, “he must forget self, carry his cross, and follow me.
Mark 8:33‭-‬34 GNBDK

Reflections:
Our actions precede from our thoughts, and therefore we have to be very careful about how we think. The better way of doing this, is to think what would Jesus do? And his word gives us the answer to every situation  we are in. It is in doing so that we will deny ourselves and put God first.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to humbly deny yourself as you put Jesus first in your life. In doing so, may you experience steadfast peace and joy in the depths of your heart. And may His Holy Spirit help you yeild to God as you bear much Fruit. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Mary our Mother

Jesus saw his mother and the disciple he loved standing there; so he said to his mother, “He is your son.” Then he said to the disciple, “She is your mother.” From that time the disciple took her to live in his home.
John 19:26‭-‬27 GNBDK

Reflection:
The one person who was a constant in Jesus life on earth, is his mother, Mary. She stood there watching her son die, that son who the Angel told her would save the people from their sins, was now on a cross. How deep her sorrow yet she stood by his side. And Jesus knew that she would stand by us too and through his disciple, he gave his mother to call our own. Have we then bought her home?

Prayer:
I pray that through the intercession of Mama Mary, may God our Father give you the grace to understand his ways. May Jesus be your source of Love, joy and peace. And may his Holy Spirit teach you obedience, gentleness and to be steadfast in all your ways. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

The Cross: Our sign of Victory

As Moses lifted up the bronze snake on a pole in the desert, in the same way the Son of Man must be lifted up,  so that everyone who believes in him may have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to be its judge, but to be its saviour.
John 3:14‭-‬15‭, ‬17 GNBDK

Reflection:
The cross is our sign of victory, and that was God's purpose and plan. We have all been given the gift of life,   therefore this life comes with a plan and purpose. However, on earth it is sin that distracts us from our purpose, but we have a saviour. All we need to do is to look up at his cross and acknowledge our need for salvation.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to humbly accept your need for salvation. May you look up to Jesus on the cross and accept him as your Lord and Saviour. And may his Holy Spirit give you the wisdom and understanding of God ways. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

What goes around comes around

"Do for others just what you want them to do for you. Give to others, and God will give to you. Indeed, you will receive a full measure, a generous helping, poured into your hands — all that you can hold. The measure you use for others is the one that God will use for you."
Luke 6:31‭, ‬38 GNBDK

Reflection:
How attached are we especially to material things, that we find it difficult to let go and to give? But God is calling us to a different way of life - a life of selflessness. Often we wonder how to treat the other, a good is measure is how we ourselves would like to be treated. So when we are being kind, polite and generous to another, we are setting it motion to come back to us, for what goes around comes around.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you a generous heart so that like Jesus may you willingly submit your will and may his Holy Spirit bear in you much fruit. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Set apart in Christ

Jesus looked at his disciples and said,  “Happy are you poor; the Kingdom of God is yours!
Luke 6:20 GNBDK

Reflection:
A disciple is the one who follows his/her Teacher. As Christians then we are the disciples of Christ and his teachings are particularly meant for us. So while the world may toe a different line, we, who are set apart, are called to walk in the truth, the way and life of Jesus Christ.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to accept his teachings through Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour. And may his Holy Spirit enable us to bear much fruit. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Recharge with Personal Prayer

At that time Jesus went up a hill to pray and spent the whole night there praying to God.
Luke 6:12 GNBDK

Reflection:
In our modern world today, the one thing that we'd seldom fail to do is to put our gadgets on charge. For we know if it not charged, it wont work. But as humans are we dependent on our own strength or are we recharging  with God. Jesus being the son of God leads by example and shows us the way by connecting with the Father in personal prayer. Can we then, do the same?

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father draws you to his son Jesus from who you can draw strength and inspiration to face the world and its challenges. May his Holy Spirit help and guide you through your everyday endeavours. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Called to live in Humility

It is not right for you to be proud! You know the saying, “A little bit of yeast makes the whole batch of dough rise.”
1 Corinthians 5:6 GNBDK

Reflection:
It's amazing what a little bit of yeast can do to a whole batch of dough. It makes it fluffy and appear delicious. But in reality that part of the bread is unhealthy. It is the same thing with pride. It will make us appear big in our own eyes, but eventually will lead us to our fall.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father, blesses you with the virtue of humility, so that you live in acknowledgement of Jesus Christ his son through who's grace you can do all things. And may his Holy Spirit teach you Gods ways. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Be not Afraid

Tell everyone who is discouraged, “Be strong and don't be afraid! God is coming to your rescue, coming to punish your enemies.”
Isaiah 35:4 GNBDK

Reflection:
The cares and troubles of life can surely weigh us down, but we have a living and loving God. He not only  knows our needs but also our wants. He is aware of our every situation and through his word assures us to be strong and not to be afraid.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to be aware of his presence in your life. May Jesus be the guiding light and way of your life. And may you yield to his Holy Spirit who will strengthen you and take away every fear. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Mary our Mother

“The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel” (which means “God with us”).
Matthew 1:23 NIV

Reflection:
It was a humble yes from Mary that put into action God's plan for our Salavation.  And we have so much to learn from Mary. Even though she was to be the mother of our Saviour,  she knew that she knew she was just the instrument and will always tells us, “Do whatever he tells you.” John 2:5b

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives yiu the grace to live in humility and to be open to his will and plan for your life. As an instrument nay you always carry his word made flesh in Christ Jesus in your heart as you give it to the other. And May his Holy Spirit help you bear much fruit. Amen

Do not Judge

So you should not pass judgement on anyone before the right time comes. Final judgement must wait until the Lord comes; he will bring to light the dark secrets and expose the hidden purposes of people's minds. And then all will receive from God the praise they deserve.
1 Corinthians 4:5 GNBDK

Reflection:
It is very easy to point a finger at the other, but while we do so, we forget that three fingers point back at us. Judgement belongs to God alone for it is only him that knows our hearts.   While our actions can be good, it is our intentions that matter too.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to stay humility as you acknowledge Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour.  And may his Holy Spirit teach you the ways of God. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Follow Christ

When he finished speaking, he said to Simon, “Push the boat out further to the deep water, and you and your partners let down your nets for a catch.” “Master,” Simon answered, “we worked hard all night long and caught nothing. But if you say so, I will let down the nets.” Jesus said to Simon, “Don't be afraid; from now on you will be catching people.” They pulled the boats up on the beach, left everything, and followed Jesus.
Luke 5:4‭-‬5‭, ‬10‭B-‬11 GNBDK

Reflection:
Jesus was known for his family trade of carpentry, so when He told Simon Peter to cast he nets in the sea for catch, Peter could have rejected that advise, but instead chose to obey. And what a catch he caught,  all glory to Jesus. God knows all the desires, plans, needs and wants in our life. For he himself has placed them in our hearts, and this is done for a purpose, a purpose that is his. The question is are we willing to leave everything and follow Christ?

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father, opens the eyes of your heart to recognize the calling of Jesus. May you be filled with radiant joy and everlasting peace as you willingly leave all else behind to follow Christ. And may his Holy Spirit be with you, in all that you do. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

The Love of God

At daybreak Jesus left the town and went off to a lonely place. The people started looking for him, and when they found him, they tried to keep him from leaving. But he said to them, “I must preach the Good News about the Kingdom of God in other towns also, because that is what God sent me to do.”
Luke 4:42‭-‬43 GNBDK

Reflection:
Each one of us, has been sent on earth for a purpose; and that purpose is to know God, to Love God and to Serve God. And to do all of the above with our own free will. Jesus shows us the way and as Christians we are called not just to follow but to imitate Christ.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father, draws you to Jesus his son. May you experience the love of God like never before and may it set your heart on fire for God as you are led by his Holy Spirit to help others experience this love. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Being Spiritual

It is only the spirit within people that knows all about them; in the same way, only God's Spirit knows all about God.
1 Corinthians 2:11 GNBDK

Reflection:
A lot of people in todays modern society address themselves as spiritual. But what it really means to be spiritual, is to yield to your spirit.  As a Christian, it is through you baptism that you receive God's spirit. But it is to whom you yield; the flesh or spirit, that defines your being.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you th) e grace to to listen to his voice spoken through his word made flesh in Christ Jesus his son so that you can live the abundant life. And in all you do, may you always yield to his Holy Spirit. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Faith a Gift from God

Your faith, then, does not rest on human wisdom but on God's power.
1 Corinthians 2:5 GNBDK

Reflection:
While many of us have different talents and gifts, we all have been given them for the a purpose, to build the kingdom of God. And while we go about using these gifts,  we ought know and remember,  that the foundation to these are faith and faith in God alone. For even with faith the size of a mustard seed, you can move mountains.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the gift of faith, so that you can do even greater works to draw all people closer to his son Jesus.  May his Holy Spirit be with you in all your endeavors. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Clean or Unclean

“You are no more intelligent than the others,” Jesus said to them. “Don't you understand? Nothing that goes into a person from the outside can really make him unclean.” And he went on to say, “It is what comes out of a person that makes him unclean.”
Mark 7:18‭, ‬20 GNBDK

Reflection:
There is a popular adage 'What will people say', which is responsible for a majority of our behavioural pattern. Perhaps that is why as a society we are more focused with what we do on the outside rather than within. But with God it is not like that, for he knows the very thought and intention of our smallest action. For even a noble action can be with selfish intention.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father, gives the grace to look within your heart, may this introspection lead you to submit to Jesus his son, and be filled with his love. And may his Holy Spirit help you to bear much fruit. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)

Boast in the Lord

So then, as the scripture says, “Whoever wants to boast must boast of what the Lord has done.”
1 Corinthians 1:31 GNBDK

Reflection:
At times we'd like to credit ourselves and give emphasis to 'I'. We forget that God enables his grace in us to do  the things we are doing or love to do. For God himself placed these good desires in our heart. But Jesus taught us 'that who wants to be great must be a servant of all, ' let he who wants to boast then, boast in the Lord.

Prayer:
I pray that God our Father gives you the grace to stay in humility as you acknowledge Jesus as your Lord and Saviour. May his Holy Spirit lead you to do greater work as you bear witness to God. Amen

God Bless you and your loved ones :)
